Descriptions of summer Star Wars sets
Posted by CapnRex101,
Unfortunately, photography was not permitted at the Nuremberg Toy Fair this year but we have still learned a great deal about many of the sets being released in the summer of 2018 over the last couple of days.
Many of the upcoming Star Wars sets were among those on display and Promobricks has now published some information about them. This includes details of the minifigure selections as well as Euro prices in Germany which give an indication of what each set might cost around the world.
75206 Jedi and Clone Troopers Battle Pack
- 16.99€
- Ki-Adi-Mundi, Barriss Offee, Clone Trooper (x2)
This Battle Pack includes two Jedi, two Phase I Clone Troopers and a small dropship-like vehicle. Barriss Offee features a new skirt element.
75208 Yoda's Hut
- 29.99€
- Luke Skywalker, Yoda, R2-D2
Yoda's hut is similar in size to the hut from 75200 Ahch-To Island Training and is furnished with a kitchen area and a bed. Luke includes a bracket which allows Yoda to ride on his back, just as in the movie.
75213 Star Wars Advent Calendar
- 29.99€
- General Antoc Merrick, Rose Tico, Guavian Security Soldier, IG-88, {unknown Droid}
The Advent Calendar mini models include an X-34 Landspeeder, an AT-ACT, Anakin's Delta-7B Light Interceptor and a Rathtar.
75214 Anakin's Jedi Starfighter
- 29.99€
- Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2
This set is based upon Anakin's Delta-7B Aethersprite-class Light Interceptor from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Ten years have passed since the previous version of this vehicle, 7669 Anakin's Jedi Starfighter, was released.
75216 Snoke's Throne Room
- 69.99€
- Supreme Leader Snoke, Rey, Kylo Ren, Elite Praetorian Guard (x2)
75216 Snoke's Throne Room is reminiscent of 75093 Death Star Final Duel and features a rotating lift, Supreme Leader Snoke's throne and a function which allows you to drag Rey across the floor, as though using the Force.
75218 X-wing Starfighter
- 99.99€
- Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, {unknown Rebel Pilot}, {unknown Astromech Droid}
This X-wing is part of Red Squadron from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The latest version of this famed starfighter features a revised engine design as well as the canopy introduced in 2015 which has not been used for a T-65 X-wing before. Zusammengebaut reports that the set also includes a large number of stickers.
75220 Sandcrawler
- 129.99€
- Luke Skywalker, Jawa (x2), {unknown Droid (x3)}
75059 Sandcrawler, released in 2014, consists of over 3000 pieces but this rendition is much smaller so is presumably more comparable with 10144 Sandcrawler from 2005. Nevertheless, it includes a detailed interior and many play features.
At least one additional retailer exclusive set is also rumoured but has yet to be confirmed and was not on display at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Furthermore, five sets based upon Solo: A Star Wars Story will be released in April but those were not on display either.
Which of these sets are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments.

Only *two* Praetorian Guards? Karabast & keystrokes! At least do one of each style so we can throw money at LEGO and recreate the full complement if we so desire! Gah!
@theJang my guess is that we'll get a Praetorian Guard Battle pack at some point.
@beskadberserker Fingers crossed for that battle pack.
I want the Snoke's Throne Room set!!!!!! Day one purchase for those Praetorian Guards!!!!!!!
A $100 X-Wing?!?!? How much longer can people afford Star Wars LEGO, where is the limit? A $200 X-Wing?!
I've seen the leaks, it looks the same as the last few $70 ones.
$100...for an X-Wing.
Eh good thing I have the 2012 one.
Boring Barriss Offee again... Coleman Trebor was such a better choice.
Snoke's Throne Room is the only set I'm interested in because it's not a rehash of something I already have.
V-19 Torrent please and thank you.
Snoke's Throne Room will be a must-have, and I'm also quite intrigued by the Sandcrawler; I never wanted to drop $300 on one but $130 will do just fine. Would be better if it featured Aunt Beru (only been 20 years Lego!) but hey, you can't have everything.
Only Star Wars set I'm interested this year is the rumored UCS Cloud City.
Snoke's Throne Room sounds good, especially since I got Death Star Duel in 2015!
I'll be curious to see what improvements they've made to the X-Wing but I can't imagine they'd convince me to sell 9493 in exchange for this. Probably just spring-shooters and a couple exclusive figs.
Any further descriptions for summer City sets?
Like any news on Fun at the -something-?
Glad I'll have a chance to pick up Ki-Adi-Mundi!
Holy moly. Guess I'm modifying my old X-wing instead then.
I'll take Yoda's hut and sandcrawler, please. Maybe Snoke's throne room, but we'll see.
But I have to agree that the price for X-wing is a bit silly, but considering that the last two Resistance ones were very close or even over 100€ here, I shouldn't be that surprised
Where are the Rebels sets for season 4???
I wasn't aware Brickset was allowed to publish descriptions of sets even where you can't share actual images. Pictures for some of these have been circulating for months and this confirms their authenticity. Well, I guess it's not the sharing but the viewing of leaks that's risky.
I'm guessing, given the price of the two recent Resistance X-wings in Euros compared to USD, the USD price for this one will be more reasonable, closer to $80.
For what I have seen, Yodas hut is a little too high, there is no chance for Luke to knock his head. Also, the outside could have been made a lot nicer. It has a dirty R2 though, but only the body part is muddy, legs and head are as usual. There was a strange solution for Lukes backpack to carry Yoda, it was neither blue as in the move, nor was Yoda sitting correctly, but I guess there is no art to could have helped this. What I don't know, if there are ground vehicles included in the X-wing. I believe for a price of 100€ there should be something, so if anybody got a better view or info here, let me know please.
100 Euro for an X-Wing (the one must buy for me) !! Won’t be touching this until it’s on sale, ie buy 1 get the other half price kind of retail deals.
Was very tempted for the Snoke’s throne room, but only 2 guards, should have been at least 4
Also very disappointed with the lack of Rebels related sets.
It seems to me that they didn’t get the sales they wanted during season 1 of the show, and besides an overpriced Thrawn set, gave up. Whereas given the aftermarket price for the Ghost now , they should have waited another season.
If a new Ghost was to be released and reasonably priced I am sure many would be clamouring to buy it.
I hope the unknown rebel pilot is Biggs Darklighter!
^ I'd rather wedge antilles
Think I mirror most peoples sentiments in that Yoda's Hut, Snoke's Throne Room and the Sandcrawler are on my to buy list.
I definitely agree though, they should have had at least 4 guards with the throne room.
100eur xwing :D see you at 50% discount :)
Are these all the sets? I heard about a transport ship with TLJ Leia, Nein Numb(FINALLY!!!!) and a few other minifigures. Also there is the V19 (likely a TRU exclusive). I think Rowan from the Freemaker Adventures is in the advent calander.
That X-Wing is crazy priced and it is not even the Blue Leader ship (so far it is Luke again and no mention of Hera or other converting feature like Wedge Antilles ship), the same thing with this year Tie Figther; the X-Wing should be $60 while the Tie $50 and they each better have the pieces to justify such cost.
i wanted to get the previous Sandcrawler but it was too expensive for me maybe i can get this one!!
Lego ... I know the X wing is awesome and like the greatest starfighter design ever but that's gonna be like £90 in the UK isn't it? geez ...
Can you, you know do something really awesome? like give us, the fans THE OUTRIDER and THE MOLDY CROW.
You've done "non canon" sets before (look at the sandspeeder from lately!). I know you can do it.
Dash, Kyle and Mara need official Lego representation dammit!
The clone and Jedi pack are great. Ki-Adi-Mundi really deserved a prequel figure. Barris is a nice bonus and so are the Phase I troopers.
Yoda's Hut is the Ahch-To version of the OT. However, far more memorable than Rey's pseudo training. And a dirty mud R2 and Dagobah Luke are must have.
Snooke's Throne Room, if done like the Emperor's Throne Room from 2015, is going to be awesome. The battle in the movie was nowhere as iconic as ROTJ, but a set with Rey, Kylo ans Praetorian is very temptive.
This year's Advent has everything to be one of the worst of all time, hahaha. So lame.
Well that’s money saved!! At those prices i am not inspired until i see pics
Sounds very promising. jedi and Clone Troopers Battle Pack, Yoda's Hut and Anakin's Jedi Starfighter are already on my wishlist, can't wait for them to be released! I'd like to see some more upgraded versions of CW sets or even better, vehicles and figures that haven't been made into LEGO yet.
@AussieSamurai, I totally agree about the Rebels sets. I was really hoping for a Hera piloted x-wing in sand green as shown in the attack on Lothal.
I'm pretty sure the Rebel Pilot included in the X-Wing set is Wedge.
No word on what the additional pilot in the X-wing looks like? What colors on the helmet? And do they re-use the torso & leg design from the microfighter? Or were the minifigs just stand ins?
One last round of Rebels sets would be great, fingers x'ed.
This sounds like an overall very fun wave.
And Brickchap, the unreliable info I have is the people pack is Fun on the Mountain.
I think it's a bit too early for another Sandcrawler. Though I'm really excited for the battle pack, Yoda's Hut, X- Wing, and Snoke's throne room!
Still waiting for an (Rebels) YT-2400 ...
What about the new V-19 Torrent? That's what I'm most excited for.
No Tie Bomber, I have to put that last sting.
I really hope that the x-wing isn't $100. However, I feel like its one of those situation like the Hyperdive ring where the rumored price was $130 but the actual set was $100, so Im still hopeful that the x-wing will be an $80 set.
We do need REBELs. A new Ghost is a must. Yoda Hut And Snoke Throne Room sounds great, though.
WHAT ABOUT THE TRANSPORT SHIP WITH AN OLDER LEIA AND NEIN NUNB?? I thought I was gonna finally have a nein nunb minifigure ,oh well at least the battle pack , yoda’s hut ,snokes throne room, sand crawler and Anakin star fighter sound good! Hopefully the Anakin is an updated Anakin figure not just a RotS or AotC figure ! Also the calendar doesn’t have as many figures as last year :( hopefully Rowan Freemaker is still included!
$100 for an X-Wing? Seriously? There's got to be some add-ins to justify that price.
Sounds like a pretty decent wave otherwise; will probably keep an eye on the Sandcrawler and Yoda's Hut. Alternatively, if LEGO does wind up doing a UCS Cloud City, I'll probably save up for that instead. I have the original, which is an impressive set by itself, but an update would be wonderful.
Lol, all these Americans complaining that their X-Wing is $100, the last one was $140 in Aus and you didn't hear a peep out of us.
Bejesus... okay, well, the "positives". A new and affordable Dagobah set?!?! LEGO's lost their gord! I'm sooo happy to be able to get a Yoda's Hut set that isn't as much as a used car.
Snoke's Throne Room desperately needs more guards. There were six I believe... SIX. 4 normal ones, with two of each having having a slightly different helmet, along with the Elite variants with the Darth Maul-esque dual sided Vibro-blades and the cool sci-fi Sensai rice hats. However, the set is a highly requested one, so that's good to see a semi-cheap way for people to get TLJ Snoke, Rey, Kylo. as well as two guards from one of the best Lightsaber fights in Star Wars history.
As for the rest... eh, for me they range from okay but not particularly desirable (Anakin's Starfighter, Sandcrawler) to just inept (X-Wing fighter, Clone BP).
I would be more excited for the Clone Battle Pack IF they had more Clones! Considering the new Battlefront game came out (I know, I know...) it would have been a cool opportunity to give us a Clone Officer, along with three others that could be given visors for more customization. The two Jedi are nice to get for cheap I suppose, but they also go against the idea of a battle pack in the first place! They could have gone the route of the Bounty Hunter pack and given us a purely Jedi pack adding in some others like Shaak-Ti and Illuminara, OR a battle pack like every other battle pack and have an assortment of 4 Clone Troopers, but double-dipping like that- to me at least- makes it far less desirable for either purpose.
And the X-Wing... ugh. What kid can afford an X-Wing that's going to be anywhere from 90-110 dollars?!?! Couple that with the $80 TIE-Fighter coming with Solo, and someone's paying nearly $200 dollars. Just for the two most iconic ship in Star Wars. That's a Christmas for someone. I can't quite tell if the ludicrous jack up in price is the result of Disney, LEGO or both, but I don't see how this is an effective business strategy for a toy company to sell toys that so few people can afford. Oh well, those are just my dumb thoughts on the line, you?
To those concerned about a couple of rumoured sets which are not mentioned here, bear in mind that store exclusive products are rarely on display at the Toy Fairs.
I'm guessing that the V-19 and Resistance transport probably aren't happening. If you look at the 'leaked' descriptions that said we'd be getting a V-19 and Resistance transport, they claimed that Snoke's throne room came with 2 unique guards, which contradicts the reports from toy fair. Some other details don't appear to match with what we now know; they probably just got lucky with their guesses.
I am still expecting some Ep VIII sets and maybe a Solo set too? Given how Lego likes rereleases, it wouldn't shock me if we got an updated Kylo Ren shuttle or Resistance A-Wing, for example.
Considering that I made the correct assumption that Lego would release a Snoke Throne Room Duel without any prior knowledge, reading or leaks supplied to me would suggest that sometimes it's simple enough just to 'guess' upcoming sets. I wouldn't have seen the (another) X-Wing coming though, and at a sky-high £80 or £90 probably. Bearing in mind a perfectly good X-Wing with Jek Porkins included was only £50 in 2012. Has inflation really made £50 into £90?
All the sets look good, excepting the Snoke Throne Room set; much like the uninspired film it is from, it sounds like exactly the same thing as the Final Duel set. But the prices are to be expected; look at how successful the Falcon has been...
I'd love more Rebels sets. They've been my favourites. More money for me less for LEGO I guess.
A UCS Rebels set this spring would be fantastic. I don't think they would do the Ghost because it world have to be larger than the Falcon from last year. Something like a UCS AT-AT with Rebels themed mini figures and possibly a small speeder would be cool.
I really love it that they are releasing these sets from the original trilogy again. But the prices are going through the roof.
Longtime brickset follower, this is my first post. Hello all!
If we are talking Rebels, I was also hoping for a shot at Zeb. We have had many of all the other characters, even a couple Hera. Is it me or did TLG forget Zeb?
honestly judging the price of the x-wing isnt fair. we dont know how many pieces it has so we cant really say if its overpriced or not.
Yoda's Hut is enough to excite me. The rest of the wave sounds fine besides the usual high prices. Not a ton of interest in Snoke's Throne Room from me but we'll see.
I'm going to grow old and decrepit while I sit and wait for an updated TIE Interceptor, aren't I?
