Yes. All of them. My wallet is (not) ready.
I need that blue raptor.
70841 IS A PERFECTION.
Too funny! Love them all! Must-haves! :-)
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME - Love these!
Benny's Battle pack?!?
Pink Lego astronaut! And… are those old style helmets? I don't know how I can justify buying army-building amounts, but I can't imagine I'm the only person considering it.
I'm amazed Emmet found a way to top the ridiculousness of the Double Decker Couch. I had a small choking fit when I saw that set.
My wallet is going to hate me.
Pink Spaceman? PINK SPACEMAN?!? And the old space helmets are back! W00T!!
Notice the "unbroken chin" classic Space helmets!
I noticed that 70826 has a new colour for the 1x1 leaf part - Trans-Orange!
And 70828 brings in a new colour!
OK. I'm gonna be honest. This looks really low-effort to me.
The movie waves have just had a really high standard. TLM, TLBM, and TLNM waves were some of the best sets Lego had ever produced. These sets don't look quite bad, but they don't blow me away. The Benny Battle Pack looks great. That's about it.
1. My son will *need* that blue raptor from Rex's Rex-treme Offroader (70826) to round out his collection.
2. OMG! Where was Unikitty's Sweetest Friends EVER! (70822) when I was building my ice cream stand MOC? The prints on that ice cream cone make it much better than the one I built with inspiration from Ice Cream Machine (70804). And it looks like it's a $10 set, so that's a no-brainer. I also *love* that anthropomorphized chocolate bar!
3. I need that pink astronaut from Benny's Space Squad (70841). She's the perfect color to be the ride operator for my motorized Amusement Park Space Ride (41128). This one also looks like a $10 set, so--again--no-brainer!
Oh deary me. Time to start saving...
MUST HAVE ALL
On a second pass: the UCS Slave 1 canopy in trans purple, with Glam Rock Unikitty? What looks like a $20-$30 set with General Mayhem? A return of the 2x4 slope with Classic Space logo print and trans yellow 3x6 windscreen? This is all good stuff.
So, based on 70824 and 70825, Queen Whatevra Wa'Nabi can transform herself in many ways, right?
And by the name itself, it should be a message to "free" the creativity, right?
Holly Kittens this is just awesome, i love the Unikitty and Sweet Friends, Benny and his Friends, Emmets house the most. My least fav is the junior one
Really glad to see Unikitty built in the style of the show builds for the TLM sets now!
That spaceman pack!!!!
Benny's Space Squad is a day 1 purchase!!!
Emmet's Dream House / Rescue Rocket is also gonna be a day 1 just because of the Bright Bluish Green colored brick separator! Finally, another color that isn't Dark Green or Bright Orange!!!
I NEED Emmet and his SQUAD!!!
The classic space ship and the “battle pack” are amazing sets in their own right, movie or no movie
I need to buy the Benny’s Space Squad Set! It’s so awesome! The others seem like a pass, but I really hope the movie meets the standards the first one set
Oh my god classic space minifigure in PINK!!!!!
Looks like we'll be getting a lot of pocket money sets which is a good thing.
A lot of the sets look like stuff I would have assembled as a kid (in relatively short time as well). That I think makes them 'nice' on a certain level, i.e., in that they manage to capture this 'let's just cobble together something fun out of Lego and go play' spirit. They do this excellently.
However, I do admit that as an AFOL that's not really what I'm looking for (anymore) in a set. Having said that: a pink spaceman? How can you not buy that? :) And that bus looks intriguing in a strange kind of ways
Just a FYI. The sets are all listed at the online shop with full description, more pictures, and prices. So pumped for these! :D https://shop.lego.com/en-US/the-LEGO-movie-2-sets
There are some additional images on The Brothers Brick website showing the sets in more detail including box images, minifigures etc. They also show that a number of the sets are 2 in 1 or 3 in 1, such as Emmet's Dream House which can be rebuilt into his Rescue Rocket.
These sets look fantastic overall, I love the creativity and variety on display here. Still waiting for those heavy hitters like Benny's Spaceship or the Sea Cow from the first movie.
Very happy to see these! Looking at 70821, the straightforward builds for the spaceship and the car make me think this will be labeled as a “4+” set, anyone else?
@akunthita: Thanks for that heads up!
Seems most of these are reasonably priced and from box images, have some good play features.
Wow those sets are bad, like really bad. The Rex sets are decent, but I think I'll be saving a ton of money and be buying 10 of the battlepacks!
Nice Vince Toulouse Bus.
Well They are certainly varied..... but I wasn't expecting to be saying I like the Dinosaurs, Unikitty's "Flares or bell bottoms" and the Pink Space man in any sentence ever, never mind to do with a Lego Movie. I suppose they can pick from any theme with it.
Oh-my-gosh-that-space-squad!
It is all very 4+ like.
70834 Metalbeard's Heavy Metal Motor the least.
Classic Space theme fan here! I like these sets.
A brick separator in a new color!
I also like the part usage for the chocolate bar in the Unikitty set.
Like other Lego movies related sets, there is no limit (looking like realistic things or licensed source) to creativity
70835 Rex's Rexplorer has a raptor gun speeder and a RAPTOR SKATEBOARD. I mean... can it get better than that?
A bit expensive, but absolutely amazing, original, funny and creative sets! The designers and team behind the movie have unleashed their full creativite power! That's what LEGO is all about! Congrats on them!
I'm going to have to spend a bunch of money...
What the heck is with prices?
My goodness, a sticker roll. This is hilarious. A tremendous mashup of virtually everything under the Lego banner. Something for everybody here!
That's it. I'm bankrupt for sure.
I need at least a hundred of those classic space battle packs... :) Everything is indeed awesome!
The only ones I like are the ones with the amazing Blue dinos
Benny’s space squad.
That Thricycle made my day.
Some of these are a bit meh, but pretty good overall.
70841 Benny's Space Squad will sell out day one! I'm sure.
I was expecting not to like these sets but know I want all of them. If only the released in december, but then again my list consists of overwatch preorders...
70826 and 70825 - like a classic "Agents" theme (one of my favourite Lego themes).
i am so geting bennys space squad
Is that a new colour in 70828? Another old colour resurrected from the discard pile?
Also, there's a Duplo set:
https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Emmet-and-Lucy-s-Visitors-from-the-DUPLO-Planet-10895
As a huge Metalbeard fan, I love the bike.
Dang, some excellent stuff here.
As a big fan of the first movie, I'm kinda disappointed in the next movies sets.
Just the Metalbeard's Heavy Metal Motor for me so far.
Would of preferred a red spaceman instead of pink so it was a true retro set
On the Lego shop page, it says there is a limit of 5 for Benny's space squad. Can you make multiple purchases of 5, because I definitely need more than 5...
Wait a second I just realised something!2 days ago lego creator and city sets were unveiled, yesterday techinc sets and now lego movie .I think that by the end the week we will have almost every offical pictures for 2019!!!
Love:
- Unikitty’s Sweetest Friends EVER!
- Emmet’s Thricycle
- Rex’s Rex-treme Off-roader
- Pop-Up Party Bus
- Emmet’s Dream House
- Lucy’s Builder Box
- Metalbeard’s Heavy Metal Motor
- Rex’s Rexplorer
- Benny’s Space Squad
All the others are OKAY.
@aleydita: New color. It's called Vibrant Coral.
Space Squad? Pink CS fig? Why have they not invented the tech to let me shove money through my monitor yet???
Missed opportunity to re-print the old 3x6 blue wedge with huge CS logo on it, though. Kind of bummed that they just used three 2x4 wedges with the small logo on that ship in the repair shop.
I NEED the blue raptor! AND 70835! Also NEED new take-apart piece! LOVE these!
Take my money! All of it!
I have a two year old, I'm sure I can justify even the Duplo set! (so what if we already have 30 kg of Duplo...)
But seriously, I can see a lot of these appealing to my 4 year old too. :)
Really! Disappointing! That box design - more friends like!
More Unikitty,s....... enough said !
shame about the unprinted torso in 70836 but otherwise looking good.
I love these sets! The box art with the purple is absolutely beautiful and sets looks very colorful and well-designed. I especially like the ones with Rex and his amazing dinosaurs! Prices seem pretty good, although $70 for Sweet Mayhem's ship and Emmett's house seems a bit expensive, as does $120 for the Rexplorer set. I know it's got 1187 pieces, but it doesn't seem big enough to warrant a $120 pricepoint. However, other prices are great! The $10 set with Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi is awesome since it includes 2 minidolls and a minifigure. The party bus also looks great and will be a day one purchase for sure.
The spaceman one is the one I want (multiples) of.
@Wolfman40: How is the box design Friends-like? Went to double-check to see if they were using the beveled edges only to be disappointed by a pretty typical box style and layout.
Truly some wonderful imagination on display here, although purely from a standpoint of "what does my city need?," I don't see much that I'll actually pull the trigger on and buy. 70821 looks like a great full set, as does 70831. Then there are elements I'm excited about, like the ice cream cone in 70822 (which will make a great MOC Ice Cream store sign as Librarian1976 mentioned), and the retro Octan gas pump in 70823. The new blue Dino's are awesome, and I'll definately have to get Benny's Space Squad and dig out all my Classic Space guys and have a big Classic Space party on a raised moon baseplate. Overall I think these sets are amazing, yet just don't know how to incorporate a giant Pirate Motorcycle in my city. Makes me regret not buying the original TLM sets even more.
I want the blue Raptor and about 3 other sets, love the colours on some of them,
Also these sets are better than the ones from the first movie..
And doesnt that new pink dress minidoll remind you all of princess peach? (supermario)
There is so much love in these sets...
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
EDIT: TEAL BRICK SEPARATOR??? HAVE MY PAYPAL PASSWORD. IT'S YOURS.
so those blue raptors are going to end up super expensive on ebay aren't they
There's too much to say, so let's just say... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the Duplo set: aww
So many things happeneing that I can't choose, but the House is a must for me and the City. Emmett tricycle is awesome as is Rex tank.
@Lego34s: With the implied "cut out" at the bottom I kind of suspect those are supposed to be platform heels, which on a cartoon unicorn/cat hybrid is even more hilarious!
@iriz: I'm not sure what you mean about it being 4+ like. Most of the sets are very complex/intricate: the Off-Roader, Ultrakatty, the Party Bus, the Escape Buggy, the Sistar Starship, the house/rocket, the Rexplorer, etc. They're certainly not heavy on big "easy building" cockpit/chassis/frame/panel pieces or extremely basic building techniques the way Fabuland/Jack Stone/Juniors/4+ sets have pretty much always been. On the contrary, many of these feature a lot of SNOT building, Technic, hinges, and structural use of standard bricks and plates.
@SirBrickhead: I kind of like that it has a mix of new and classic colors, particularly since we have no idea whether there might be other sets featuring Classic Space astronauts planned for a summer wave. This way, people who already have all of the "Classic" classic spacemen they need still have something new to get out of it, while others who don't will be able to arrive at that sense of authenticity.
The pink space figure Lenny also helps align the set more closely with the way the theme as a whole dabbles in both feminine and masculine coded design cues. And as a somewhat silly bonus I observed, I think this now means classic space figures appear in all the classic Power Rangers colors. :P Go Go Classic Space!
@Wolfman40: Is a box with some purple and pink on it really that outrageous? Or is there some other characteristic of the boxes that would be just as offensive to the eye if it were, say, a white burst of light across a black/dark blue starfield?
Overall so much to love here: our first in-context glimpses of the new color Vibrant Coral, sets that do a great job incorporating feminine-coded design cues without feeling a need to "subvert" or "redeem" them with a misplaced sense of irony, several Classic Space throwbacks, a nice balance between more straightforward sets and ones with multiple builds, and of course lots of the same forms of craziness that were so enjoyable in the first LEGO Movie. Definitely going to have to think long and hard just to narrow down which sets WON'T be going on my wish list!
I want Kenny, Benny, Lenny and Jenny right now!! :D
I have a feeling that the Classic space "battle pack" is gonna fly off the shelves. Which stinks cuz I NEED one. Also, I love the bus and that we finally et another use for the UCS Slave 1 cockpit piece, and even in a recolor! Exciting!!!
AND a recolor of the Brick Separator!!! I have a feeling those will be sought after...
they missed an opportunity to actually use real duplos!!
Oh, geeze. I need it all. There is nothing here that i won't buy. :D
ROBOT ROBOT ROBOT!!
According to the SaH site, 70823 is a 14.99 set, NOT a 9.99 set.
Okay: the PINK space dude did it for me.
Space squad all the way.
I'm with Psychic Tempest Zero here, weakest line-up of all the movies so far. Even the prices don't seem too nice. TLM and TLNM had some really good prices. Here, not so much.
Yes, I will get the Classic Space battle pack of course ...
I really am of two minds about these sets.
The sets themselves don't look all that great (a lot of them seem to be just random things from the movie all thrown together into a box) ... but having said that, it's the little details, the bits and bobs that make up the sets that are frankly unmissable.
I really love Unikitty's sweet friends. And Benny's space squad (notice his space symbol is even more worn down, yet everyone else's looks fine?), with a pink space figure? I would literally push people out of the way to get that. Not to mention, the dark blue raptors ...
I'm buying two... possibly three of the Classic Space Battle Pack featuring Benny... I won't be the only one chances are.
True a lot of the sets seem a bit minimalistic compared to the creativity and fun of the original, but in all honesty considering the Theme is probably older kid turns to the Dark Ages and loses interest in LEGO I'm not really surprised to find this happening in the sets surrounding the original cast. Some of the new stuff creativity wise more than makes up for that and MetalBeard has multiple modes now, which is awesome.
Guess I'll somehow be saving up for these and Overwatch come January/February.
70841 is just perfect.
Dang, some sweet sets here.
Tops for me is that MetalBeard Trike! And definite pickups for Battle Ready Batman/MetalBeard, that bad@$$ RexPlorer Sub, Emmet's House (love the rocket conversion) and most definitely Benny's Space Squad.
The PopUP Party Bus has some NICE features too!
Ahhhhhh....just so much must gets...damn you Lego! ;)
I just want everything with BLUE RAPTORS!
Introducing Queen Whatevra Wa'Nabi - $20 set (that's what Lego have it listed as- $10, if correct is a steal.) Sure, I'll have one of those, thanks (well, maybe more for a General Mayhem squad)
Very tempted by the bus, not sure $80 tempted
Oh, and I'm waitin' on those Sewer Babies!
@yamaki: As prices go, most of them seem pretty reasonable to me, and the prices that seem most excessive seem to be priced that way for understandable reasons like being a 4+/Juniors set with lots of oversized parts, having big specially molded/printed dinos, or being packaged in a suitcase-style plastic carry case.
@Zordboy: I'm not sure how any of the stuff here conveys more of a "random stuff thrown in a box" feel than the stuff from the first movie, aside from maybe Emmet and Lucy's Builder Boxes which are each LEGO Classic suitcase-style sets with three assorted models and probably lots of inspiration builds for other stuff you can do with the pieces.
I suspect those two sets and the similarly LEGO Classic-ish Queen Watevra's Build Whatever Box! were designed in response to some of the criticisms of the first LEGO movie's sets for not being geared specifically towards the kind of open-ended freestyle building that the "Master Builders" in the movie were trying to encourage.
Other than that, most of the sets depict fairly coherent scenes, even if the nature of that scene might be more obvious in the context of the box art than here where the figures, vehicles, and scenery are just sort of spread out with no obvious clues to how they interact.
Classic Space - yeeeeesssssss!
I'll be getting at least two of Benny's Space Squad and one of E & B's Build & Fix Workshop.
My only regret is that they didn't include a red Classic Space astronaut.
For years, LEGO wouldn't do plain yellow legs to prevent the representation of naked minifigures. Wonder what changed their mind.
Very cool sets that appeal to all sorts of interest groups. The trailer seemed great too.
The classic space set is just amazing... The helmets seem to be slightly thicker all round than the originals (rather than just the chinstrap). They still look excellent - especially Lenny.
First, totally agree with you there @legoDad42, we NEED sewer babies. Second, if you look on shop.lego.com at the images for Emmet's Dream House/Rescue Rocket!, you can see that the set box is double sided.
In other words, one side shows the set information; Set Number, Set Name, Number of Pieces, and age range. The picture of the model shows Emmet’s Dream House with the Minifigures (excluding Rex) hanging around the house.
The other side shows the same thing, including the set information but the difference is that the picture of the model instead shows Emmet’s house modified into the Rescue Rocket with Emmet in the window and Rex flying around outside. I’d say that is my favorite Lego set box.
Edit: for anyone who wants to see it for themselves, here is the URL: https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Emmet-s-Dream-House-Rescue-Rocket-70831
Just me who's really interested in 70825 Queen Watevra's Build Whatever Box? OK.
FWIW, that set also contains a teal brick separator and is a significantly cheaper way to get it if you're not into the Dream House or minifigs. I'm curious why some sets still include orange brick separators and why only these two have been revealed with the new color.
@Aanchir: To me these suitcase sets seem more reminiscent of the LEGO Juniors suitcases — I don't remember those having inspirational builds so I would expect these to be of a similar nature, and not something like this year's LEGO Classic Creative Suitcase. It's curious that they're called Builder Boxes. The Build Whatever Box on the other hand is firmly in LEGO Classic territory, especially with the out-of-the-box art featuring the same presentation of a brick pile as other Classic sets.
My first thought when I saw that party bus was of the I, Robot vehicles that carry all the NS5s around as transport, and almost kill Will Smith in the process. Weird thought I know.
These sets are on the whole fantastic. Even Bananarama Man brick built! And juniors aren't half bad too! Guessing America will have access to these sets soon if they're all being added unless they're really getting in there early.
The bigger ones are so-so, but the smaller ones are pretty great. I also predict a collectible status in the future for "Benny's Space Squad".
I feel like that Benny set is going to become an instant favourite among the older Afol crowd.
Oh
my
glob
Classic spacemen. And a gray one to boot. I had to pinch myself five times to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.
Thank you, CapnRex101, for placing the surprise at the end. It was a nice surprise.
70828 looks neat - and $80 for 1000+ pieces isn't something I'll complain about, either! Must have 70841. I can't honestly say I'm that interested in too many others...
That new spaceman “battle pack” is one of the best sets made in recent years. LEGO should do great battle packs like that for Star Wars.
At first I thought it might be cool to have mini dolls in with minifigures, but I was wrong.
Everything is awesome... well almost everything. I love most of these sets but not all. Looking forward to 2019.
On a side note, red astronaut got replaced by pink?? Sorry red fans. LOL
TOO MANY
Rex's Raptors look epic! I'll have to watch the second trailer soon to see how these sets look in action. Would love to get my hands on Benny's Space Squad.
.....I just peed a little...
I might not be the first to mention it, but Unikatty! comes with a 5x1
Oh boy. Lots of sets so let's go through this all
Unikitty Sweetest Friends Ever! - Nice set full of cool designs, I especially love the chocolate bar and Ice Cream. But not really a set made for me.
Benny's Space Squad - Ahhyyy!! So many space figures for $10! This is more my style.
Emmett's Thricycle! - The figures you can get in others so there nothing special. I like how the build is rather quite detailed. The gas pump and parking spot look great. I do think the main thing is a little too weird for my taste.
Introducing Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi - All the figures here are great, and cheap too if you don't want to spend that much. But the builds are cute and nothing else to me.
Battle-ready Batman and MetalBeard - Battle-ready Batman is fantastic! Best figure of the wave probably. The builds in the set though are lacking IMO.
Rex's Rex-treme Offroader! - Nice figures, and that blue raptor is gorgeous. The build has a nice colour scheme and reminds me of Agents but not too interesting.
Ultracatty and Warrior Wyldstyle - I have said this before but this is a very cute set. Nothing more.
Emmet and Wyldstyle's Escape Buggy - The truck looks very Mad Max style but I wish they would have gone all the way and go full crazy. Not very interesting.
MetalBeard's Heavy Metal Motor Trike! - Ok, now I really like this one. We see these motorcycle type sets alot but this one has a unique pirate spin to it. This one just has a very personality to it that I love.
Sweet Mayhem's Systar Starship! - Another very unique looking set. I can't recall a space set that looked like this so it gets points for originality. Nice little interior too.
Emmet's Dream House/Rescue Rocket! - Wasn't expecting a set like this too pop up. Very similar to a Creator set but with its own spin. The colouring on the outside is nice. I have not seen that good of a photo of the interior so I can't give a good opinion of it. Probably one of my favorites from the wave. ?
Pop-Up Party Bus - Ok now this is a great looking set. Not only does it look fantastic on the outside but you can open it up and reveal a fantastic interior. Great feature and detail on the inside. Definitely? a standout set.
Rex's Rexplorer! - Great looking vehicle with a great colour scheme. Interior has some nice features but I wish there was more
Overall nice wave of sets. There are some duds but there's also some great sets. Emmett's? House, the Starship, Party Bus, and Rexplirer are my favorites. Oh and of course the space minifigures pack.

I don't know if you have seen this one but there are more detailed hi-res pictures of all the minifigures and features of the sets in this slideshow, including an actual Duplo set called 10895 "Emmet and Lucy's Visitors from the DUPLO Planet"
Is it just me, or are there Chris Pratt easter eggs in the sets; Rex's Blue Raptor (Jurassic World) & Emmett's Rocket house has a plant companion [shown in movie trailer](Groot) & includes a cassette player (Starlord)
I'm not seeing many new molds involved in this theme. Most of what's there are minifig parts (that's a new unbroken version of the Benny helmet, BTW, not the actual classic helmet brought back from the past), and most of those are pretty obvious. We already knew about the giant star element from the SDCC set reveals. The ice cream cone and scoop both look new. I don't recognize the five-point Whatevra crown. That weird looking animal in the Party Bus set has ears that are new (1x1x2/3 brick w/ curved top). Sweet Mayhem in the trike set has a 1x1 heart-shaped tile. That's about it that I can see.
@Zander: I wouldn't be surprised if the yellow space outfit was intentional, and if there was a joke in the movie about it looking like he's naked. That would be funny. :D
@Nick
Ha ha, yes! Maybe someone will ask him where his pants are...
Gonna build me an abomination with 70825.
I was fairly happy scrolling down the page, looking at the fine sets that we will get in 2019, untill 70841 Benny's Space Squad. Oh what a great day it turned out to be... Thank you very much Lego.
SEVEN. ZERO. EIGHT. FOUR. ONE.
I. NEED. IT. IMMEDIATELY.
I like the sets, however hate the dolls. The lego minifigure was made for girls and boys, but when they brought out the news that they sold way more to boys, they brought out Friends, a theme they branded for girls. I feel as if this mix doesn't work as the dolls look stupid AND they aren't classic figures. In a movie about Lego. Not the Lego friends movie. Sort it out!
@Purple Dave - What about the base of the creature with the magenta leaf in 70826. I didn't recognize that piece.
Haha, this is all mad :) I love it!
I think Benny's Space Squad is going to sell out quicker than the UCS Millennium Falcon :-)
I just have to reiterate what others have said:
PINK Spaceman,... Spaceman,... SPACEMAN (or rather SPACEWOMAN?)
;-)))
Love the bus. Love the space squad.
Prices seem a bit OTT for a non licensed theme
Noooooo! Why is the Rex-plorer so expensive!?
Looks like those Space helmets are much thicker all round than the originals.
I love the new colour, particularly that 'Jenny' ISN'T the pink one! And the trans-yellow windscreen and grey rocket cones in the other set. Shame the printed slope isn't 2x3 though.
Still, feel like buying another Benny's Space Squad every week in 2019!!!
Also love the Glam Rock UniKitty.
Think the Pop-up Party Bus is just hilarious! Sure my girls will love it. And Benny's Spac Squad's for my own collection of cause, great to see a Classic Space vehicle again.
@Purple Dave: There’s also the two new gear plates in the Party Bus set, what looks like maybe a new arch piece behind the party bus’s front windscreen, a 3x3 dome with stud and 2x2x2 inverted cone in the Sweetest Friends set, a 1x1 heart tile, etc.
@DaftArcher20968: The LEGO Movies have never been about classic themes only, and like it or not Friends has been one of the most popular themes around for the past six years. Plus, the movie seems like it’ll have some themes/messages specifically related to gender roles (e.g. the Sistar System representing Finn’s sister and her interests, Emmet feeling self-conscious about being naive and sensitive rather than an tough, intense, hyper-masculine action hero like his foil Rex, etc). Those messages would be a lot weaker if the movie decided to declare the types of sets and figures that girls tend to prefer in real life entirely off limits.
@cmc4free: That part has appeared in Medium Azur in Disney Princess and Elves, though this is its first time appearing in another color.
YES!! The return of the trans-yellow windscreen!!
The sets look good but some of the sets look like junior sets. Are they combining the two themes and make people look at the age range?
@Master Chief: Yes. All 4+ sets for 2019 are now being branded as a 4+ subcategory of their IP (City/Friends/Spider-Man/The LEGO Movie 2/Star Wars/whatever) instead of an IP-specific subcategory of a shared theme like Juniors. That said, only one of these sets (the workshop) is a 4+ set.
Sweet Mayhem's face tho...
benny's space squad boi
I want the Duplo LEGO movie 2 set. Did u see the cute duplo Emmett and Lucy?
Now that is a grownups tricycle!
@AgentR2
Thx man. Yeah, I saw the the packing front and back. Wonder if they're gonna' start to do that since like in store people move around the boxes all the time so they have both sides covered with the pertinent information.
I'll be surprised if I don't buy at least ten of Benny's Space Squad set... damn
UK prices can be found here: https://shop.lego.com/en-GB/the-LEGO-movie-2-sets
@Brick Dangerous: Is that the one where Finn grows up into a crotchety old AFOL who complains about everything different from what he grew up with? I get the impression that’d be a popular storyline for a lot of folks around here...
I'm 22, on the younger end of AFOLs, but ever since joining here I've really liked Classic Space. And, as a result, for sure, I'm buying a few of 70841.
70841!!!!! I need A MILLION of that set!!
In a classic space fanatic (which is kind of surprising since it was way before my time), so I must have hundreds of 70841! CLASSIC SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I might as well throw my thoughts into the mix. I, like many of you, really like this wave. I'll admit there some models that are not for me, but this wave seems to have something for everybody. As a builder, I tend to like display type sets because they look good on my shelf, but also the more creative sets can inspire me to become a better MOCer. I think they did an overall good job with these sets and my wallet is definitely going to be unhappy with me. Oh well, what can one do?
Space Squad - I must have it!
@cmc4free:
15469, and you can just see some crab claws and legs peeking out a little above it.
@Aanchir:
I was just going by the images included here. By "gear plates" I assume you mean the giant pink discs? The alternate shots on LEGO.com don't really have great resolution, but yeah, those are probably new. The purple pieces that appear to interface with them are so obscure on LEGO.com that I can't really tell what they are.
As for the rest, I believe the arch you refer to is 30099, one of only two inverted arches, and it's old enough to legally drink. I did mention the ice cream cone and scoop, and the 1x1 heart tile, though.
@PurpleDave: Yes, both the Medium Lilac and Vibrant Coral plates you're describing are entirely new molds with rounded gear teeth. Very useful as you can now have gear-driven rotating floors/walls without having to add a lot of thickness underneath the floor to hide the gears. The new Monastery of Spinjitzu set (70670) also includes some of the larger size of gear from this set in Dark Stone Grey. The arch piece I'm referring to is the one INSIDE the ship's cockpit, not the 30099s on outside. Best I can tell, it's like the existing 1x6x2 arch but with a 1x1x1 cutout in each upper corner.
Here's a larger version of 70828's back of box pic where you can see the new gear and arch pieces more clearly: http://cache.lego.com/r/dynamic/is/image/LEGO/70828_alt2?op_sharpen=0&resmode=sharp4&wid=4000&fit=constrain,1&fmt=png-alpha
@Aanchir:
I did end up finding better pics on Brickfan. Dunno why I can't get them to load up like that from LEGO.com, since presumably that's where they were acquired.
I see the arch you're referring to now, and it does appear new. There are some half-arches, but none that match the size required to make that arch.
I'm feeling awfully left out seeing even younger folks like cody6268 wanting 70841, and I'm just here completely uninterested in anything to do with Classic Space. I can relate to the nostalgia, and Benny throwing together a SPACESHIP in a matter of seconds was a highlight of the first film even for me, but I'm just not into the theme and now that I'm talking about it maybe I should just disappear right now before I get lynched...
In any case I'm glad that LEGO made that set, as I can't imagine it being anything other than a love letter to the rest of you. I'm sure it'll be a huge hit, more so than the classic police officer in CMF 18.
70828 Pop-up Party Bus - WHAAAT???
70841 Benny's Space Squad - PINK astronaut minifig!! INSTANT GET!!
all your for less that the cost of one ucs 75192. 594.85 vs. 799.99
Still waiting for the 2019 LEGO Disney sets to be revealed.
I like the Pop-Up Party Bus, Metalbeard's Heavy Metal Motor, and especially Benny's Space Squad. Some of these are too expensive, though, like the builder boxes, which should be $20.
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!
I want them all, but the $10 Unikittyand Benny, Emmets home and Rex's off-roader I would surely get right away.
Space squad for sure!!!
Benny's Space Squad is a must have!
I’m gonna get the Batman and Metalbeard set and if the classic space battle pack isn’t sold out, that too
The house is something I loved from the trailer and think it looks spectacular, it’s just a wee bit expensive
I like the with the ice cream cone and the chocolate bar, ther awesome!
And the pop up party bus is really cool too!
What about the new colour in the Pop-Up Party Bus!?!?
It looks similar to that old "salmon" from Scala
@gabrisermig: It’s called “Vibrant Coral”!
Yeah the Scala salmon color is a weird color to bring back. The color they should bring back is sand red! Or real dark grey.
I think I'll order Benny's Squad 3 times. I have all the Classic Space sets and they are just begging for some (partially hidden) pink astronauts. :-)
