Are the bowl pieces new?

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

^yes i really think so!
Can't wait!
The spoon is also new! As well as Lloyds hoodie.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Guess the orange-haired girl really is Misako!

Love high schooler Lloyd with a hood, too. Saw a photo of that minifig in promotional art a few days ago and wondered how we would get it.

The chicken on Wu's cereal box has got to be referencing The Master.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Aaaaaand iphone product placement.

Gravatar
By in Finland,

The shark army officers and Nya look especially nice. But isn't that the same Wu in the sets with just different head (and flakes)?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I want them! No let me rephrase that, I need them!
Cornflake packet.
Sushi bowl.
Volcano PJ's.
etc.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

this is a must have! Huw, would there be a special promo price at your special CMF provider, similar to series 17? Count me in!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is that upper torso piece for Garmadon a new thing? If so, that might work out well as a childs body, though the arms would still need to be smaller.

Gravatar
By in Jordan,

Help, help! I'm being overwhelmed by a deluge of Ninjago news!
I'm loving those new bowl elements!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Soooo good!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I can see lots of nice pieces I want

Gravatar
By in United States,

Garmadon piece isn't new at all, it's used with him before and some of the Air Pirate sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like most of these, but three of them suffer the same problem as the Arkham Asylum Joker from the Lego Batman Movie minifigure series. While I like L-loyd's civillian outfit, I wish that it stayed exclusive to the Ninjago City Chase and/or Ninjago City set(s). His new hood piece and accesories are cool though. Training Nya has the same training outfit that some of the other ninja wear in another set and an activity book, but on the bright side, I wasn't planning on getting either of those. While I like Wu's new movie design, he looks the same as he does in the sets and the obly thing special about him are his corn flakes. Still, while these three are pretty disappointing, I still really like all the other ones.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Only really interested in the Shark Army Great White, but really like some of the new pieces, such as the spoon, bowl, and corn flakes.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Bowl! Spoon! Scarf! Loving it.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Yes, I am so aiming for the Shark Army General.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I don't like misako... she could be Lloyds girlfriend rather than mother.

She reminds me of aunt may...

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

O no! If you look closer to the package it looks like we are getting a normal ninja suit Lloyd...

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ Hopefully we see something different on the legs or head print at least :(

Gravatar
By in United States,

As a non-ninjago fan who gets *mainly* City and Modulars, there is a lot to like torso and accessory-wise here. I'll definitely be getting a fair few to use for other purposes.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like these. I look forward to the reveal of the other ten.

When is the expected release date?

Gravatar
By in United States,

^^ August. :-)

Gravatar
By in United States,

They look like fun!
Is the release date Sept. 1?

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

White pants with black boots!

Gravatar
By in United States,

. . . and I'm guessing that eating cereal is some sort of reoccurring theme or gag throughout the movie - hence the box of cereal and the multiple figures with bowls and spoons???

Gravatar
By in United States,

Confirmed: I need every single set in this series. Every. Single. Set.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

That Sonny Chiba / Hattori Hanzo Look-a-Like Figure!! Sooooo good!

Gravatar
By in United States,

We finally get our first Game of Thrones figure: the blackfish.

There are a lot of great pieces and hair molds in these sets.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Okay.. I don't collect Ninjago... but damn these movie sets are awesome and making me want them.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Really want the corn flakes piece. I can finally get the the right kind of cereal for my seinfeld moc.

Gravatar
By in United States,

And the Want List keeps growing. Even the minifigures I don't care for (like only 1 or 2) have accessories that I've got to have! I think Lego has gotten wind to the fact that even a lackluster minifigure + a new, very cool accessory = a must buy. Evil genious!

Gravatar
By in United States,

They made Misako young?!?! My respect for this movie just lowered. In the show, she was a potential love interest for Wu, now she looks like she could be his granddaughter.

Rather disappointed with her, the rest of the figures look great!

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

^ so true.

Okay so I need 1000$ in 4 months and 5 days. To Disney springs (cause Lego is so expensive in Sweden). 65$ more in Sweden for Ninjago city!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The sushi guys legs will be great for grand admiral thrawn if you haven't already taken a rubber to a mad scientist!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Fantastic design on the china bowl. But I wish we could get LEGO chopstick accessories one day (obviously not functioning chopsticks, but perhaps a single moulded piece of crossed chopsticks or something). Really loving the hair and accessory designs in this series though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not sure I'll collect all of them, but I like them more than I thought I would. Great new accessories. Would be great to get them at $2.99 at the end of their run (like Disney CMFs right now).
Well, $3.19, I guess.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I love Shark Army Great White guy, the design is so cool!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Love these mainly for the hair pieces on nya and Misako, and them bowls and that cornflake box..

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look great. I don't care for ninjago, but I can appreciate new prints/pieces and these fit the bill. I was hoping to not like these since I wouldn't normally buy ninjago. But now it looks like I will have to pick up most of them. And this is only half! Bah!

Gravatar
By in Norway,

I love the little utensils like the bowls and that black fish! I must have them!

Gravatar
By in United States,

All of those new pieces are dope! The ones that stand out to me are the scarf and the hood for Lloyd, they seem like they would be incredibly useful for any City layout or scene. So cool!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Some fabulous new parts. Really excited for the scarf and the corn flakes. Also are collectible garmadons a thing now?

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Wt* just happened?! In the last 24 hours Ninjago suddenly became my (ours?) favourite theme..!? Well done Lego, I`m very impressed!

Gravatar
By in France,

looks like my least favourite cmf series since I began buying them, so series 12. the sets are great, but I really prefer the character design from the original ninjago serie.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I find it hilarious that the Great White is a black shark, and those bowl accessories are a must have for oriental builds. As everyones mentioned, Misako is WAY too young, but what'll you do.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

This is so cool! Love the bowls and the metallic spoons! Gotta get Jay's scarf, too.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think that the young Misako and the Ninja in high school outfits might be teasing that the ninja are going to travel back in time in the movie.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Very interesting. I like these figures and I think these compare quite well to the Lego Batman Movie CMFs. Now, we know the rank of the general.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Couple things:
1. I also prefer the original series character designs, so it has taken me a while to warm up to these, although admittedly, both the sets and the movie trailer look great.
2. Young Misako - I'm hoping that maybe she appears in a flashback in the movie when Wu, Garmadon and Misako are all young, and she is still La-loyd's mother and not his classmate.
3. LOVE the scarf, bowls, hoodie and other accessories.
4. Can someone please explain to me why the Shark Army Great White character is a Great Black Shark?!?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@brick_knight
Maybe you're right! My personal theory is that they're siblings in this film. I personally prefer her new look! Especially the hair.

Jay's awesome. Everything. His hair is great, his torso looks amazing (at least what I can see of it...). But, naturally, it's the SCARF I'm most excited about. Just a great series.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

@AdamDaLegoGuy I where thinking the same!
@mmccollum There are some burn print on top of the mold.
Also look at his legs! Maybe he ones was a noble great white shark but one day his life turned, he got burned by Kai's fire mech and lost his white skin. Now he seeks revenge... or he accidentally burned himself with his fish-flamethrower-thingy.
(Maybe he wasn't that noble cause he was fighting with Kai... or burned himself).

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@Brick_Knight Decent theory. The rest of his torso seems to be melted and/or oozing too. But I also just noticed the low battery warning indicator on his chest. What could possibly be up with that?

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are fantastic! CMFs are the best thing ever. If I had to get rid of all my Lego, my CMF collection would be the last to go.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I had high expectations, and these surpassed them.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@monkyby87 - I asked the same thing a couple of days ago and someone pointed out that it's the regular extended body piece but just turned the other way round. So there's an additional ribbed part of the top torso hanging down at the rear

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I need the sushi's chef's legs for Admiral Thrawn or Colonel Yularen. I already updated Krennic with the gourmet chef's.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I find it interesting that the set descriptions keep referring to her as Misako, but the previous descriptions from the movie have her as Koko (which is also seen on her nametag) so I wonder if one is a nickname or if there's a miscommunication in the set write-ups. (As far as her age, she looks like she could be a young mother to Lloyd, and since this is a new continuity, anything goes.)

While I'm not a fan of all the figs here, many do look great, so I foresee myself buying another full set of characters. Jay would probably be my favorite of this batch.

Also, while they had used the two-torso trick on Garmadon before, this is a new mold that lacks built-in armor, so that's neat.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Been waiting ages for a scarf piece (something that always felt sorely missing from the Winter Village sets), happy to see it finally becoming reality!

Nice-looking figures overall.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Dunno why TLG insist on having 20 - that's scuppered my neat OCD plans again as I'll have to spread them over a 16 CMF display case and an 8 CMF display case too...

Gravatar
By in United States,

@xccj We've known for a while that Koko is just a nickname.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

I am not a fan of Ninja Go (I do not have any item from it), but I think I will get some of the minifigures. I have all the other collectible series, so, I must continue the collection.
Interesting minifigures:
- Misako: interesting civilian to complete any City scene.
- Volcano Garmadon: not a figure for a common scene, but the upper body part, which seems smaller than a normal one, it's interesting to collect.
- Jay Walker: a must-have minifigure for a City scene: the scarf and selfi-stick are superb.
- Master Wu: only the Corn Flakes box is appealing.
- Sushi master: I like the sushi pieces and another knife is available. I like the recycled piece for hair, using the hairpiece of the pirate of the CMF Series 16.
- Gong and Guitar Rocker: Another minifigure for the band!! It's perfect. Another guitar, another rocker in a different suit. I love that LEGO has recycled the hairpiece of the hippy of CMF Series 8.
- Shark Army General 1: I only like the hairpiece and the recycled drink from the hot dog seller from Series 17.
- Lloyd Garmadon: the spoon, the bowl and the hut are amazing!!

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

I'm not a big fan of Ninjago but I really like the corn flakes pack and the sushi plate. That's amazing stuff :P

Gravatar
By in United States,

I am not too familiar with the Ninjago theme but am loving these minifigs. Does anyone have an idea who that female with the pink hair is on the packaging? Looks like a great hair piece.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I'm also in the 'not a Ninjago fan but will buy these for the bits' crowd. Looks like these figures will be a great help in my (planned) Big Trouble in Little China MOC.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'll probably get a few of these for the new parts even though I dislike Ninjago (which they were going to cancel in 2013!)

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

I find it very interesting how many of these minifigures seem to fill in missing roles from the newly-announced NINJAGO city modular. Sushi chef, some plainclothes ninjas, more "cityfolk". I feel this theme is definitely intended to compliment that new set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The sushi chef's legs will be great for Grand Admiral Thrawn!! Definitely getting that guy at some point

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I'm not into Ninjago at all but I'll try to get the sushi chef and the rocker, those two are awesome!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Kinda torn...
On one hand Lloyd's hood is amazing--- but on the other I hate yellow skin minifigs. They just look weird, and I prefer the nougat skins.
Anyone know where I can get a green hoodie without the yellow showing?

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

"Jay Walker" lol

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

^ wait there is a a Ivy walker in the Ninjago city set! Are they related? Jay and Ivy walker? She is not jays mum. That's Edna.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I especially like Wu's cereal box with the chicken who beat him on it.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

I'm in love with Jay's new Scarf Piece!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Guys. I'm pretty sure that's not Misako. Evidence being. On her shirt is a name tag that says KoKo. She looks like she's the same age as Lloyd which is disturbing and I'm pretty sure I saw another character that looked exactly like Misako from the show on the Ninjago city set. I could be wrong, but why would Misako wear KoKo's name tag?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@RyanTh3Great: From my understanding, Koko is just Misako's nickname in the movie. And I don't agree that she looks Lloyd's age. Just because she doesn't have wrinkles or grey hair doesn't mean she can't be the parent of a teenager. In the show she practically looks old enough to be Lloyd's grandmother, especially since the show version of Lloyd was much younger than the movie version when we first met him.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

^ Thats true. But the Ninjago city winking misako looks much younger.
Wu shouldn't be that old...
