Images of The LEGO Movie 2 BrickHeadz found

Benny

While myself and CapnRex101 were watching a special screening of the movie in London this morning, Hoth Bricks uncovered instructions for the widely rumoured The LEGO Movie 2 BrickHeadz on LEGO's server: 41634-41637, Emmet, WyldStyle, Benny and Sweet Mayhem.

As predicted in my review of the Birthday Clown last month they occupy the number range 88 to 91.

Those are neat. I prefer my versions but I like how they did their own, they're not too far apart. Benny's helmet is kind of odd but other than that awesome!

Last BrickHeadz

By in United States,

Odd that they call her Wyldstyle instead of Lucy

By in United States,

Funny enough, isn't there a Brickheadz Rabbit who lives in the Systar System?

By in United States,

So the rumors aren’t true. There will be new Brick headz for 2019!

By in Canada,

Seeing this list of set for 2019 I thought BrickHeadz was done. I wonder which will sell the best?

By in Poland,

No accessories.... disappointing.

@Captain Brick kid:
I know, I was thinking, apart from the new seasonal ones, the theme is basically over... Thankfully, Brickheadz lives on!
I really do hope they keep on making more though...I know they don’t appeal to everyone, but I sure like them.

By in United States,

Interesting that Emmet and Lucy look more like their original Lego Movie appearances (Emmet's torso printing isn't scratched up; Lucy isn't wearing her apocalypse boots/scarf/goggles).

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yay

By in Canada,

I know it isn't the brickheadz style, but Benny without a huge open grin just isn't Benny.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Benny better be for having air tanks. That’s all I’m saying.

@Huw and @CaptnRex101 how was the movie? No spoilers, but just overall was it good?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is it just me, or do Brickheadz with yellow skin look weird?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Fun stuff I thought Brickheadz was done and gone!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Emmet having ears is a bit strange, he doesn't have ears(At least not visible ones) in the movie, nor has any LEGO figure. I understand the Brickheadz based on real people, but one based on a plastic toy doesn't need ears.

By in United States,

These and the seasonal Brickheadz are probably it. Maybe some exclusives down the line because ending at 100 would be nice. I doubt these will be sold in store, probably just at S@H.

By in United States,

Yes! Benny looks great!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Your future president, I’ve seen the movie as well and you have nothing to worry about - it was great!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

These have also leaked on instagram guys along with proper blurry images of TLM2 summer sets..

My faves are Wyld style and Emmet,
Now fetch me a sewer baby and Lord Buisness lol..

By in United States,

Too bad they didn't rerelease Brickheadz Batman! Glad I got one when he came out.

@ TheBrickPal

Thanks! I think that the movie will be grand. But I’ve had trouble trying to convince my friends that it will be good. I loved the trailer. They say (based on the trailer) that it isn’t funny and is retarded. How might I go about persuading them to go see it with me, given your foreknowledge of it.

By in United States,

Wow! The instructions show that while the 1x4 brick with the classic space logo for the front of Benny's torso has the expected level of wear and tear, there's a hidden 1x4 brick with a pristine classic space logo hidden in his torso!

(hat tip to @ProfBrickkeeper on Twitter)

By in Hungary,

I'm glad to be proven right that there's an unscratched CS logo printed 1x4 in Benny.
It also tickles me to visualize all the brickheadz-bemoaners begrudgingly buy him for that part.

By in United States,

@Your future president, tell them that if they loved the first movie, they should have a pretty good idea of how this one is. Also, it’s better than both Batman and NINJAGO, if that helps any. My review will be out soon with hopefully more reasons to help convince naysayers! :-)

By in United States,

@Your future president:
I haven’t seen TLM2 yet although hopefully I will soon.
I believe @TheBrickPal is completely right about the movie as I’ve now heard quite a lot of fans also say it was excellent, and better than the Batman and NINJAGO movies...
On a different note, but staying on the same topic of TLM2, has anyone seen the Star-Stuck Emmet polybag or TLM2 Collectable Minifigures in their local Walmart or other stores?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The neat thing is that they include a non-faded space logo printed brick on Benny, but with the standard build the printed side is facing the inside of the set so you don't see it. That was an interesting discovery while looking over the build instructions.

Gravatar
By in United States,

^^ I believe the Star Stuck Emmet polybag is supposed to be exclusive to preorders of the video game at GameStop, so unfortunately it’s not likely to appear randomly at any stores in the United States.

By in United States,

Wildstyle's right leg is a bit too bland. Other then that, these seem fine for what they are.

@Captain Brick kid:
As far as I know, I was the one who got that rumor started when I posted a comment on The Brick Fan that ended up getting an article. What happened was at Brickworld Michigan, the LEGOLAND Discovery Center had a booth where they were selling all of the Brickheadz product at clearance prices, including the sets that wouldn't be released for another week (Luke/Yoda, Rocket/Groot, Mickey, Minnie, and so on). When I asked why they were on clearance when they hadn't even been released yet, the cashier told me the line was done at the end of the year. Someone else commented on the article about this that they had confirmation from the creator/lead designer that the line would be continuing, which appears to be the case. However, these four are the only licensed sets we've seen evidence of for 2019, and everything else has been Seasonal in nature. Besides that, I've seen almost none of the final 2018 wave in stores. I felt kinda silly making a mad rush to snag anything I really wanted before Christmas, but now I think I made the right choice.

The Seasonal sets are always LBR exclusives, so those wouldn't hit regular retail anyways, but I'm curious to see where these four end up.

@Your future president:
It had its moments (many of which ended up in the trailers), but overall it feels very preachy, moreso than even TLBM. And to those who have seen it, reframe the plot in terms of a bank robbery and see if you think it still works.

@Koolbrix2018:
As noted by TheBrickPal, early reports were that Star Struck Emmet would be a bundled exclusive with the TLM2 video game. However, I believe it has been confirmed for EB Games, with Gamestop expected to share the promo but not confirmed either way.

As for the TLM2 minifigs, I've only had luck at Target. Obviously, S@H and LEGO Stores would have held them until yesterday, but I've found them at two local Targets. One had a box out in the endcap that has all the TLM2 sets (I went through everything that remained, and think I found every minifig _but_ Dorothy), and the other had them mixed in with HP minifigs and about five S18's in the checkout lanes. Had no problem finding Dorothy there. I have not seen them anywhere else so far.

By in Sweden,

Amazing brickheadz!
I don't get why people hate this serie so much... I mean it's what lego was in the start, building without all these ball joints and clips. You build something that shapes up as a great display model. For only 10$. Also many times great parts pack.

First time a mini doll gets brickheadz - "ified"?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well look at that. Finally a Brickhead I may actually be forced to get. Classic Space fan, here.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'll pick up Benny when it goes on discount...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Are those blue 2 stud radius quarter circle plates on the top of Benny's head?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Do you mean tiles? Because what it looks like is a 4x4 round that's tile on the outside and plate in the middle. I only see one seam in the front and a groove all the way around, but this could be accomplished by putting 4 2x2 macaroni tiles around a 2x2 round plate. I have no idea where to find these rumored online instructions, though, so I have no way to verify.

Gravatar
By in Slovenia,

Benny looks odd.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look good.

By in United States,

@Brickmasterboy:
I know! IMHO they great, cheap, collectable display models, based off cool iconic characters (also, not to mention that with the exception of some, mostly sticker-free)
I honestly think a lot of people don’t look them because they think they’re too blocky looking... To be honest, it’s actually amazing they’ve been around this long, with all the hate that’s directed at them.

@Koolbrix2018
Nice to see that someone agrees :)
Well I didn't think they're interesting at first glance, and therefore didn't buy any. But when the Batman was 50% of at my local TRU I decided to give it a try. When I was building it... it just felt kinda classic, I don't know how to describe, but it was just that it was so simple but shaped fast up as a unique figure to display.
I also got a crazy idea when I built it. What if you rebuild the brickheadz so it can be some kind of a mech for the main character? I was thinking about that.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Koolbrix: that's because the haters are the ones who shout about them as loudly and tediously as possible. The rest of us just get on with buying them.

I'm not sure Brickheadz of original Lego characters work for me... but that said, I'd love a Johnny Thunder!

@crazylegoman:
Hey, I realized I was staring right at links to the instructions, and it looks like I was right. The top of Benny's head is a 2x2 round plate ringed by 2x2 macaroni tiles.

More notably, those who were claiming that the Benny logo brick has a clean Classic Space logo on the reverse are, happily, wrong. It turns out they're two different bricks. The clean logo is built into his back facing inwards, while the scratched logo is in the chest facing outwards. This means you can actually build Benny _and_ swap out the clean logo for a plain 1x4 blue brick.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Purple Dave
That explains why it's a 4X4 round area with visible studs in the middle. I'm still gonna dream about 2 radius 1/4 circle plates though. ;)

By in Australia,

Well I hope I can get them. For some reason in Australia Brickheadz are very hard to get, and if you miss out on the run, you have to pay a premium price. (Depends on the subject of course).
