By in Netherlands,

I wonder if that is ‘real’ gold like the recent Monkie Kid mech or ‘pearl’ gold which I personally don’t like that much

Gravatar
By in United States,

It looks drum-lacquered like Monkie Kid.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The bust is a must!

By in United States,

Honestly, this wave is so much better than January's Marvel sets. The Wrath of Loki is expensive, but a (relatively) inexpensive way to get the main characters; the helicarrier is a decent playset with a strong minifig lineup; the Hulkbuster's head looks a bit weird, but the build otherwise is epic, with that awesome classic Rescue minifig; the Avengers tower is a huge step up from the 2015 one, with much more height, two exclusive Iron Man suits, and an amazing price tag; the Iron Man bust is a nice display piece, with chrome lacquered elements and such (although the lower part of the helmet looks a bit too thick, I'll probably mod it); and the $15 minifig pack is a nice way to get Black Widow and Falcon. My only complaints about these sets is the inclusion of Iron Man and Black Widow; Tony has appeared in 5 sets, which takes away from the appeal of certain sets, and Nat, in 3 sets, which personally I feel should've stayed exclusive to the helicarrier. Other than that, I personally love these, and it's the most excited I've been for Marvel sets in a long time.

By in United Kingdom,

Another Hulkbuster and another Avengers tower, nothing here to really grab my attention (or wallet), an easy pass.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look like some of the best Marvel sets in recent memory! With the possible exception of the Hulkbuster's head... that's a bold and interesting choice, though I like the more hemispherical options that have been used in the past.

I wonder if the bust of Iron Man (is it still a bust if it's a helmet, not an actual head?) will be branded 18+... it's interesting to see them creating more collector- and display-type products, from Brickheads to art to Star Wars and Marvel busts. I would love if LEGO's foray into display pieces resulted in full-on sculptures like Yellow, other "classic" LEGO sculptures, and some of the recent and hitherto-now rejected IDEAS submissions!

Edit: the new Captain Marvel helmet/mohawk piece looks awesome too!

By in United Kingdom,

What's going on with hulkbuster's head? It's flat as a pancake.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hulkbuster's head looks like it took a giant smash with Hulk's fist. Why did they change it from the dome piece? The new Iron Man helmets also look a bit akward.

This Hulkbuster is based off of the classic version, which has a more sunken-in head. It's not the best look, but I can't think of any other piece they could use to accurately represent it

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was getting worried. It’s been at least two weeks since we last got a new Hulkbuster set. I was beginning to think Lego was going to stop making them. Phew!

Wonder when the next Star Wars Landspeeder is coming out...?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Did somebody sit on that Hulkbuster?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm sick of A.I.M.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

It would be nice to see a hulk buster with a big hulk....
The Ironman head feels a little off.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Another Hulkbuster? And this one is by far the worst . . . what is up with that flat head?!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Am I crazy saying something seems off with the bust? My initial
Thoughts are disappointment

Gravatar
By in Finland,

This year's previous Marvel sets haven't really impressed me but these are pretty great, even if the Hulkbuster's head is flat as a pancake

Gravatar
By in United States,

Me: "I don't need another Hulkbuster."

Lego: "This one has a comics style Rescue in it."

My wallet: "Oh no."

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Iron Man looks like he has the Mumps.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That helmet looks absolutely dreadful. I don't understand how they got it so wrong, as the Star Wars helmets are really well done. I quite like the hulk buster as it is the most unique, but the tower seems a bit shallow.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

That bust is a head. No shoulders.

Gravatar
By in Japan,

The mix of bright and dark red in the Hulkbuster looks off to me. Anyone else?

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

Ohhh Marvel sets... What a surprise! In some many ways!

Overpriced, repetitive, another wave that will be easily forgotten in the next few days.

Special note:

Still love you Lego!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is that an infinity gauntlet I spy inside the tower?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

STOP IT Lego...... stop releasing sets when we haven't bought all the ones from January yet, or March, or another other week with a Sunday in....... Give us a chance. Want all 3, the Gold on the Bust im sure will be useful to many.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The non-MCU Marvel sets are all starting to feel a bit "same old, same old" to me...and another Hulkbuster?? Sheesh.

The Iron Man helmet is appealing though. Love the gold lacquered pieces!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Isn't this the 3rd Hulk Buster to date?

Gravatar
By in Latvia,

Who squashed the Hulkbuster? Also the Avengers Tower looks amazing!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Certainly have to pick up an extra Iron Man Helmet. I definitely see it becoming desirable in the future.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

If these are going to be based on the game due out this year, then I am intrigued how the Hulk buster will look in-game. Avengers tower looks like a great upgrade compared to the MCU version 5 years ago.
Something about the bust though just seems a bit off to me?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The iron man head looks like voldemort

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Those AIM soldiers are the worst.
The rest looks decent. They will please lots of kids

Gravatar
By in Serbia,

Are these fakes?there was already 76166 as juniors tower, and also the hulk buster looks awful...

Gravatar
By in United States,

How many Hulkbusters is that now? 27?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Tower looks great! I actually might get that but I'm so tired of AIM agents. Don't care if they reflect the Square Enix game like all of these sets do, it's boring.

Bust is horrendous. I'm surprised how much better the knockoff one looks

Hulkbuster is fine, pancake head is an odd choice though

4th I believe (AoU, UCS, infinity war and this one... and one war machine colour swap hulkbuster!)

"As an MCU collector I like the iron man suits but the iron man suits in the avengers tower are sadly not blue steel and hot rod because the blue steel armor has a triangular arc reactor and the hot rod armor has a rectangular arc reactor and these suits both have circular arc reactors so these suits are clearly game content and not MCU based"

The Mark XXXVII Scuba and Mark XXXIX Space are also not quite accurate to the ones technically in the MCU, but all LEGO Iron Man collectors worth their salt include these as part of the sequence. Just because LEGO is calling these Tazer and Blazer doesn't mean they're perfectly serviceable approximations of the Canon MCU suits - and I will personally be including these in my canon numbered armors (as opposed to the miscellaneous comicbook suits like Iron Venom, etc.)

While I still feel strongly that ALL (yes, ALL) mainline Marvel sets should be 95% MCU sourced (as there is literally infinite material to draw from in the Infinity Saga) just as Star Wars sets draw from all the existing films, it is at least nice to get some more canon MCU suits rather than just fun-but-disposable stuff like the War Machine in the Helicarrier - excellent suit, but could have done without it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

My wallet is pleased that I find these sets ugly with undesirable minifigs lol. (I'm sorry but I just like the "original" Iron Man helmets too much, can't get used to any of their attempts to update them, they just end up looking cheaper. Just my opinion.)

Gravatar
By in United States,

the helmet looks weird, from some angles looks like a monkey. the star wars ones are so well done. also why is it the same price as star wars and 200 piece count less? hulkbuster with flat head, lame. tower is not bad.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh boy, another Hulkbuster, how original.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

These look pretty good; I'm full up on Hulkbusters at the moment, but I have wanted a new version of Avengers Tower. I liked the Avengers Compound set, but found it a little limited; I'd like to combine it with both Towers for an enhanced "Avengers Complex".

Gravatar
By in United States,

Avengers Tower Battle looks alright, but I probably won't buy it.

Iron Man helmet looks really nice, and is actually the first of the helmet series I'm tempted by (none of the star wars ones interested me too much)

Hulkbuster head looks really odd to me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why is Red Skull hanging out with AIM agents? He’s part of HYDRA.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like them all but two of them we've seen before with a few tweaks, lego need to start producing other marvel characters like the Fantastic four, Namor, Galactus and Daredevil too...
I'd also like to see some more Xmen sets such as Xavier's school and a UCS sentinel Robot!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

What about Sesame Street?

Gravatar
By in France,

Hulkbuster looks awful and not as good as previous renditions.

Trying to like the bust/helmet, but something looks odd

Like the tower, especially the brick built A. At some point i want to MOC a large tower so this will be useful

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The bust reminds me more of those horrible megablock sets than lego

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Time lego works with the moc communtiy because that ironman bust is only its helmet and it looks like brick. Sorry but the one on rebrickable is more to my likeing nice and smooth nah will pass on al this stuff shame do

Gravatar
By in United States,

Another Hulkbuster? Really? And this one is ugly.

They've got so much to work with, and they're putting out.... this.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Surely that Iron Man head isn't $60, right? $60 for 480 pieces in a sub-lifesize head??

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was planning on buying the Iron Man bust as soon as I heard the rumors, but I am having huge second thoughts now...

Gravatar
By in Norway,

It is actually wrong to name it "Iron Man Bust" - for it to be a bust it must have a neck (and preferably shoulders)... sloppy naming... LEGO got it right for the 75227 Darth Vader Bust and 77901 Sith Trooper Bust, though.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

The bust is a helmet, it even has the same stand as the Star Wars helmets.
I'm no fan of Marvel or Avengers but Ironman is quite iconic. And from what I can see they got the bottom half completely wrong. Like he's been punched in the mouth.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That Hulkbuster head/helmet needs to be angled/tilted upward facing us more.
It sitting too low.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m not really into the busts but that head will make a fantastic parts pack!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Why are all the Iron-Man helmets now that dreadful single-piece ... thing?

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ Because the old one is ugly, disproportionate, and huge. The helmets don't flip up in the movies anymore, either.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Somebody has been playing whack-a-mole with the hulkbuster.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Wow, Avengers Tower looks magnificent and the Iron Man bust is probably the best in the series. However, the hulk buster is ok, but his head is too flat. Whatever...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have been looking at my Avengers tower and thinking it needed more to it. Now there is something coming out to combine it with. Works for me

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't think I'll ever see a good Stark/Avengers Tower...unless they decide to make an UCS Tower.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@CM4Sci said:

The helmets don't fully come off to be held in Tony's hand anymore either really. It seems like after Iron Man 3 they just become part of the suit. These single piece helmets have no real shaping either unlike the flip-up helmets. And while Lego likes to use the single piece ones for comic-based helmets, the comic based helmets look more like the MCU version and have since the 90s (mostly).

Certain characters and armors look good with this helmet because it fits like both Rescue figures, the Invincible Iron Man suit, and even Vulture, but otherwise they just look flat and strange.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I have to agree with those who say that something feels a little off with the Iron Man bust. Also, might be a hot take, but I think that they've done an awful job with that box design for the bust. I don't like the Lego logo being at the bottom, I'm not a fan of the use of digital renders rather than actual models, the glow looks cheap and ugly, and the angle they've chosen makes the face look all wrong. I'm not one to take much note of packaging usually, as in most sets it's a fairly normal picture of the set with a generic background, but Lego have completely missed the mark with these new 18+ boxes in my opinion, and this set is the worst so far.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Now that is how the Avengers Tower should have been in the first place.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The iron man helmet has jowls, I therefore dub it Iron Grandpa.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hulk clearly picked up that S.H.I.E.L.D. Heli-dinghy and played whack-a-mole with Hulkbuster Iron Man.

@Balthazar_Brannigan:
And clearly Hulk busted the rest of Iron Man out from under that helmet.

@Yooha said:

Actually, it’s a helmet. It would be a head if it came with Tony Stark’s severed noggin inside. Maybe it does. Would explain the 18+! :~P

Probably in 2022-2025

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Yet another Hulkbuster? I'm okay with the last three.

OTOH, I kind of like the Avengers tower. Needs to be larger, though.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Please forgive the terrible 1am edit, but I'm pretty sure the helmet would look much better with some pretty minor changes.

https://i.imgur.com/nLJq06v.jpg

The main issue is the jaw is too wide. If those plates on each side can be inset a bit, it will make a huge difference. And the gold shaping might be better by just replacing the pentagonal tiles with more triangular ones.

@BlobfishBricks said:

Same. I'd be fine with them if they used the classic hazmat style A.I.M., these look weird and are overused.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Iron Man helmet looks a little ‘chubby’, and not as angular as in the films, especially around the chin/cheek area.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hulk smashed the hulk-busters head haha

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wonder what the price will be on the Avengers tower...because I'm thinking I might need to buy several and kit-bash them into one large tower.

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

I like the bust, nice colors.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That iron man bust looks wrong and creepy.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

The Hulkbuster has become the Marvel equivalent of the Landspeeder :D

I've never bought any MCU sets — though I have enjoyed most of the franchise — but I guess the Iron Man helmet is likely to join my collection, but not before its price drops to 40 euros (instead of 65, as I suspect it will be in the Benelux…).

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

so the new strategy is something like this: "let's make big awful sets and put a lot of iron man armor in them, so the people will buy them." Not a fan of this. Luckily I don't like the new helmet so I am not going to buy them. Thanks lego.

Gravatar
By in Hong Kong,

The bust looks very bad!
If this is what Lego can do, then I prefer other products if I'am a fan of Iron Man.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@crammus said:

It's comic inspired. The had is flatter in the comics and to make it accurate Lego would probably have had to make a new dome piece.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Yay, a new Rescue mini-fig!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I just want the tower if anyone wants the split for the figures and giant A :D
