The LEGO NINJAGO Movie trailer #2 released!
Posted by TheBrickPal,It's been nearly half a year since the first one, but finally we have a new, second LEGO NINJAGO Movie trailer fresh out of last night's SDCC panel!
As well, a new poster released for Comic-Con, which was given out for signing by the cast, has been revealed by MTV. The ninja team, Wu and Misako stand front and center, as father and son Garmadon and Lloyd do mech battle in the background.
You can watch the new trailer after the break. Be wary of potential spoilers...
What do you think? Are you even more excited for September 22nd than you were before? Less? The same? Let us know in the comments below.
The battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, also secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat the evil warlord Garmadon, who also happens to be Lloyd's dad. Pitting father against son, the epic showdown tests these fierce but undisciplined modern-day ninjas as they learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash the inner power of Spinjitzu.

Still pretty excited. The humor seems to work with the voice actors, and what is up with that cat??? Seems like a big reveal. But I'll definitely be seeing it!
So.. Garmadon turns good and they fight a giant cat beast at the end? Did they just spoil the entire 2nd half of the movie?
Okay that is insanely spoilery. I'll never learn :\
^^ I'd assume the cat is just a quick gag to tease the real life stuff more, before The LEGO Movie Sequel really delves into it.
I spy Bob from Bob's Kabobs in the LEGO Movie (and set 70812)! You can also see other known LEGO minifigs, like the tram driver from City set 60097.
I wonder how the actual toy sets will incorporate the real-world stuff. The original Lego Movie had a heck of a time doing it. Best we got was the brick-built battery and Krazy Glue tube, which looked...OK, but obviously weren't the "real" things.
The 7 year old boy part of me couldn't help cackling uncontrollably when Garmadon pantsed Wu :)
I love Ninjago and gosh this looks like such a fun film, see you all September 22nd. I'll be the shameless fanboy in the homemade ninja suit. ;)
I simply can't wait! I know they WILL suprise us- as they did with Lego Movie and Batman Movie.
I want that bus at 1:06!!!!!
lol. That was better then the first trailer. A pity they gave away the joke. Spoilertastic but without it my anticipation would be much lower.
It looks good but I must say that Chan doing Sensei Wu his voice is really .... crap... his voice is totally wrong. The cartoon voice is a kazillion times better.
I really like Garmadon. He's the perfect bad guy.
Wha... garmadon is evil but then he turns good and they all are battling a huge cat? I wonder if the cat will come out in a set? :P
Great trailer! What's that cat?!?
Meow!
Must. Have. Baby. Lloyd.
Meowfra something?
I Hope we get a set that's just a big cat and some minifigs
Weird. Jackie Chan is an odd choice for Wu.
it bugs me how the Lego movies are becoming less and less Lego! I'm not talking about the cat, but the water, rocks, smoke, some of the food, fire and the plants! in the Lego movie everything except the relics were completely made out of Lego!?
ELH2806
This movie takes place outside - thats why they added realistic elements.
The Batman Movie was full Lego besides water.
Well that explains the 'real' laser pointer in the sets...
Even more excited to catch this now, could be better than TLBM
The one point where the movie loses me is that they essentially rebooted the characters and their growth (Zane finding out he is a robot, his sacrifice, the real emotions that the Ninjas went through and their rivalries). Other than that it looks cool.
Edit: nice to see Garmadon Samurai Mech in all its glory unlike the scaled down version (which still looks good and it's understandable that it was as well as the Shark Mech).
Does one of the sets come with a cat? And is it brick built?
Can't wait for the movie.
I can't decide if I like this or not. One thing for sure though, is that they reused way too much footage from the first trailer.
@giantorange the cat is not brick built, it is a real cat! :P
It was a very surprising yet action packed trailer. I think it is interesting.
I've been waiting forever for this and I have to say...
Giant cat...not what I was expecting. I'd think the Overlord or maybe Makuta but given the style of LEGO films that actually makes more sense.
I'm glad Garmadon is coming to the side of good in this one, that was one of the big things that made him enduring in the original, his wilingness to put evil aside for his son.
Meowthra is a parody on the Mothra from Godzilla. This movie looks awesome!
Fun trailer, hopefully the movie still has some surprises left over. I really want that armored archer Misako fig (at the 1:25 mark) now!
This trailer is a lot better than the first one and 'The Master' short that played before the movie Storks. I'm much more excited for the movie now.
I do rather wonder how much of the movie is actually being shown here, if the cat shows up only halfway through or if this is a spoiler for the ending...
So apparently this was the first thing I felt I needed to make an account for just so that I could comment...
At 2:12 the Shark Army General tackling Lloyd has a seriously creepy face.
That's the stuff of nightmares.
Wonder if this reveals something about the Shark Army not being completely human (or minifigure in this case)
For those concerned about the use of real effects, this is done AFTER TLM when Emmett discovers the "truth" about him and his pals. This may be that the kid went to play with his brother and cat outside.
Not available in my country!?
Assuming the cat is going to be the main villain, it'll be one expensive set! :P
What kind of movie script is this.. having a real cat coming into Lego scene, trying to depict the scale of Lego vs real life object or just for having a laugh? A cinema is not a youtube channel!
IT'S A KITTY
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to be honest, I liked this trailer a whole lot more than the first. I think the cat was a little too much of a spoiler though.
It really does look awesome. My 4 yr old daughter is stoked for it so that means I'm justified in taking her to see it. Sweet! :-)
I think the flashbacks are absolutely hilarious, Garmadon has always been inexplicably four-armed and monstrous!
This looks like another massive hit. I was lucky enough to pick up some of the sets at Legoland and I must say, after seeing the sets up close and now these two trailers, the biggest mystery of this movie seems to be the bizarre shark army. My guess is they're hiding a major plot twist...
For those who think Jackie Chan isn't the right fit to play an Asian martial arts master....well I just find that silly, sorry. He's absolutely perfect as Wu, the cartoon voice actor is far too western.
@MiniFigFiend I totally agree about Jackie chan!
I still wonder, was he ALWAYS a four armed monster? Or just as an adult?
Boy, I wonder if he even is Wu's brother.
Took a look through the trailer and tried translating some of the stuff. I didn't do it to the first trailer so some of this stuff was probably already figure out, but:
- there's a sign that you see right away that shows up multiple times that seems to say "BBQ" possibly with an exclamation mark at the end? Not sure what that pitchfork symbol with the two M shapes on either side means (if it even means anything)
- a gigantic sign that says FISH
- the school bus has a picture of a duck on top with the text "DUCK" beside it... surprised?
- The kid cheering in the schoolbus with classic Lloyd on his shirt definitely says "Green Ninja"
- Some other buildings have: "BRIC WORKS" "BANK" "HAPPY NINJA" "ARCADE" and a sign at the docks that says "DOCKS" (lettering facing toward the city)
There's other random combinations of letters that don't mean anything to me like HEF, "WAYK" and the school bus license plate... possibly initials of people who worked on the film?
Lots more to translate, but I had some fun. Do we know what the letter X looks like yet?
^A chart was recently found at the LEGO Store in some form and a picture was snapped on it on Tumblr: http://68.media.tumblr.com/a0d7ce9534e7b8ed0c667f4346d1e93e/tumblr_otkdtdR7yQ1r8u2llo1_1280.jpg
Now I'm really looking forward to it... This looks awesome!
Can anyone identify the songs? I know the last one is Bad Blood, but googling 'I'm a warlord' and 'the people are chanting' didn't get me the remaining two songs.
