75330 Dagobah Jedi Training has been revealed by Amazon, following the emergence of 75329 Death Star Trench Run yesterday.

This set is bigger than its counterpart, including exactly 1000 pieces and costing £69.99 or €79.99. The US price will probably be $79.99.

High resolution images are available below...

Do you prefer the microscale 75329 Death Star Trench Run or the minifigure-scale 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training? Let us know in the comments.

By in Canada,

Hey I think this looks preety darn cool. Not gonna buy it though but it looks real purty.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

This looks better than what I thought based on the image from yesterday.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Yes, i like it. Might get it even. I don’t have the earlier hut, so this will do perfectly.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Snooze. Really looking forward to reading all the rave reviews for this one from the same people complaining about the Trench Run price.

Gravatar
By in Malaysia,

I have 75208 and will take this as well, thank you.

Gravatar
By in United States,

What a rip-off! Only getting a part of an x-wing! ;-)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like these two sets, having got an earlier version of Yoda's Hut 75208 I think there's space for both but really like the look of this - and while it has a Star Wars tax since its available via Amazon then I am sure there will be scope for discounts to make it more attractively priced. Look forward to the reviews but on first looks I do like this - and the Death Star Run. Will there be an Ewok village or Hoth attack to round out he original trilogy?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oooo, this does look pretty good. Was worried about how the X-Wing would be incorporated into the set but I think they set it up nicely

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is nice, and the trench run too, but I wish that the scale was consistent across the series. I’ll probably still get them anyway…

Gravatar
By in United States,

Trans green 1x1 tiles are as rare as hens teeth if I remember correctly.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I do like this, but given the external size of the hut I'd expect a larger interior... This doesn't even look as though Yoda will fit in his bed...
I really hope that I'm proven wrong, so look forward to the review

Gravatar
By in United States,

This looks a lot nicer than the trench run. Great display piece.

Nope! They are less than a cent at bricklink.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Also, if my eyes don't deceive me, does the trench run come with 3-long trans-green bars? ie. The part required to build a Yoda's lightsaber that isn't ridiculously sized?

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

I'm satisfied with the $30 set from 2018. Same figures. These black bases needlessly make the model more expensive. For this price I'll buy Horizon's Tallneck, which is far impressive.

Gravatar
By in United States,

When will this thing release though? The date could be helpful to determine when the summer sets are arriving (really excited for those).

Gravatar
By in United States,

I will definitely pick this up. That’s one of my favorite series of scenes not just in Star Wars, but all of movies.

I know it’s pricey, but the presentation is excellent and it looks more like a sculpture or a MOC than a set.

I’ve sold custom MOCs before. If an AFOL were to put this together and offer it up complete with packaging and instructions you’d be looking at a much, much higher cost.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Looks better than the other one, at least this one has minifigures and doesn't look 100% like a basic display piece cash grab.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks nice. I would probably prefer a normal set, but the benefit of a display piece is that the design can focus on accuracy and not playability. Kudos to the designers.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well . . . I guess I actually DO need 75296 Darth Vader Meditation Chamber, because now it's a series. Pretty silly problem to have, but here we are.

Gravatar
By in United States,

neat but the trans-green parts make it look more like a Dagobah toxic waste site than a swamp, IMO

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Not a big Star Wars fan, but this looks really nice!

Gravatar
By in United States,

More of a minifig collector myself, so I prefer this set over the trench run, but both look like nice builds and display pieces.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Great for collectors but a money saver for me.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

The set is fairly nicely detailed and the price is also not bad for what you get in my opinion a nice way to get the yoda minifigure.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Should’ve included a “Penny for your thoughts” alternate quote tile. Or two seagulls.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This looks awesome. They nailed the scene really well. But since I already have 75208, do I need this? I mean, the hut looks way better. The trees look way better. But maybe I can just modify that set? For the expected price, I'd be hesitant to get it. But I think for people on the fence and they don't have the other Hut sets, I'd say go for it. It looks legit.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

An insane price for Yoda hut inferior to 75208 or 4502. 1000 pieces and it looks like half of them are in the fram/diorama base and thus invisible. I'm out.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is that a new mud spattered R2-D2????

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I actually like this one, I have the 75208 already, but this displays better as it's meant to be viewed from the front and not necessarily played with. The X Wing poking out from the swamp is a really nice touch

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

I met him in a swamp down in Dagobah
Where it bubbles all the time like a giant carbonated soda
S-O-D-A soooo-da
I saw a little runt sitting there on a log
I asked him his name and in a raspy voice, he said "Yoda"
Y-O-D-A Yoooo-da
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo-Yoooo-da

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Compared to the Trench run set this here is a real deal for a SW set with 3 minifigures. Someone must have messed up the price tags again. The black base and microscopic quote print is kind of useless, but pretty good otherwise.
Remember when it was uncommon to have a whole LEGO room? Soon LEGO sets will have a special theme called "Kids welcome too" cause apparently TLG jumped on the Black Series Collection train and it's missing the brakes.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't buy SW sets (my wallet is very grateful), but this kind of display vignette is something that would actually tempt me into buying one. I think it looks great, and the X-Wing sticking out of the swamp is a really cool detail.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This looks amazing but - oof - the price tag. I'd be happier with something less fancy in the $15 range, and am more likely to just build my own.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The details on this look really nice. I love "I almost got eaten by a swamp monster and all I got was a muddy paint job" R2.

Judge it by its size, do you? ;~)

There was a muddy R2 in 75208 . Looks like it’s the same one.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This set is basically 75208 with a $50 baseplate. I'd rather take the old set and improve on it with my own collection than get this. I know some people will like it, but the value seems inflated.

I'm waiting for a review with photos comparing the sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@kingalbino

Unfortunately, I think it's the same mud-splattered R2 from 75208.

Luke looks to have a slightly different torso and legs, but I think the head is the same - these images only show his "meditative face" with eyes closed, which is identical to the meditative face from 75208. Hopefully the alternate face in this one is unique, but I doubt it.

Yoda also looks mostly identical except his head/eyes look maybe slightly different... could be a variation in the photo/lighting, or it could be a whole new mold/material.

“Do you prefer the microscale 75329 Death Star Trench Run or the minifigure-scale 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training?”

Yes.

@Skippyj:
TNG certainly are rare, having only appeared in 4495, but regular trans-green are fairly common.

@Johnny__Thunder97:
Maybe? I hope so. 3L works better for standard lightsabers as it is, but it also makes a true two-handed Darth Maul lightsaber possible. And so far the trans-bright-green ones have been limited to two CMFs. If they are, that might be a LUGBulk pick. Got 4L clear bars on this round, which was pretty cool.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I don't hate the recent trend of these black bases - they work great in 76989 and 76956, where it's a reasonable size and ties together the scene. But parts-intensive bases like in 10277 and 75296 feel unnecessary and jack up the price. And in this set it certainly feels unnecessary.

There's nothing accomplished in this set that couldn't be done just as well in half the price.

Just passing through to upvote seagull comments.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

I prefer neither.
Boring and too greebly.
These are not the sets I am looking for.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I remember when Lego used to be a toy for children to play and be creative with.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It seems Lego is going full-bore into display pieces for 18+.

Not interested. Too many Lego sets with better actual play value. Lego means "play well" and not "display well"

Gravatar
By in Slovakia,

X-Wing is still clean like coming freshly from factory -a missed chance for some neat stickers...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Both sets are good but I prefer the Jedi Training.

I May get both, if I can find a good discount.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wait, a Star Wars set at 1,000 pieces for $80? Dare I say that seems like a bargain for a SW set?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This looks much better, and better value, than the trench run set. Might be worth a purchase.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I need this! I’m a big Yoda fan, and I love this set! Can’t wait to buy it!

Take away the parts for the base & all the trans parts & it’s probably the same price as the other SW sets.

I'm aware of how this site works.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I normally get my Star Wars fix via the UCS sets, but felt a bit ‘meh’ about the Gunship and didn't even bother with the AT-AT. These scene diorama builds though have really caught my eye………. maybe size (or piece count) really isnt everything!

I’ll be getting them both, and if the trash compactor is of the same quality that as well. Maybe not D1M1, but deffo getting them

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

While I like the design for the most part (not a fan of the flower bouquet dead grass), its still at least £20 over the price I'd be willing to pay for it for the scale.

Majority of the parts count seems to have gone on tiles and cheese slopes.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

75208 clear

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Vindicare:
Funny thing about being the manufacturer is it costs the same to make parts in rare and highly desired colors as it does to make them in throwaway colors that you can’t give away on Bricklink. So you may gauge the value based on what you want to keep vs give away to random homeless people, but they have to turn a profit on all their retail sets.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

I absolutely like this one more than the microscale trench run

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Much better than the Death Star, and I missed out on the 2018 one, so this might be a purchase for me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

“Do you prefer the microscale 75329 Death Star Trench Run or the minifigure-scale 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training?”
Judging by the comments section of 75329, I think FOLs would prefer anything over it. I’d say 75330 is the better set of the two but they are both well-designed imo.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I like it, but why not a great looking playset combining best of both worlds?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Tomorrow is trash compactor reveal btw. Looks better than tench run and swamp together but will likely have the adult price.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Oh bugger... I find Star Wars mind numbingly boring, but these two diorama sets are extremely appealing!

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

That's it. I'm DONE reading these comments. The incessant whining and downright toxic negativity is too much to handle.

Have fun being a bunch of spoiled crybabies :D

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I like this and I would get it if I did not already have the 2018 version that has the exact same figures.

Gravatar
By in United States,

My biggest problem with this set and 75208 is that Yoda's hut is the wrong color. It is only tan on the inside, not on the outside. Dark tan would have been a much better compromise. between the exterior and interior colors. The regular tan just doesn't say "swamp" to me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Honestly not as big or as detailed as I would have liked. I see a lot of people saying they prefer this to the Death Star Trench Run, but personally I think the Trench Run looks better. But even so, as excited I was when these sets were first rumored, upon seeing them I'm not sure if I'm really that interested in collecting them. I prefer the UCS and Helmet series sets.

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

Very nice. I liked all the swamp detail. This will make a great display piece.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m not gonna lie, I like this set. However, I much preferred when these sort of sets were the GWP on May the 4th. Who knows, maybe we’ll still get another display scene this year, but as beautiful as this set is (as well as the trench run), the price is just a little too hard to swallow. Of course, if I can get it discounted I may change my mind.

@Skippyj said:

They're commonly used as green lights in various contexts (control dials, traffic lights, etc).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Working with a 1000 pieces I would have 16x16 transparent green plates with a full X-wing underneath, and a see-saw mechanism which I could press one end down to lift the X-wing up into the air, together with a larger hobbit home. Ok I would have to give up on all that detailing with hundreds of 1x1 green tiles, and maybe it would not display as well, but should appeal to a wider audience than just display collectors.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Not bad, but I am happy with my 75208 Yoda's Hut... could easily add some additional foliage and a black base to it if I wanted to..

Probably will try to get the trench run though

Gravatar
By in United States,

you can preoder 3 star wars sets now lego

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Looks very cool. But I do think I prefer the trench run. But the going rate is way too much for me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I would prefer the dagobah set, that said, i'm not a fan of the "scene" sets. Some are better than others, but FOL's would rather have ships with figs, playsets etc. IMO. Pricing is getting a bit out of control as well...
