Looney Tunes collectable minifigures officially revealed
Posted by Huw,
LEGO has just officially revealed the 71030 Looney Tunes minifigures on social media, over a week after they were available for purchase in the USA. Better late than never, I suppose.
We'll be publishing our review tomorrow.

My wife, upon seeing these minifigs and recently watching the new Tom & Jerry movie:
"Boy those cartoons sure are/were violent."
Wow so violent. Each of these figures armed with a weapon. Even bugs! Don’t even try to tell me that’s not a club!
Defo getting at least a whole set, maybe even a full box.
LOVE THEM
These feel similar to The Simpsons series and I love that, The Simpsons Series are both up there in the best CMFs released. This series will defo join them.
Several key characters are missing in this series. I see series 2.
I need Marvin the Martian
Does it say when they'll be available in the UK?
I'm very happy but Yosemite Sam where is?
Not surprise they scrapped the staggered reveal after them already being out in the world.
Only really like Taz and Marvin... the rest just feel off in minifigure scale. Especially Tweetie and Roadrunner.
I love all of these! Except, Tweety, and Road Runner are for the birds. ;)
Are these already in stores? or do we still have to wait until late April/early May?
My wallet always breathes a sigh of relief when these licensed CMF sets roll out. Hard pass.
This is the first ever CMF where I'm tempted to buy a whole box.
Looney Toons minifigures?! I'm shocked! Who could have ever suspected this announcement! XD
Finally, "Sufferin' succotash!"
Is Taz on a spinning top stand?

Agree, and he needs a few dynamite sticks to blow up a planet, thankfully the Empire strongly despises other planet destroyers and with him captive they'll extract evidence to convince the Senate the need of the Death Star.
Can anyone who has Speedy Gonzales tell me what colour his face, hands, feet and tail are? Are they BrickLink Medium nougat? Dark nougat? Another colour?

Yes
Could Speedy’s tail be used for future Mickey Mouse’s?
Gosh, what a totally unexpected surprise!
Weird. I just realized Daffy has a white stripe around his neck.
@magpie9:
Taz is standing on the 4x4 round tile/plate they made for TLBM’s Polka-Dot Man. It has two studs on top for a minifig to stand on, has no stud notches to allow attachment to a large studded surface, and doesn’t get used much as a result. The only other instance I can remember is that Frozone had one to represent the disc he uses to travel on his ice paths. On the underside, they may have attached a boat stud to keep it on a permanent tilt, which would be ironic because TAZ HATE WATER!
man these look so bad...I cannot believe some people like these. They look like bad knock-offs: horrible printjob, horrible mo(u)lding (speedy, taz, tweet). Simply horrible. Yikes!
I'm pleasantly surprised to see these are in feelable packets. Perhaps these were developed before Vidiyo settled on blind boxes, but until we see the next CMF series, I won't be sure whether boxes are the future.
I guess there is less chance of LEGO producing basket/soccer balls again?
I’m surprised that they didn’t give Daffy flippers for his feet. I’ll be using some orange flippers I have for the purpose. I’ve also finished building my Green Loontern body, so all I need is the head.

Way to overreact! So now carrots, cheese wedges, pies, chicken legs, tea sets, Duck Season and That's All Folks signs, basketballs and the Roadrunner's nothing are all weapons? I'll give you the mallet, baseball bat, anvil, and Marvin's disintegrating pistol. That's 1/3 of the figures. Bugs munches on carrots and says "What's up Doc" It's not a club.
Can we talk about how there is finally a cheese slope with a cheese print???!!!!!
no chungus, NO SALE!!!

It's not a club, there I told you."
While the first post is obviously sarcastic, Bugs Bunny did use a carrot as a lightsaber hilt in Looney Tunes: Back In Action
Am I the only one who finds Tweety far more intimmidating than Sylvester?
As to the violence, call me old fashioned but I still appreciate a good piano/anvil from the sky gag.
Batman- Check
Superman- Check
Loony Tunes- Check
My LEGO six flags park is going to be amazing.

I forgot / blocked out my memory the Back In Action film.... thanks for the reminder it exists! ;-P
Any sites selling full boxes?
Wait, where is Elmer Fudd?

Seems a given that those complaining about people being offended always seem to be the ones offended by the most minor things. They’re cartoon figures rendered in LEGO, chill out and enjoy.
It’s telling that you’re bothered about the lack of Elmer and Pepe and not Foghorn Leghorn.
Where’s Elmer Fudd!?

I have known about Petunia Pig my whole 40+ years on this planet because I literally had a piggy bank based on her when I was little.
Yosemite Sam would’ve been pretty straightforward, I would argue that the Western theme’s six guns would suit him perfectly.
Gossamer the hair monster as a bigfig? OH YES!
But ah really, ah said REALLY miss Foghorn Leghorn.
I’m kind of getting sick of moulded heads, it feels like you get the worst of both worlds. A Figurine of cartoon character with a LEGO Minifigure body awkwardly rammed into it. I realise that would mean far less IPs would be suitable to be incorporated into LEGO, but for me that can only be a good thing. Perhaps then LEGO Ideas will be about ... Ideas ... instead of about angry fans wanting their favoured pop culture turned into a LEGO set.

He has guns, so they didn't include him. Same with Elmer Fudd."
same as stormtroopers, lol lego make no sense sometimes"
They aren't guns! They are blasters! lol
I really feel Tweety and Roadrunner should have been micro figs that were included as the accessories for Sylvester and Wile E respectively. Like the mini pets in Friends or He-He from Moana. In-world they're too small for minifigure scale and just look awkward/chunky to me. And that would've also freed up 2 more slots for other characters.

Agreed. However, I'm just glad to get what we got. No CMF is perfect. Tweety could have been baby size though.
Same as Indiana Jones communists and Germans. I don't know how that theme made it, but I'm glad it did. :)

The people who overanalyze cartoon minifigures to deduce the meaning of who is included or not need to head the advice of said cartoons from the 1990's...

(Yes I know Animaniacs and Looney Tunes aren't the same series, but they are adjacent enough it still works)
How come literally all of them have tails except Bugs and Lola? It look like Daffy's gonna be taller than Bugs.
They really should have put in Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam, even if there was some mandate not to include guns, which I doubt was ever true. It just feels like if they did a classic Star Wars line without Darth Vader and the Emperor.
I also kind of feel like Tweety should've been a molded accessory.
I'll probably buy most of these but we'll see.

Im a guy who complains a Lot about Lego quality and from what Ive seen from videos there is one quality issue -sylvester front print being not as white as it should. Rest are simply amazing in terms of prints.
I look forward to create scenes from Roger Rabbit, like the Donald vs Daffy piano duel.

Bugs and Lola, plus Marvin, Tweety, Porky and Petunia don't have tail pieces

SSssshhhhh! He's huntin' wabbit...
@JMaster:
The character Marvin is the only one who shouldn’t have a tail. Bugs and Lola probably have printed tails, as is the case with every minifig they’ve made of a rabbit or rabbit costume. Petunia can’t wear a tail due to the skirt, and Porky probably also has a printed tail due to the curly shape. The only tail available for Tweety would be the duck tail, which is a big large for him, so again it’s probably printed. Every other character has a molded tail, but they’re all existing molds except two. Speedy and Roadrunner are the only two minifigs who appear to have newly molded tails.

I think it's also because they wanted another female character in the series
What is the big deal about Roadrunner’s legs? Like seriously. Roadrunner needs legs to, ya know, run, on the road. Just because they’re slightly wider than expected is just nitpicking. I seem to recall Bugs Bunny having pretty skinny legs in the cartoon too, but I don’t see the backlash there, haha.
