Posted by ,

Following their visit to the Nuremberg Toy Fair, Andres and Matthias from Zusammengebaut have published information about the summer 2020 selection. Photography was not permitted, unfortunately, but some useful descriptions and set names are available.

Being a comic book fan, I hate that the Superhero wave, which I am most excited to get news on, has the fewest details and is under embargo. I get that Toyfair is more about showing things off to retailers to get them excited to stock sets than to display stuff to the public but I don't understand how keeping these things a secret benefits Lego. If they are talking to retailers about it, then just announce it to the world! Unless there is a set called "Black Widow Resurrected" or something that will spoil that movie, then just tell us!

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

Mini Submarine sounds interesting, though I will hold judgement until I see an image of the set. Hopefully the design will be similar to those cute mini subs from Deep Sea Explorers. I've always wanted one without having to buy the entire set.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Lego is being really resistant with star wars this year. Crazy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

[insert timely political joke about why the white house build is 18+] but, seriously, why would they list it as 18+? Surely, it cannot be that difficult to build.

Most intrigued by the Creator pirate ship and the Friends' waffle house. The Friends crew seems to be doing a lot of rescuing this summer!

Also, what does a "Legacy" version mean?

18+ Iron Man? Fascinating.

Trust me, SW is under the same scrutinity but I heard they had two new busts (Boba and Stormtrooper) and a lot of embagoed sets as well (yayy).
Edit: the only things that interest me so far are:
-White House;
-Passanger Plane to be remodeled into a space ship and I need as much parts for an airport MOC as possible). The humongous boat is also an interest of mine but so far out of curiosity.

By in Ireland,

they must be including the Kennedy Sex Tunnels in the White House set.

"21054 The White House - 99.99€ - This model measures approximately 50cm wide and its packaging features a recommended age of 18+ which is new."

Perhaps a minifigure of the president is included...

Legacy version means that it is going to be a new, updated version of an older set. Ninjago has released a few Legacy sets (particularly in 2019 when they released sets originally featured in Season 1 of the Ninjago tv show).

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

[Serious Adult Lego] is very funny. Glad the legacy sets keep on coming, saves me the trouble of backtracking older releases.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The new lego branding is Adult Build and these are all 18+. New zebra line is this too

What happens in the Lincoln bedroom... *stays* in the Lincoln bedroom.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wonder if 18+ will be a designation for the larger scale "Expert" sets, like 10253 Big Ben? That set has a much larger number of tiny pieces compared to something like 10258 London Bus and I can see why LEGO might want to differentiate the two in the age range.

Or it will just be the new 16+. Either way I'm sure there's nothing complicated about the builds someone younger couldn't handle.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looking forward to all the new sets!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I hope there is a good SW wave... The last few were just not that great.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Interesting! Does this mean no new Harry Potter sets? And no Harry Potter advent calendar?

Legacy means remade

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Ninjago sounds like heroica but with minifigs.
Hyyyypeeee

Gravatar
By in United States,

Revel model kits have a lower age rating than that and those things are IMPOSSIBLE TO BUILD

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

When will we get the new Harry Potter sets revealed?

Gravatar
By in Austria,

Seriously?
ANOTHER American-based remade and enlarged Architecture set?
I love the Architecture line, but I'm honestly getting fed up with all the US-centric sets as if the World wasn't filled with vastly more interesting monuments and buildings.

Gravatar
By in United States,

A Legacy version of the Destiny's Bounty could be neat, especially if it hews closer to the version from the TV series than previous versions. The original set was easily the least impressive one we've gotten, with scarcely any depth or interior detail. If this version can recreate that classic look with a scale and level of detail more akin to the version from the Ninjago movie it'll be a must-buy.

Gravatar

Where is the DC Set line? At least confirm they’re coming!

This isn't the first White House but go off

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Upside:
City Marine wave
Creator Pirate ship
Friends again (never had any prior 2019)
Ninjago board game
CMFs

Downside:
White House - the colour, source material...and being a re-release
City 4+ everything

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

From what I’ve read is that the Technic helicopter is without Control+ and that the price of the Lamborghini isn’t €249,99 but €379,99...

Still, can’t wait for some images! :-)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hard to say with out pics but both city and friends seem OK this year, fast and furious COULD be great (dom's charger). More importantly though.... No new hidenside???? First wave this year seems light if there still trying to but up the public surport for it and the app....

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I wonder if the 18+ thing is just a drive to a) justify adults buying lego in the first place or b) making 14-15 or 16-17yr olds now buy it to prove they can also make it. "We'll show them" Surely the Millennium Falcon and ISD should have been more 18+ because of the size and weight.....and price.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

That looks like a very nice selection across pretty much all ranges. It would be nice to have the same animal selection(in the proper colours) for minifigs as they are currently doing for minidolls (friends). My thing is mostly Technic and Creator expert and lately I decided to buy only the Licenced Technic sets to limit my purchases a little bit. This is not working well for me at all: Bugatti, Land Rover, Liebherr, Porsche (previous years), Volvo, Ducatti, Bell and Lamborghini (this year). This will cost me a fortune... (and I want the cement truck - if it's big - because we never had one and the cylinder must allow cement/parts to move up)

Very curious as to what is an "horizontal motor"???

I guess the new 18+ is more to prevent parents from buying something that their kids won't enjoy at all - no play features whatsoever.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Without having seen the 18+ sets myself, I would speculate that this age recommendation relates more to marketing than construction difficulty. I can envisage adults who have not purchased LEGO for themselves before feeling more comfortable about doing so when the product displays an age recommendation of 18+ rather than 16+, simply because the age of eighteen is already associated with adulthood in many countries.

Gravatar
By in United States,

With an 18+ White House, they must be going for accuracy with the interior. (Are tweets printed on the walls?) ...or maybe there's a sound chip that plays some of the current President's infamous quotes?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

If they keep that's stupid £3.49 for the Collectable Minifigures I will be fuming, so LEGO get the message return the minifigures back to their £2.99 price. The DC cmfs I'm hoping where 50p more cause of licensing

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

No hint of any Star Wars sets other than the Advent Calendar?! Really?!
C'mon, please give us a little bit more info than just the Advent Calendar... That's a given.

Like Architecture also. However, it's hard to get motivated for this upcoming set 21054, when I know the real deal has a lot of trash in it right now. It would be an eyesore for display this year. I'll consider it next year, let's see. This year I will pass on it, BIGLY ;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

The super hero sets are always my top theme, but at this point I'm starting to be ok with not collecting every set that comes out when they are the same heroes and villains minifigs with different builds. its boring. There are hundreds of villains and heroes they add. Especially for this die hard super hero fans.

im stoked for the DC minifigs they've done, but I am over the variants lol. just keep putting out new villains and heroes.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looking forward to the CMF lineup and the City sets might have potential!

I know you don’t have pictures yet, but are the passenger airplanes for the Airport and Passenger Aeroplane sets anything like the airplanes in the City sets 3181, 7893, or 60104?

And any idea what the aircraft from the Air Show set are like?

Gravatar
By in Poland,

the new 18+ limit is most probably connected to recent changes in youtube policy on advertising to minors

Gravatar
By in United States,

That description about the plane roof worries me a bit.

Gravatar
By in Italy,

This is the second year that has a city summer wave that really excites me, plus a technic cement mixer? H*** yeah!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Can't say anything excites me here. Mostly only buy Architecture and some of the larger Creator/UCS sets. Recently sold my old White House as I just never found the build particularly enjoyable and I can't see a bigger version being any better. Will have to wait and see (there may be surprises), but mostly just waiting for this year's UCS Star Wars.

“The super hero sets are always my top theme, but at this point I'm starting to be ok with not collecting every set that comes out when they are the same heroes and villains minifigs with different builds. its boring...”

This statement is so true about many themes. I’ve been thinking a lot about updates and repetition. It’s not a terrible thing certainly, in fact some of the reason I find myself bitching is my own lack of self control. I might want “X” minifigure from “Y” set which is a newer version of “Z” released two years ago that I already bought and built.

If I simply did not buy “Y’, and instead looked to the secondary market to get it, and a lot of other people did the same, perhaps sales would dip and LEGO might NOT re-do so many things.

But I tend to think I’m the minority, and these mainstream type sets, like a Spider-Man vs. Venom, would be marquee for general audiences of all ages, many casual LEGO buyers, hence it feeds the action of releasing them.

But I do treasure sets like Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, Rescue from Ra’s Al Ghul, Spider-Man Ghost Rider Team-Up, etc. in the Superheroes theme, where we see villains and pals pop up that you just don’t see as regularly.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I love the large detailed Architecture sets, so I'll definitely be getting the White House set.

Gravatar

Gutted at the lack of train updates...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wonder what other animals are included with the Friends jungle rescue sets? Is the elephant a new mold or the same seen in the old Orient Expedition sets?

Gravatar
By in United States,

60261 had promise--but ended up being a 4+ set. I wish LEGO would retire that line; or at least make it split off from what it used to be. The passenger aircraft seems promising, as does the entire City Marine Research Subtheme.

Technic is looking especially delicious. Osprey sounds just right for Technic. Can't wait to get my hands on the Volvo Articulated Hauler. If only LEGO would use the Volvo Trucks license to give us a VNR to go alongside the Mack Anthem.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Lego is being unusually tight on the licenses this year. Anyway I think the City wave sounds good compared to other waves previously and the White House sounds cool.

Obviously new because friends use different shape style than classic themes

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m looking forward to the Friends rescue sets, looks like they may be evocative of the Jungle Rescue sub theme they had a few years back. I think the four minidolls in the advent calendar may be a record for Friends - but you have to wonder why they didn’t include all five Friends since they’re so close!

I’ll be interested in the Creator Camper Van to see how it compares with the excellent RV that Creator had a few years ago.

Ninjago board game or RPG? Could be interesting especially if it's really the latter.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Really wanna see that pirate ship.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m sure that someone has already mentioned this, but they actually already made a ninjago legacy set out of 9442: Jay’s Storm Fighter last year. It’s 70668 Jay’s Storm Fighter.

Is that a different set remade? There’s so many years of sets to choose from that it seems unlikely that they would use the same one so close together...

EDIT: ahh, nevermind. According to promobricks, it’s a 4+ set...

Gravatar
By in France,

Technic looks interesting.

Not sure about all these busts being announced - hope they are better than the awful Porg and not much better Yoda....

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

21054 The White House and 31107 Space Rover would be very nice to have, especially the latter one is going to be a definite purchase. 42113 Bell Osprey Tiltrotor Helicopter sounds very promising as well.

I have to say, I find the lack of information on Star Wars summer sets disturbing. I hope there will be new Clone Wars season 7 sets among them.

Legacy means that it is an updated version of an older set, but with a similar concept.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still no new Harry Potter? I really hope they will do another HP Advent Calendar this year. Hopefully the 4 Friends in the Friends calendar this year will be the ones they left out last year. And they did already mention there will be a summer wave of those new Friends cubes.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm glad they are doing deep sea sets again, because I wasn't able to get any the last time they did it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

My thoughts collected below for you to read (or not read) at your convenience. You're welcome.

Horrible, horrible year to release a White House, given that it was preceded by multiple US monuments and the fact that its current resident is an utter buffoon.

The Friends and City lines look like rather standard fare, while I very much like where Ninjago is headed.

Marvel brings us yet ANOTHER Spider-Man vs Venom set. Really creative, LEGO. Luckily, Iron Man Bust is here to make everything better for everyone 18+.

The information on the upcoming Star Wars line and Collectible Minifigure Series is profoundly unhelpful.

Creator sounds interesting. VERY interesting...

I've never bought a Technic set (or Friends, for that matter), but I like that they are trying new ideas. Really spices things up when you're flipping through a catalog.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Can anyone confirm yet if the White House will be just the Executive Residence or if it will also include the East and/or West Wings?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I love the architecture range and think the big builds are brilliant. Slightly disappointed in the White House being this years choice though. There are so many other amazing buildings that could have been chosen that haven’t been made before, rather than redo the White House. Shame.
Also, hoping that there’s some other architecture sets coming at some point?!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Three ships (Destiny, pirate, marine research)... Happy. Very happy.
And submarines if we need to sink them.
Market tester for an imperial flagship remake next year maybe?

Agree the +18 is to stop people telling AFOL we should be fine building a [age]+ set.

Gravatar

Not much to go on without pictures... Space Rover could be interesting.

The embargo would be imposed by the movie studios who are releasing films this year. Same with the Star Wars sets for new films being kept under wraps until the marketing schedule allows it.

It is all part of a very carefully orchestrated hype train that rolls up to the release of the film. They don't want to get people excited too early, otherwise interest would wane before the film comes out!

By in Singapore,

Finally a new elephant... in the friends style.

WhERe’s dC!
I still want an updated Batman: The Animated Series styled Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Mr Freeze and Phantasm. And give me a Mad Hatter, an Arkham styled Bane, Joker, Batman, Ra’s Ah Ghul etc. There is still so much that can be done with D.C. it is sickening seeing LEGO lean so far into the (imao, terrible) MCU. Sure the DCEU is disgustingly horrible but have they not seen the Dark Knight trilogy or the DCAU or the Arkham Games and the cult following they posses?

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Damn, this looks like a very expensive Technic year! A Ducati, Lamborghini, Volvo tipper and a helicopter.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

Harry Potter has been the one consistently good licensed theme from the last 2 years, what's up with the lack of news on that front?

Nowadays I only care about Star Wars sets if they include interesting minifig parts that I can pick up on the secondary market. Sad times.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Who would have thought that so many people that are likely over the age of 18 already would have so many comments about sets having an 18+ label.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The White House comes with a blue dress. And it's on fire, just in case, you know, _anyone_ wins the 2020 election. Even Mickey Mouse isn't looking so appealing, given what he did to Star Wars...

@TheRightP_art:
Joker and Harley have already been done. Joker was in 2006, and Harley in 2008 (but watch out because the first batch of torsos was misprinted and only looks like she has one breast). Batman is easy enough with part swaps (just take one with a Silver Age oval logo and swap black parts for the blue or dark-blue ones).

Gravatar
By in United States,

Quick question for anyone who was at toy fair about the marine exploration sets. Do the diver figures use a new mask/regulator/tank element?

The old headgear, while classic, is not particularity accurate. (I mean, the regulator is floating in front of the neck, haha) I would love to see a new diving helmet piece with proper gear positions and such, while still retaining the cartoony LEGO proportions.. Something akin to the sky police helmets would be nice.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The new aeroplane sounds nice, and the idea of a red car fitting in also sounds nice.

Hopefully the aircraft will be big, as I just got the 7893 Passenger Plane and that thing is a behemoth!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Reading the descriptions for the Summer Ninjago sets and how they combine, I'm down for a Ninjago tabletop RPG.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Politics aside, I think there are thousands of historical buildings that should have been chosen other than the White House, especially as the first set in a new larger-scale subtheme of the line. I've always been for a LEGO Roman Colisseum to be done in Architecture.

City sounds pretty good, except I wish we'd get a roughly $200 airport set (since LEGO, as of late, has been doing some really big sets) instead of a silly looking 4+ one. The marine exploration theme sounds great!

CMFs--we'll see when the photos show up.

Creator--all sets sound pretty neat, but I'm most curious about the Space Rover--I wonder what they will use as a basis? Lunar Rover? NASA Chariot? Mars Rovers?

Friends. Water Park sounds like a neat set. With a 70EUR price, the passenger plane should be pretty substatantial. Hopefully it's not too pink.

Ninjago. The game sounds interesting, but all the reissues, and of course, I can't stand the 4+ theme at all.

Technic. I think, for the theme, the Fast and Furious-licensed set is a dumb move by marketing. Despite, in my opinion, the Osprey being against the standards set by Ole Kirk (while in civilian colors, the Osprey at present is a military aircraft, not having any civil variant), it sounds like it will be a great set to build and display. Hopefully, lots of functions. The cement mixer seems to be a first in Technic. The Volvo dump truck, once built, should be a fun set to mess around with, being RC.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m not exactly a fan of TLG releasing a larger, updated White House, but, 18+ labeling aside, I’m very curious as to how it’s gonna look.

I am completely in agreement with the consensus that (literally any) landmark from outside the US is long overdue for a larger-scale model.

Gravatar
By in Greece,

Pirate ship! And with a promising price!
Also something-like castle ninjago style! Summer sets have never been better ;-)

I couldn't help but correct you there :)

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Still no news on Harry Potter and Overwatch :(

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

My wallet shudders in abject horror.... my wishlist is already extremely long.... potential candidates:

- White House.
- City Marine research series.
- Maybe Creator Pirate ship
- Most of Ninjago
- Volvo articulated tipper
- Cement truck
- Lamborghini

I'll be gravely disappointed if the 18+ Iron Man bust does not come with saucy memories or fantasies of Christine Everhart, Maya Hansen and Pepper Potts in the head. Played by yellow monofigs preferably, but I'll settle on flesh coloured as well :)

I was really happy about the Techinic Cement Mixer, until I learned it uses two huge specialized parts to make up the mixer.. what a disappointment. I'm interested in Lego not Playmobil.

A $100 Pirate Ship but without real sails? So not a true Pirates theme ship then. I hope they don't mistake a lower interest in it for a low interest in Pirates theme in general.

Meanwhile I hope we see The Pirate Bay come out this year.

By in United States,

I am so excited for the larger White House. Hopefully there will be lots of detail in this larger set. It is going to go great with the U.S. Capitol Building.
I am also really happy with the Osprey because of the military connection. I would love to have it in gray but I am just happy getting the model to build.
Looks like some great sets this year!

Creator Pirate Ship sounds like the sails are going to be similar to the Sea Cow (70810) - which I always thought looked great!

The Creator Space Rover is intriguing to me, as is the City Research Vessel. I wonder about the description . . . . "enormous" . . . how much bigger than the recent boats (like 60095) can it be?

Also, I'm praying that the Star Wars summer wave will include a nice sized Razor Crest with Mando and Baby Yoda . . . if not they are truly missing out . . . they will sell a ton of those.

By in United States,

Well, I do have an orange Microfigure for that White House, but will have to come up w/a micro Dunce Cap to top it off. As for the rest, bring on new boats and airplanes for City, more animals to pack in that zoo (even if they are Friendsified), and a new RV and a pirate ship - maybe to dock beside Pirate Cove Ideas set! Oh, and I'm definitely down for any version of a Waffle House that I can get, my poor Minifigures have no idea what they've been missing.

For those wondering if LEGO will go back to the $3.99 price for the MF collectibles, I think they will not be... When I talked with the employees at my LEGO store, they said rarely anyone complained about the price increase and still had around the same amount sold when it was $3.99. So from that, I'm guessing other LEGO stores would have experienced the same thing, which I assume that LEGO has the OK in their price increase.

Another White House... Has Lego not noticed anything outside the Eastern Seaboard worthy of a flagship Architecture model in the last few years?
I wouldn't mind a few big curveballs. Some Islamic architecture would be nice for a change, large-scale Oriental architecture is rare, some of Europe's ancient or medieval monuments might look good, and we've completely blanked most of Africa, the Middle East & South Asia.

TLG are really going after the adult market this year with the Man Utd stadium, ISS and now sets rated 18+.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm interested in seeing the white house. If you compare it to the width of the Capitol, which was 56, it might include the wings.

I was excited by the pirate ship until I read about the brick sails. I own Destiny's Bounty, Queen Anne Revenge, Silent Mary and The Black Pearl, and the fabric sails look really good. Not sure brick ones will.

I might be tempted by the city planes, but wait on images. I had hoped for another Ninjago modular, but that seems to be a pipe dream.

Aside from the future Pirate Bay Ideas set, its going to be a very cheap year for me.

By in Norway,

This 18+ thing strikes me as rather odd. I already feel the 16+ rating only exists to make adults feel less bad about buying lego, and think most 12 year olds would be able to build many of the Expert sets - not to mention that Lego's most complex product (the Mindstorms set) is rated 10+. To me an 18+ rating not only implies a product that's too difficult for younger users but something that's highly inappropriate for children, involving brutal violence, the occasional naked boob, drinking, gambling, questionable ideologies etc. Basically the kind of stuff that's hidden by a black curtain behind the counter, not something made by a toy company and sold in toy stores.

It's nice that they feature larger buildings in the Architecture line (I've never cared about ultra-minimalistic stuff like the Skylines) but as others say it's way too much focus on US/DC buildings (especially for a company who says they won't touch politics with a ten-foot pole), and of course we already had a decent White House a few years ago.

While I'm not that into Technic (love gears, motors and working mechanisms, but highly dislike the modern studless parts), I'm curious about the brake disk element - is it part of a functional brake system or purely decorative? Surprised Fast & Furious is still a thing (haven't seen any of the movies since Tokyo Drift), without minifigs I expect it to be a similar fiasco as the Top Gear set - at least it fits Lego's usual "five years too late" licensing schedule. The cement drum parts sounds like they'll be way too large, I'd imagine four parts would've been better than two.

The Osprey has potential for interesting functions but I won't hold my breath, considering how the modest price also has to cover that awful app control system. It also strike me as odd given Lego's "no modern military" policy, does this mean they're willing to forsake that principle if those sweet, sweet military industry dollars flows their way?

Creator Pirate Ship!!!
Since we haven't gotten any original themes like Space, Pirates, etc. recently, I've really been hoping Lego would include some sets in Creator to fill that niche. Glad to see it's happening in some degree!

I just hope it looks decent...

I love the Osprey Helicopter, Now how about a B 17 or a British Mark 1 Tank.

By in United States,

Considering the US currently has one of its best Presidents in office, I think a new White House is great! Although, I would be interested in another huge skyscraper like the Empire State, to be honest.

I really hope Lego brings back Clone Wars era sets for Star Wars. We've been in the IV - IX age far too long.

Not another white house. There are so many buildings that could be made instead.

I hope comes with an orange microfig.

@1947andallthat:
The rest of your post aside, I wouldn't expect much Islamic architecture in Architecture. Yes, they did the Creator Taj Mahal (a mausoleum), but how many other iconic buildings from that region _aren't_ religious in nature?

As for the rest, the problem is you need something that's going to be iconic to a worldwide market. Even in the US, they're running out of buildings that I'm familiar with for reasons other than that I live near them (and I don't see the St. Louis Arch being on the horizon anytime soon). While that may not be the case for real architecture buffs, they're not going to have enough buying power to make a new set successful. The US has an edge over much of the rest of the world just on the size of the "local" market, but endless repetition isn't going to satisfy the AFOL market, and probably won't be much fun for the designers either. But I only know about some of these landmarks _because_ they were included in the Architecture theme, so there really is a lot of potential out there. I think the biggest roadblock is probably in the knowledge department. How are they even picking their subjects? How many people on the team are intimately familiar with a wide range of architecture styles from all over the world, vs the fairly selective range they've released to date?

Is the Iron Man bust 18+ because it includes Christine Everhart as an exclusive minifigure?

By in Singapore,

I can't wait to see these sets! I'm an aviation enthusiast, so I'm really excited about the LEGO technic Bell Boeing Osprey set and the city airport. I hope they come up with a more realistic piece for the nose of the city plane! I also look forward to the new minifigures series and the technic cars and cement mixer!

White house as a 18+ set? Does it contains Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky as well? ;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

While I'll avoid the temptation to get political as many of the above commenters have re: the White House have, their comments do illustrate why this is probably a better time than most for Lego to release a new White House model. America's politics may be intensely polarized, but in a presidential election year like this one that might matter less since supporters of either major party can visualize "their" candidate occupying the executive mansion.

A Ninjago board game? Now that sound fun! We had one back with the games line but having multiple sets that combine Heroica style while (presumably) being minifig scale reminds me of Orient Expedition. Might have to get a bunch of them for a family game night.

"These sets combine to create a board game experience."

And just like that, I'm more excited for a Lego theme than I've been since the end of Bionicle.

Maybe this has already been asked and I missed it. But is there going to be a follow-up to the roller coaster from 2 years ago? It seems like the Amusement rides come out every other year.

By in Australia,

There seemed to be a mixup in the reporting. 76163, Venom Crawler is the one going to be released in February/March. 76151, Spider-Man vs. Venom is going to be released at a later date, and contains Spider-Ham and Iron Spider minifigs.
