Two Star Wars sets unveiled!
Posted by Huw,
Two more new Star Wars sets have been revealed today, to coincide with Star Wars Celebration in California:
LEGO Star Wars fans are in for a treat as the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm have unveiled three new sets to celebrate Obi-Wan Wednesdays.
To inspire Jedi-minded fans and those looking to support the dark side, these three new sets depicting some of Obi-Wan’s greatest adventures from across his galactic journeys are sure to provide hours of fun and play with favourite characters like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Taun We, R4-P17, Grand Inquisitor, Reva (Third Sister Inquisitor), Fifth Brother Inquisitor and more!
75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter
All aboard Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter, inspired by its appearance in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones! With Obi-Wan in the cockpit and his trusty astromech droid R4-P17 on the wing, travel to Kamino, beyond the Outer Rim. Fire the stud shooters at any enemy starships that get in your way. Land on the water world of Kamino to be greeted by Taun We. Your meeting could change the course of the Clone Wars!
75336 Inquisitor Transport Scythe
Construct and play out the dark side of the Force with The Inquisitor Transport Scythe! Reva, the Grand Inquisitor and the Fifth Brother are on board for a sinister mission. Flip down the wings for flight mode and fire the spring-loaded shooters. On landing, lower the ramp and prepare for battle. Can Obi-Wan Kenobi elude the Inquisitors with their double-bladed lightsabers? This set is inspired by the new Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, streaming exclusively on Disney+ starting May 27.
40547 Obi-Wan Kenobi & Darth Vader
Fans can relive dramatic scenes from the Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi as they build LEGO BrickHeadz versions of iconic characters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader - the Force is strong with this duo! The products capture authentic details including Darth Vader’s red eyes and a lightsaber for each buildable LEGO brick figure, plus baseplates for display. This creative building toy is suitable for ages 10 and up and would make an awesome addition to any Star Wars fan’s collection.
All sets will be available for pre-order from today at LEGO.com and will be available in LEGO Retail Stores and other retail partners starting August 1, 2022.

How much? $70 for the Starfighter and $250 for the Inquisitor?
These look cool. I'm gonna buy them!!!
Pre-orders placed! This is the best Jedi Delta-7 class starfighter yet, they finally nailed the shaping on the body and cockpit areas. The Scythe looks really good on the outside, and has a pretty good amount of space inside too!
Starfighter looks nice but very basic, hopefully not more than 20€.
Scythe looks unique, hard to judge it yet from 1 pic, great minifigs mostly. Hopefully priced okay ... :)
That inquisitor ship is easily the best in the long line of black Star Wars shuttles in LEGO form. It’s beautiful! No major gaps, all the angles seem to fit accurately! And four desire-able characters!
The Delta fighter is incredible. Not necessarily the best iteration of the ship, but the Taun We minifigure is wonderful, and the Ep II Obi Wan is one of the best SW figs of recent years.

$30 and $100 actually.
Worth it to me, really love these $100 sets that include an impressive ship and all the minifigures you could want from the show, like the bad batch shuttle.
This is coming from someone with a very limited lego budget/display and store space. I could see myself buying both of these for the iconic ships and minifigs
I'm not a fan of Brickheads so that set doesn't excite me too much but the other two look amazing. My only issue is with the Grand Inquisitor's head print. Why are his markings grey when they're red in Rebels and look to be red in the new show too. Oh well, it's still a very good looking figure and I can't wait to get them.
Taun We for lego president!
Loving that kaminoan minifig
I don’t know, the cockpit on the Delta-7 still looks too tall to me…
Love the Brickheads, Vader is spot on; Obie looks as though an angry beaver has sprung from his chest tho.
I want the Inquisitors Transport Scythe and the Kenobi ship in that order.
Two Star Wars sets revealed? I count three. Was one already announced?
Scythe looks great, I just hope it looking chunky means there’s some interior there and we’re not dealing with another Night Buzzard situation

They are 30 and 100 euro so that can be anywhere from $30-$60USD and $100 to $130USD."
US LEGO.com has them at $30 & $100, so we’re good.

Yes, this morning.
Oh thank god they made an actual Kaminoan minifigure!
These look great! The front of the Inquisitor ship looks so clean.
Younger me would've killed for a Kaminoan minifig, can't believe it took this long!
Love that new(?) Obi-Wan hairpiece.
@Huw
A bit out of topic but you must know that (since you often receive the sets before they are announced): do we have to wait until Lego Con to get info about the rest of the Technic line-up or we can expect to have more news in the coming days (June is just around the corner you know).
Yes!!!
Oh boy, that starfighter is brlliant.
Finally a Kaminoan minifig!! More importantly, they both look great (minifigs included) and seem fairly priced!?
My only annoyance is not with LEGO, but with the Empire's insistence of giving out prototype ships to special units. So much waste! It would have been nice to see the Delta Class shuttle, TIE Reaper, or even the Raider Class corvette used.
I feel like none of the Lego minifig-scale Delta-7 models have done a particularly good job capturing the silhouette of the ship. To an extent, the original 7143 from 2002 looks the best to me. I’ve seen some good MOCs, but I wonder if there’s something about this ship+scale+Lego design requirements that makes it nearly impossible to nail.
These look great! But Obi-Wan's Starfighter makes me more desperate for an updated Jango's Slave 1.

The summer Technic sets usually launch in August so I suspect we'll have a while to wait yet.
A big shame that leaked Minidoll alien was not real then, it looked WAY better
Nice to see those inquisitor light saber hilts back in production. The second hand market cost for those is out of control right at the moment.
Are there many other sets with Kaminoans? I can't think of any.
I'm just looking at the Third Sister minifig and immediately realizing that with a simple hair piece swap, I can have a Second Sister minifig for Jedi Fallen Order!
Typical Disney marketing. "Favourite characters" before the show with said new characters in it is even out.
Preording the scythe today! It is a perfect ship, so much interior!! I love the figs too. May also pick up the starfighter just because I have Anakins. The radar dish on it is a great inclusion!

Personally I'm hoping for an official fig soon. They've got to make Fallen Order sets if they're doing BD-1
I've already pre-ordered the starfighter, it's a bit chunky but easily the best they've done since the original (which I accept I look at with nostalgia goggles)
Also, I didn't expect the Imperial Inquisition.
The Starfighter somehow look horrible to me compared to previous similar designs. Shame that you need to get it to get the minifigure.
The Shuttle looks very good, and I like the BrickHeadz.
@MisterBrickster said:
"Also, I didn't expect the Imperial Inquisition."
NO-ONE expects the Imperial Inquisition!
I love the starfighter (and that Taun We minifig is excellent as well). I don't have any of the previous versions, so I will definitely be picking this up!
The shuttle looks great as well, but due to limited budget and limited space, I'll probably pass.
I'm not really big on Brick Headz in general, but I guess these 2 are fine?
Pretty disappointed with the Reva minifig considering all the others look amazing. No leg printing and another ill-fitting hairpiece used on a licensed female minifigure. If they had the budget to make new molds for this set they should've made a new hair mold for her instead.
The build and the rest of the figures are awesome though, so I'll probably still pick this one up.
Nice, I kind of wanted the first version of Obi Wan's starfighter (7143) but I like this updated design, also nice that it has an OK price. Don't really care for the Taun We figure, although it's nice to have I guess.
3 lego sets not 2

"Love that new(?) Obi-Wan hairpiece."
It's a shame that they didn't use it for the AotC set... The Dastan/Snape hair never looked very accurate.
Obi-Wan Wednesdays? That cash cow is going to need udder cream
I'm still wondering if I'll get the Delta. I have 75191 so I really don't need this one. Although I do like Taun We and that Obi-Wan minifig.
Glad to finally get a Kaminoan and that Obi-Wan fig is nice, provided the print is opaque enough. The ship however, I'm not super happy with. Why are they still making these Jedi starfighters so tall! The cockpit shouldn't stick up so high and the wing angle is too steep. There are some really good MOCs out there by people like atlas_er, Lewis Kiwi, Caleb Ricks and E Why that capture the shape much better.
I didn't know Valkyrie was an Inquisitor!!
Does anyone know if these sets will be exclusive to lego.com, or if they will also be found in other stores?
Man I love Delta-7s. I still think angling the wing is dumb. You’d achieve a better shape simply by layering, but this isn’t horrible. I hope it has actual rear landing gear. The original did and I bought three of them!
I hope it’s not way overpriced. I’ve been wanting some space giraffe people for a long time now.
Oof. It’s great that they’re finally making a Kaminoan (Lama Su will probably follow sooner or later, and they can even repurpose the head to make Yarael Poof, but did that Delta-7 get smushed under a Geonosian droid press? How did that pass approval? It looks like a half-used tube of toothpaste, neatly pressed flat at one end, and ready to burst at the other.
But does he R4 droid have back printing?
Wait is the Brickheadz a celebration exclusive?
Added both of these excellent sets to my want list.
@ytjedi said:
"But does he R4 droid have back printing?"
No. You can see in the product 360 spin video on lego.com that there is no back print.
Aaaaaand the price for the Starfighter went up in Europe just a few hours after the reveal. Nasty move from LEGO...
Like them all!
I have skipped the article and the comments. No offence, but I am guessing there are some spoilers. Even if its just revealing characters.

But is the same of the old set, or it has new print?
Finally, a remake of Director Krennic's Shuttle 75156 :)

Love the Scythe, looks as mean and intimidating as the characters that pilot it

7143 - can't beat the classics!
I just rewatched (or watched? This might’ve been the first time I’ve seen the film all in one sitting) Attack of the Clones so this is an amazing coincidence. While the film itself was just okay for the most part imo, getting a Kaminoan as a Minifigure is great and will certainly drive me to get this set, they should’ve used the old taller slope for the legs, though.

Even as someone who has never had experience with Lego pre 2007/2008-ish, sometimes I have to admit the sleekness of the models from earlier periods, and I think 7143 - is a really good example of that
Scythe looks pretty dang cool. Looks like it fixes all the issues with the Night Buzzard; has a nice inside and a cool ramp!

Thanks. I was on the impression that they were launching in June in Europe and being only available in August in North America - due to apparently different stocking time from toy retailers.
Both ships look great. The Scythe shows what the Night Buzzard could have been. My only complaint is that I think Taun We should have been a mini-doll.
I actually want all three of these.
I'm with several others here-- 7143 is still my favorite rendition of the Jedi Starfighter. Curved slopes had just been invented, and it had the most elegant lines. I even place it above the UCS. The old classic even had folding landing gear (and the UCS does not).
They really gave Obi-Wan the visible confusion face? Sold.
@Renaissance_Ravensly:
Well, if there’s a bright center to the hanger, you’re on the starfighter that it’s farthest from.
@Trigger_:
They didn’t use a slope at all. That’s a minifig skirt element. It actually uses the same connection as minifig legs, so it won’t leave the “legs” behind when you pick up the minifig. You sorta could add plates or bricks to the bottom, but this has radiused corners, where any brick or plate will abruptly transition to sharp corners.
@HOBBES:
I figured that applied more to licensed themes, since I know DC is one that I’ve regularly had to wait another two months for.
Finally! After all these years we have a LEGO Kiminoan! Praise the mighty GONK droid in the sky for this gift!
In order to get the astromech droid into the Jedi starfighter, you have to decapitate him. I'm actually not surprised since the droids in the movies actually can't fit inside the starfighter without having his legs dangling out the bottom. (Of course, they fudged the CGI so you wouldn't see that.)
@PDelahanty:
On the Naboo Starfighter, the shoulders would punch through the hull unless the droid sits sidesaddle, and even then there’s a collar around the head that would require stretching the neck. Neither of the Jedi Starfighter designs had enough vertical space, and I don’t know if the N1 did either.
I'm not a fan of the Delta-7 TBH. The cockpit sits way too high, probably to allow storing the rest of astromech inside the ship. The Obi-Wan and Taun We minifigs are nice though.
I really like the look of the Inquisitor Shuttle! It seems to have a solid selection of minifigs and a decent price.
The minifigs look good! I probably won't pick up either set, but I may see if I can pick up Taun We or EP II Obi-wan. Although I doubt the printing will be very opaque since they are printing white and tan on brown. The inquisitors look nice, but aside from their hilts they don't interest me. The scythe is a beautiful ship, but not one that will endanger my wallet. That honor will probably go to the AT-TE.
Well this is rather upsetting, 2 more sets that I need to have. When is Lego going to give me a break? I might have passed on Obiwan’s starfighter, but not when it includes a Kaminoan.
Also it’s nice to see that we’ll be getting Obiwan sets in a more timely manner than we did Mandalorian sets.
Finally, I must say I’m very happy with these prices, they seem quite reasonable. However, it seems like the monthly subscription to Disney+ is very misleading as they don’t include the cost of Lego sets or the home theater I’m building in their marketing.

No offense taken, just concerned bemusement (which I suppose many people choose to conflate anyways). Generally, when I "skip" an article, I simply scroll right past it without opening it. There isn't a rule or quota that requires you to click into every article and leave a comment even if you don't wish to read it. The first few paragraphs are shown on the home page to preempt you any spoilers, unless you're viewing this from an app, and even then, the headline alone would've been enough to help you make a decision, I think. I haven't opened maybe half of the articles in the past week and I'm doing just fine. I guess my point is that you don't have to feel obligated to comment, and your comment sounds like you're concerned that by not clicking in and commenting you're doing Brickset a disservice, which I promise you you aren't. I'm sure Brickset understands that not everything is for everyone.
It looks like LEGO raised the price for euros. It was originally €30 and now it’s €34.99
Not sure if they’ve raised it after seeing the hype or if it was always meant to be the higher price.

Reveal new set -> look for the online outrage about pricing -> see no outrage -> price hike
This is how I imagine the evil corporate face-hidden-in-the-shadows at LEGO to operate at this point. At least it's in line with 2022 LEGO overpricing everything.
Woohoo ! These all look great !

In-universe, the Delta-7's accompanying Astromech was fully integrated into the ship and didn't have a complete body. R4 got one later.
I want to love Obi-Wan's starfighter but the flat nose on it looks worse and worse the more I look at it (especially bad in the 360° video on the LEGO shop page). No idea why they designed it like that either considering its overall design is VERY similar to 9498, but that one had a much better nose despite being a 10-year-old set.

Ironically enough she got one to be compatible with the ETA-2, which is the only one of the three ships that really doesn't have enough room for the droid it shows. The N-1 fudged it by saying the droid extends its neck and the delta 7 never had a full droid
They put the head on the astromech droid wrong in the product image.
The "Pointer eye" is on the left instead of the front in the image.
On the actual box its built correctly.
Odd.
I can't say the Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter is a real improvement over the last one. I feel it does some things better, and some things worse. The nose and the cockpit are a step down. I preferred the use of curved pieces on the last one. But I like the wings one this one better, and how the wings and cockpit transition into the fin in the back. I feel that's done better. I don't care for the big stud shooters though. The smaller ones were sleeker.

At least 39€.
These are great looking sets. New minifigs, new ship designs, all done done well! I'd get this Vader Brickheadz if it weren't in a two pack - he looks fantastic, but although I love Kenobi onscreen, I don't need a Brickheadz of him.
“Obi-Wan Wednesdays” kinda makes me throw up a little when I think about the corporate nature of it.
I’m getting too old I think. :D

A missed opportunity to bring peace between minidolls and minifigs; this was an obvious situation when the minidoll would've been aesthetically superior. And we could use more minidoll leg mold options!
@blogzilly:
I was more irked that it sounds better if you call it Obi-Wednesdays.
@Padmewan:
Yarael Poof! This head works for both, but the minidoll body doesn’t. This is probably also more in line with the video game depictions, which predate the minidoll.
Does anybody know if R4 has back printing?

Provided the legs compress a little (which is also necessary for the N-1), droids fit into the Eta-2 just fine.

Ah. Forgive me. I should have added context. Some of the models during the early years of Lego Star Wars were far from sleek, like the very first attempt at an AT-ST or the very first Slave I, but I think other models, such as 7143 - hold up well even to today's standards, at least in the looks department. Not as certain about the stability department"
@Renaissance_Ravensly:
I was just paraphrasing an Ep4 quote for effect. Yes, older models may look less polished, but viewed from the side this doesn’t even look like the same starfighter due to the wonky hump where the cockpit’s located vs the flat, flat, flat nose. It’s supposed to evoke the clean wedge shape of the ISD, but only does so when viewed from above. It may be possible to combine the surface design from this with the cleaner lines of previous attempts to get a really accurate design, but this one is a step backward that’s really only saved by a minifig who never even rode in one.
Why do the boxes in the images from Walmart or other retailers have the age and piece count in a white circle (which looks awful) but the actual sets on the Lego website have the information displayed in the usual way? Both images must originate from Lego so why the difference?
@Doctor_Hugh:
I’ve never seen this myself, so I had to check it out, but I think I know what’s going on. Only a few seem to be affected. For instance, 76202 has the normal print on the box, while 76204 has the white circle version. Back in 2020, the Mexican plant got shut down for at least a month, and the only way to keep shelves stocked in North America was to ship European product over here instead. That info is not printed on EU boxes, but is required over here (plus the barcodes are different), so the only way they could sell EU stock in NA was to slap stickers on everything. I have double copies of a few Batman sets where one is stickered and the other is normal.
These round versions look like they may be more of the same, but with a revised sticker. Where my stickered boxes have all the info printed as it would be on a standard NA box, these look like they were optimized to be free of language barriers. Maybe there are other geographic regions that need or want the piece counts, and this is an easy way to make that possible (especially in small markets where it makes less sense to produce dedicates boxes).
@PurpleDave:
Thanks for the response, although that doesn't actually make sense to me. You say the European version doesn't include the information but the sticker only contains age and piece count. Both of those are on the European version as well as the set number and set name. So the stickered product simply has less information, not more or different.

Hopefully we get a TIE Reaper with Second Sister minifigure and Ninth Sister Bigfig; maybe Seventh Sister and Eighth Brother figs while they’re at it. Seems more likely than getting Fortress Inquisitorious or Malachor Sith Temple sets.
@Doctor_Hugh:
That’s…my understanding, yes. I guess I haven’t seen them lately, but I remember reading complaints about how North America got that info while Europe did not.
Everything just looks so awesome.
Jedi Starfighter is most definitely a Day 1 buy for me, the Scythe Transport will follow later. The Brickheadz will make a fine addition to my collection, but I will wait and see if I have leftover budget. My main goal for this new wave is the rumored Justifier. The rumored AT-TE is also a possibility, but I will only get if for Commander Cody, and so I will wait to see if Cody comes elsewhere.
