City Advent Calendar: Day 15

Posted by ,

A selection of wrapped Christmas gifts emerged on day fourteen and I am hoping that focus upon Christmas will continue as we draw nearer to the 25th of December!

Let's open the door and find out...

Numerous different Christmas tree designs have appeared in LEGO City Advent Calendars, much like Snowmen. This rendition features a standard combination of layered 1x2 slopes but is distinguished by some red 2x2 round plates which represent tinsel and a golden statue figure placed on top, presumably depicting an angel.

This design looks pretty good in my opinion, especially since it includes a series of trans-blue and trans-yellow decorations. However, my favourite small Christmas tree remains that found in 4000013 A LEGO Christmas Tale so I would love to see a model more like that one in future Advent Calendars.

Overall - 4.0 - I am quite satisfied with this Christmas tree, due in particular to the distinctive pearl gold statue on top.

Yeah, I really like the little gold statue as the angel on top of the tree. That's a cool touch.

... did someone use a skull as the head of a snowman?!? That is a creepy Christmas tale.

That golden statue on the top is quite rare, and the highlight of this christmas tree

By in Finland,

I don't think it's an angel on the top. LEGO doesn't do religious stuff - but then again, they have done a couple of brick-build angels and you should always use your imagination. :)

If it’s an angel, it must be waiting for a bell to ring...

It’s quite nice as a tree. The red could gave looked ridiculous, but it works well as a garland around the tree.

We enjoyed the build today. And even more the spare golden statue which is pretty rare and might proove useful one day.

I also enjoyed the spare golden statue!

ALSO: That Christmas Tale set looks more like a Christmas Nightmare.
