I've wanted a rebel pilot helmet since they launched these things, but I'm not sure I'm totally convinced by the goggles.. Mando's helmet needs a narrower T, possibly, although it might just be the camera angle making the grey look darker than it is.

By in United States,

These look great. Still waiting for a prequel helmet though...

Sariel is going to be so livid seeing the light grey and metallic silver.

By in United States,

Why does this look more like a helmet shell than what I expected of the Batman cowl? This looks significantly better!

I won't pick it up, but I thought the idea of a rebel pilot helmet was good and they seemed to have executed it well overall.

And as much as I like Mando, I think I'd rather see the Armorer. All that gold and the horns...

Ooh, I do not like that Luke Skywalker helmet at all.
The visor/goggles remind me of WALL-E or something. Can’t quite put my finger on it.

By in United Kingdom,

I think the Luke helmet is much more successful than the Batman cowl. Very surprised how nice it looks.

By in United States,

For being built out of Lego bricks, these look pretty great.

Gravatar
By in Venezuela,

Mandalorian looks better than the Boba Fett one

By in United Kingdom,

Like these - really nice

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are awesome... I think Mando's helmet has too many exposed studs, though.

By in United States,

For Luke’s helmet, the goggles look so … strange. Yes, Mando’s helmet sure has a lot of studs on top.

By in Netherlands,

I wasn't exactly sold on these helmets so far, but the Luke Skywalker one I really like! Unfortunately still stickers, there just shouldn't be on a pure display set like these. And still way overpriced. But at least it looks great.

I think it's just a wierd render, it's way way too shadowy. It looks like it's light blueish grey, and drum lacquered silver, so it should be plenty bright, especially around the edges of the vizor. The actual t is only two studs wide, but the shadow makes it look almost four wide.

I actually think the goggles are really nice looking, but the whole helmet seems to be angled slightly upwards, which is throwing it off a bit. I think the whole brow should come down another stud.

I absolutely love both of these. I’ve been wanting a Mando since I got the Boba Fett. And I just bought the Luke Skywalker Helmet from Galaxies Edge, so I’d love to display the LEGO one next to it.

By in Canada,

The Mando helmet looks great, and will go nicely with my Boba Fett, but Lukes is...off. I mean, it looks good for what it is, but I think its a bit odd that you should be able to see his face, but obviously, you cant.

As a huge Batman fan I totally concede that Luke’s helmet is what the Batman cowls should have been. That Luke helmet is a great render and makes the Batman versions pale.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

These helmets prove that Lego can’t be great at everything.

By in Sweden,

The return of the 2x2 silver tile!

Gravatar
By in United States,

For everyone who is not sure about the Red 5 helmet, I think that the visor looks off because the helmet is tilted back in that image. If it can be angled forward slightly, I think it would look more natural. I also think maybe modding it to have the visor raised would help as well. I can’t wait to see more images of these two.

By in United Kingdom,

Great news for the Tie Fighter Helmet again!

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look fantastic!

My only minor gripes are:

- The width of Mando’s T-visor (though I’m not sure if doing it one-stud wide would’ve looked better)
- The orange visor on Luke’s helmet seems like a good enough solution, but the part just above that needs to be brought down a bit more

All in all though, these are some great additions to the helmet lineup!

By in Canada,

I bought all of the helmets in the first two years. I never built them and I now realize I probably never will. So I won’t get these ones. As I get older I realize I like play sets way more than display sets :)

By in Germany,

The third year without a PT helmet...

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I wasn't interested in any of these (I thought Vader's was kinda goofy, so didn't pay much attention to the rest), but I gotta admit, Luke's helmet is awesome. I like Mando's as well. Not buying them (still paying off that UCS AT-AT!), but cool designs nonetheless.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wonder how long it will be until people customize the Luke helmet for different Rebel pilots,

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Luke's helmet looks neat, and 4x4 dishes with a Rebel starbird are pretty sweet.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Impressive but I’m not into the display pieces that aren’t Minifigure-scale or most of them in general. I wonder if someone could make a replica of the Mando one but with sand green pieces and an added antenna thingy to make Boba Fett’s helmet, heck they could try making Jango Fett and Paz Vizla as well, maybe the Armorer would require too much modification but it’d be cool to see one of her, too.

There already is a Boba Fett one. LEGO released it two years ago.

Best 2 helmets yet

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have to wonder how many people will be getting Luke's helmet just to get their hands on that printed dish...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm just wondering why all studs on top for The Mandalorian Helmet. wonder if theirs a way to raise middle and also put those pieces all around top also

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Mando's helmet looks good, although too much lbg instead of metallic silver. They should have used flat silver for contrast. If a modular building can get a bunch of parts in a new color why can't a helmet too?
Luke's helmet on the other hand is a big fail in my opinion. The visor looks crap (should have been a specialized single flexible piece instead), the proportions are way off, those 2 dishes stuck on the top look out of place and the many stickers combined with only 3 prints is a big disappointment again. For the chin strap they could have used a paper strip similar to the Fender strap.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Dunno what people don't like about Luke's visor, looks pretty great to me

Gravatar
By in Australia,

C’mon Lego, make a Captain Rex helmet you cowards!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The visor isn't perfect, the parts shapes used means there's too much of a gap over the nose. The orange should probably be yellower, but they've always used trans-orange instead of trans-yellow shades.

As for the angle, I'm pretty sure that's intentional. Look at stock images for the Black Series and Metal Earth versions of Luke's helmet, they're practically identical. This build is on-model for the corporate standard.

Weighing all of those factors, the price point, the scale--this is amazing, and for us X-wing video game fans, it's a perfect companion piece for the TIE Pilot helmet. It's also an obvious pick-up to pair with the Luke's lightsaber build that was offered with the AT-AT.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I am not too keen on the use of 'The Mandalorian' on the information plate. I think we all know his actual name by now.

Nice looking helmets though.

For anybody who is unsure about the SW helmets, I highly recommend them. I was lucky enough to receive two as gifts in December and I love them. They are a great build and have a lovely robust weight to them. They look awesome on display.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't know why the Brickheadz version is the only version of the Mandalorian with a thin T-shaped visor that Lego can produce. This helmet and the minifig helmets look objectively incorrect for no good reason.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The red five helmet looks great, wish it wasn’t tilted back as it looks a bit odd. Mandos visor is far too wide

"THOSE HELMETS ARE EPIC.

Who cares if the Rebel helmet doesn't have Lukes face. I think it is cool that they were able to make it look good without the head inside it."

I think it would look terrible with a face

Gravatar
By in United States,

@MisterBrickster:
The goggles should have an arch to accommodate the bridge of the pilot’s nose, so that’s probably what’s bugging you.

@TheMikeStrikesBack:
Jango’s helmet is practically begging to be made, with this being the second Mandalorian helmet.

@night13flyer:
It actually helps sell the compound curved shape of the helmet shell, believe it or not.

@R0Sch:
The SW theme gets a bunch of new elements each year, but that’s for every set they release over the whole year. So, which one should give up slots for this helmet? Maybe use some red panels on the AT-AT? Use Stormtrooper torsos for all the Clonetroopers?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Comparing the side view of Luke’s with my full scale replica reveals what’s wrong with the helmet. The angle at which the forehead area is set, is to high. It should be angled down by a few degrees. This would probably also fix the visor.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

Mando's helmet looks great.
Luke's helmet looks atrocious.

So it's 50/50 great/garbage this year so far...

Let's hope the Dark Trooper helmet falls towards the great camp.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Stunning and a perfect addition to the one's I have. Just outstanding !

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Could the angle of Luke’s helmet be fixed with a hinge plate somewhere towards the top if the base?

Gravatar
By in Austria,

Finally some more Mando stuff!!!
Whoooooooooohhoooooo!!!

Wow! M1d1 for me.

Yeah, the bottom of the T on Mando’s helmet needs to be narrower. Boba’s is opposite; it’s too narrow and needs to be wider. Otherwise, I think these both look great. I will definitely be getting Mando’s helmet.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The rebel helmet looks really cool and a different building technique from everything before which is great! Sorry, Mando just to grey and too similar to previous helmets, maybe if they used more color and less exposed studs on top it would interest me.

Gravatar
By in Romania,

Luke's helmet turned out great. Mando looks just as it should, but I believe they played it too safe. We already have Boba Fett and Mando isn't a classic Star Wars character. I would much rather buy a clone trooper helmet. Lego seems to totally ignore the prequels in favour of newer material and I'm not sure that's a good thing. Unfortunately, my helmet collection will be incomplete, since I don't think I'll be buying Mando and I certainly won't buy any sequel trilogy helmet. I don' think they will happen though..
