Christmas Build-Up: Day 12

The Christmas Build-Up continues to be on a roll with this fantastic model of a family house!

Ignoring the fact that it doesn't have much to do with Christmas, it looks superb and I am in awe at how many details they could cram in at this small scale: windows, a balcony, front lawn with plants, front door, walkway, a garage, roof and chimney are all included.

Overall - 5.0 - Despite the lack of a holiday theme, the set can't get much better than this!

By in Spain,

Well, the X-mas season is time to stay at home with family and friends, at least in north hemisphere, so a house could be related...5 deserved.

Great little build. But I think you forgot the lamp post! I seem to remember almost missing it myself as it's on the last page.

By in United Kingdom,

This model uses the most pieces so far (40).
At the halfway point, if all models had been built together - they use 310 pieces total.
They use 197 pieces (of the 250 in the set) plus 15 'spares' which are also in the box. They also need an additional 98 pieces not in the box.
Thus far you'd need 4 complete sets to build the first 12 models (at least 3 separate parts have been used 4 times with only 1 each in the set.)

Plus, it actually looks like the thing that it's supposed to be, so thumbs up for that.

This is one of the sets that I am making from my collection although I will not use the same colors or pieces. Micro city!!!

By in Denmark,

I looked at this house and thought 'my goodness, it almost looks like Santa would, if he were a house...'

^Maybe that's where he lives when he's not in the workshop. That could be the Christmas connection.

@gasdoc - I had the same reaction! It's a Santapomorphised house! :D

By in Germany,

This is a rather cool little model (house)! And you don't even have to take apart yesterday's tree to build it...
