City Advent Calendar: Day 8
Posted by CapnRex101,
The first week of this year's LEGO City Advent Calendar has yielded only a single figure and the snowboarder from day two is therefore starting to look rather lonely. Perhaps today's door will reveal another minifigure to accompany him.
This lady is looking very festive, wearing a knitted cardigan and holding a tray of fresh cookies. I am always pleased to add some more food elements to my collection so these printed tiles are very welcome and a spare is included too. The dark bluish grey 2x2 round plate is an effective representation of a baking tray and it is easy to place this accessory in a minifigure's hand thanks to the tube underneath.
I love the bright light blue cardigan which features a decorative dark blue pattern on both sides to match the dark blue legs and this component is quite rare, having appeared in just three other sets. The head and hair piece are similarly scarce as both are available in only five sets, some of which are quite expensive so may not form part of most collections.
Both elements look superb. The head includes some wrinkles as well as a pair of glasses and a kind expression while the hair is neatly tied in a bun, as one would expect of someone who has been baking cookies.
Overall - 5.0 - Today's minifigure looks marvellous, includes some rare pieces and comes with a useful accessory so is a perfect addition to the Advent Calendar in my opinion.

Granny bringing a tray of her famous cookies, and a spare for her to ea, is the best of today's advent Calendar items in my view.
I gave her the gingerbread house.
My son loved this one and is planning on giving it to my mother as it reminds him of her. She is always baking cookies and he immediately knew he wanted her to have this minifigure. It looks great and the cookies are a fabulous touch.
it looks like spongebobs grandma if she were human
