Eiffel Tower revealed!
Posted by Huw,
The tallest LEGO set ever, and second largest in terms of number of pieces has been revealed!
Here's the press release:
10307 Eiffel Tower
10,001 pieces, rated 18+
£554.99 / €629.99 / $629.99 / AU$999.99 / CA$799.99
Available at LEGO.com from 25th November
The LEGO Group has today revealed its tallest build yet – the breathtaking new LEGO Eiffel Tower set. One of the world’s most recognisable landmarks, the new LEGO set will immediately transport you to the heart of Paris.
Embodying the famous landmark’s height and standout architecture, this towering LEGO set reaches a magnificent 149cm / 58inches / 4.8ft tall once built, making it the ultimate statement in brick form.
A magnificent way to add a new display piece to your home, the 10,001-piece set is designed to authentically replicate the momentous wrought iron tower – complete with the beautiful truss-work, three observation platforms, landscaping, elevators, an office at the top and a broadcast tower and the Tricolore flag at its peak. The set can also be separated into four sections, making it manageable to build, move and play with.
The Eiffel Tower was constructed from 1887 to 1889 as the centrepiece of the 1889 World's Fair. Despite receiving initial criticism for its design, it has since become a global, cultural icon and one of the most recognisable structures in the world.
Describing the process of designing the new set, Rok Žgalin Kobe, LEGO Designer comments: “We wanted to find the ultimate LEGO expression for the engineering and architectural masterpiece that is the Eiffel Tower. We followed the structural principles of the original tower as closely as the LEGO System would allow.
"During the build you’ll uncover interesting, novel LEGO building techniques that bring the tower’s architectural features to life in LEGO bricks. Once complete you can imagine the breathtaking feeling of standing at the top and looking across the rich history of the city of Paris. It is the perfect set for travel and architecture fans alike.”
The model measures: 58.5 in. (149 cm) high and separates into four sections to make it manageable to build, move and play with. It's highly detailed throughout, including beautiful truss-work, landscaping, elevators, an office at the top, a broadcast tower and a French flag at the peak.
10307 Eiffel Tower will be available from 25th November 2022 at LEGO.com.
You can view more images on the set details page.

It's very big...
incroyable
This thing is taller than me while I’m typing this (sitting on a chair). Just let that sink in.
It also has 10000 pieces and doesn’t cost 1000 bucks. I mean, it’s another ‘big cuz it’s big’ situation but I actually respect this, I think it’s an incredible feat if anything. Sure a MOCist can do this, but an actual LEGO product, abiding all the guidelines and stuff? Dang.
I think Lego should do a Seattle space needle, it's cooler then the Eiffel tower.
That looks absolutely amazing.
However, I only want two of the more expensive sets, and this isn't one of them, but for those who do want, I don't think they'll be disappointed. It's a lovely tribute to an architectural wonder.
This rendition of the Eiffel tower looks absolutely amazing! This is really my cup of tea, and I am looking very much forward to the review! I am curious about all the different building techniques.
However, I am on the fence on whether I will get this set because the price holds me back a little bit. I certainly don't think that the set is overpriced (given its scale and level of detail), but 630 euro is a lot of money to spend on a single set and there are other sets I still want to get. Display space is also starting to become issue. For now I will put the set on my wanted list and think carefully whether I want to pull the trigger on this one (a decision that also depends on what will be released in 2023).
By the way: it seems that the LEGO group is getting better and better at keeping a tight lid on new releases. I remember that pictures of the Colosseum and the Titanic leaked almost two months before their actual release date.
The price on Lego.com in the US is showing $679.99.
Such a beast! Though I can't imagine what they mean by "play with"..
At first I though "not for me". seeing the hires pics make me doubt this...
Also cool to see it sits on the much-maligned road plates!
Looks incredible but at the same time the real challenge will be to not make this the most boring build of all time. The repetition in this could be mind numbing. Will be interesting to see the review!
It looks better than I expected, and the base seems like a nice anchor / contrast to the tower, without unnecessarily padding the piece count (like Foosball Table or Hogwarts Express).
Seems like a very tedious building experience w/ all the diagonal trusses. Too bad they won't eschew historic architecture in favor of something more contemporary like a Zaha Hadid project - it would really reduce the repetition. But then few would buy it. But then again, not sure who is buying all of these $600 sets...
Doesn’t look like LEGO… and that’s a good thing! I’ll probably never get it, but this might be one of the most impressive models the company has done.

Not as memorable or widely known to the world
Incredible model; I'll buy it (maybe on Day 1) as I had missed the original more than a decade ago.
It's currently priced at €629.99, while the rumours pointed at a €679.99 price tag… I bet it's going to officially increase by Friday…
Looking forward to seeing it on display at my local Lego store. That should satisfy me well enough.
I personally have no room or desire for this one, but I’m sure a fair amount of folks will want it. It’s certainly a much better executed model than the hulkbuster abomination.
I do have to wonder how good the model would have looked at half this size. Might be a bit more approachable.
Oh my this looks so cool. It's too big and too expensive for me to ever but it but it's a fantastic rendition of the Eiffel tower and an amazing piece
It's not my time of set but i love it!!! Looks great and it's not SO expensive. Just compare 2 photos on the back of the box of the real and Lego model, and find 10 differences. I think the designers made an excellent work.
It's big, it's beautiful, and has some truly inspired design choices and parts usage. The designer has done some incredible work here!
That doesn't look to be at the same scale as Mr. Eiffel's apartment....that's disappointing ;-)
All jokes aside, this looks absolutely stunning! The level of detail is beyond anything I've ever seen from Lego, although considering the sheer size of this thing it's not that surprising. And I see some interesting parts usage. I wonder if the elevators can move?
And yes it is expensive, and even when the ppp seems reasonable, it will be lots and lots of tiny parts. That said, looking at what you get it doesn't really feel overpriced. Just like the Titanic this is Lego designers gone mad, creating the absolute best they could without being held back by reason, accountants or anything.
The sole reason I won't buy it is that I have no place to display it in a proper way....
People have space for this ?
It certainly looks impressive - as with all these types of sets that I will never own, I enjoy seeing them displayed in the Lego stores* - and has just enough visible studs so that it doesn't completely try to disguise that it's Lego.
However, it looks like it will be a very tedious and repetitive build. Perhaps, taking over that 'crown' from the Tower Bridge and Colosseum sets.
*though it might be too tall to be easily displayed there.
Totally amazing!!! I REALLY want this, but where on earth do I put it? I think I will end up not getting this simply because I have nowhere to put it. Awe and sadness at the same time... odd.
Needs a minifig with a beret and baguettes for optimal stereotypical appeal.
I think this set may have more than 1000 3 or 4 long bar pieces.
Omg!! This looks AMAZING! And cheaper than expected, good thing.
Who needs a Christmas tree when you can have the Eiffel Tower instead? Also, a glass cabinet display will be quite expensive for this, considering the size. It is really impressive lego build, but if you have cats, dogs or small children then such thing is a NO NO in your living space. That's quite a limitation for a lot of consumers imo.
I don't like the open studs showing on the edge of the structure. I think it should all have been tiled off. Also it makes it non-symmetric. Or does it represent something on the real thing.
I love how they have used roller coaster track pieces for the base arches.
10,001 pieces? Cheeky
Yeah I know it’s 4’8” and all that, but make a true minifig scaled one and I’d consider it… they could use the promo as a starting point.
@TheIronBadger said:

.... and Team America to destroy it! ;-)
Well this looks like one boring build.
I am noticing a lot of unsightly gaps in the structure. You would think that at this scale, they can fix that issue...
Also, the fact that the structure isn't curved, but shopped up in angeled pieces makes this an easy pass for me...
Looks great, but for 630 eddies I can take a flight to Billund, stay at the legoland hotel for a couple nights _and_ have money left to visit both legoland and the lego house.
Too expensive.
Does look good. Wouldn’t want it in my house though.
Everything about this is INSANE and I LOVE it. I'll be up at midnight 11/25.

It is gorgeous. Too big and too expensive for me, even though the price per piece is good.
Also, "The new LEGO set will immediately transport you to the heart of Paris" - - lawsuit incoming for false advertising : )
Magnifique! As a French guy, I can only be tempted to buy it... but where the hell to put it??

Never
I really want this set. It looks amazing. Don’t know how to cough up the money, but if i had such money i would buy this set
We know it's 4'8" tall... it would be useful to know how wide the base is!
yay what a nice model. Do I like it? Yeah. will I buy it? Naaah. unless lego will offer me a new living space to store all those HUGE sets they produce one after another after another xDDDD But afterall Very huge very expensive and very nice and very unaffordable for most.
Now they've done this, I really hope they do a 'London Eye' edition.
At this point collecting Lego might be one of the most expensive Hobbies...well I can afford buying this set easily but the thing is I also need new apartment at least 120 square meters

While a Zaha Hadid building would be amazing, I think Lego would be more likely to go for something Wright did instead, more widely know. Then again I doubt a large scale building of even his would be scaled up from those already in the architecture line. Hopefully we are more likely to get an Hadid building in the architecture line at some point, after they pivot off the current famous landmarks they have been producing, it would be a good challenge to build with Hadid enjoy curves in her designs.

Oh wow. Another massive set that will cost an organ and I’ll likely never be able to afford. How exciting....
It's impressive but based on size/cost (subjective of course: too big for me to put anywhere, too costly versus other things i'd like to buy) it'll be a pass.
Also, if was being particularly crass, based on my visits to the real one.. it's missing a little authenticity as there should be at least 20 microfigs underneath trying to sell a wide variety of dodgy tourist tatt.
l want this so bad but it's so expensive @_@

Orbital Elevator from Halo 2!
I'm not sure about this one. I don't quite see the point of the grass landscape underneath, though I admire the build.
If money was no object buy I think. At least I have my architecture set. Smaller, cheaper and fits anywhere.
Is this the beginning of Architecture XXXL series? How about yet another Burj Dubai and Empire State Building? Small and mid-size versions are already there (and old bricky large Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty).
I’ll wait for the Rush Hour 3 Special Edition with Jackie Chan minifig.

I'd love to see Tokyo Skytree at the same scale as this Eiffel Tower.....just need to make a hole in my roof :-)
Set 10307 should have 10307 pieces. That would be great!
i`ll ask my wife if we need a new coat hangar at the entrance. it would be the only way i could place this somewhere in my house.
@PixelTheDragon said:

My thought exactly.
Although this one is at least based on something with more cultural depth than the latest MCU movie or something.
And as a long time Lego fan this one is a bit nostalgic for me as it reminds me of the 2007 Eiffel Tower, set 10181. That set was huge too, but from a time when lego was only just starting to cater to AFOLs.
So at least this one seems a bit more in line with old Lego, back when sets like that were genuinely special.
Too big, too expensive and looks like a chore to build (too repetitive). That said it sure looks marvellous.
Wonder how much it will cost to Bricklink this?
Great set! Congrats to the designer(s). Have no space to display it and foremost i can't afford it. Additionally, it won't add significant value to a general city layout in my opinion. The range of sets launched are so vast - 700+ per year -, choices are hard to do, but this one is an easy pass for me. Waiting for City, Indiana, H.P., S.W., the Modular, Speed C., Creator, now then my anguish begin.
This is taller than my children. Granted, they’ll probably be taller once they finish growing. But still.
I don’t even know where I’d put this.
Absolutely superb! I knew from when I first saw the box art it would be a 'get it some time' set, but seeing the hi res pics I'm getting strong day one urges. Not too bad a price either... didn't really want the heating on this winter anyway!
I mean, yeah it's cool and all I guess, but ain't nobody got money and space for that. Like Jesus Christ, the world is stepping into a recession and this is the route Lego is taking?!
With all these large sets coming out we need a "No, I have no spot to put it" poll option.
This is the kind of set I would love to own one day, a true masterpiece. But seeing the stock image with the model building it... it's just too big. No idea where I would ever put it.
Definitely a good looking set. However, I’m certainly feeling the “too many too often”, where it seems a new, big set is being revealed each week. It’s kind of hard to get as excited as I normally would. But if that doesn’t impact sales (which I have no idea about), then I guess it doesn’t matter.

That would be cool, as would the earlier idea of a Space Needle, although neither of these are as iconic. We'll maybe the London Eye is by now, but guess we'll have to see if there is an ultra large creator expert set next year, which I'm assuming there will be. Who knows what it would be. But for now, I'm just marveling at this incredible feat of Lego engineering
No unique printed tile, come on?
Impressionant!
Certainly a lot better than the Legoland Windsor version
@Huw, the US price is wrong. According to LEGO.com, it's $680.
Ahahah... imagine building this.. pure torture

Thank you! I didn't zoom in on the box image, so didn't see that.
I love the design and I'm quite sure I will buy it. But where to put it?
I'll figure it out eventually, although I still have to create space for the Titanic as well...
Did anyone say "First World Problems"? XD
So here's the answer to the "Is Lego DC finished" article from the other day. I can't quite make out the Superman and Lois microfigs but I'm sure this Superman 2 set has them somewhere...right?
This is almost as tall as my mom!
@Yorick: They did, no it's nowhere near the scale of this one, 21003.

This might well be true - regrettably I have not been there yet and have not seen it - that said, the Eiffel tower is still significantly better known worldwide.
On that vein, I'd also very much like to see a CN tower (Toronto, CA) made at 1.5 meter high (more or less).
That Eiffel Tower 10307 is a MAJOR improvement from the previous one. The previous one had the general shape of it; this one seems like it is built exactly the same way. Very interested but CAD$800...? we'll see.
Another one...

They'll be taller once you finish building it.
I mean, Jesus LEGO.
Why does it have to be so damn big?!
They could've halved the size, halved the price, and it would've been accessible to so many more people!
This is just ridiculous.
This is the year when Lego decided to start selling amazing MOCs and large display pieces to the public. Lego need to take a step back and look at what they're creating.
A lot of the models in Legoland are excellent, but whether I could display them in my house...
@CCC said:
"Things can get too big."
That's what she said ;-)
Wonder what comes next...
Amazing, but as with plenty of bigger sets, just too expensive no matter how good the value may be (the tower appears to be rather good value though).
That is a very big and very expensive set that I will make sure to go admire in my local LEGO Store, because like the Coliseum and the other Stadiums sets, it lokks impressive but a hellishly tedious build experience that absolutely doesn't appeal to me...
It doesn’t show it on the box art but the buildable Iron Man actually fits inside.
With the frequent space shortages, maybe the time has come to forget the idea of building a Lego city in your spare room and just build a Legoland in your garden!
(Might have to factor in a frequent white brick replacement schedule though!)
Is there any info on the footprint of this thing?
Looks good, but I can only imagine this build would be incredibly repetitive and boring.
Not for me.
It's so huge, the engineering on it is lovely. I love it, but I don't have the money, the time, or the space for this thing.
Come on Lego, where is people supposed to put this?!? I would buy a 60cm version in a heartbeat, but this is just ridicolous.
@Waksplat said:
"Is there any info on the footprint of this thing? "
Mad idea: have you considered reading other comments before commenting...?
Price seems to be $849.99CAD, not $799.
Poll needs a "No, It's just too big" option. Looks amazing, price isn't actually terrible, but we literally have no space for it.
@Waksplat said:

As with 10307, larger sets usually have build dimensions illustrated on the box. Just zoom in on the box image at the top of this article. Also, you can look at the "lifestyle" images provided by LEGO to see how this beast compares to an adult human being (and his table).
For those saying it's 4' 8" tall... It's actually slightly over 4' 10.5" tall. An easy mistake to make when imperial and metric are mixed (i.e. it being 4.8 feet tall).
This is going to be an amazing focal point in my LEGO city :D
Aligning all of those trusses looks like an absolute nightmare…
I know I'm in the minority here, but this looks extremely dull. Give me the pre-fire Notre Dame instead!
The UCS Falcon is getting cheaper all the time.
This is a beautiful set and worthy of the high price. I can't say the same for recent reveals.
The size of it...!
This puts me in mind of Victor Hugo (author, Les Misérables, Hunchback of Notre-Dame and much more) who lived in Paris when the Eiffel Tower was built. Every day he would eat at the restaurant in the tower because, he apparently said, it's the only place he could eat in Paris without having to look at the thing....!
I imagine there are many, many AFOLS who may wish to build this but would not have enough space to display it without it filling their view where-ever they place it!
I like the look of it and would like to get but have no idea where I would display it as likely to be heavy so the shelves won’t take it. Need to save up a bit as well with the price.
@Brainslugged said:

...and ours is the only country in the world where that's a thing! At least in the US they're consistent with using nonsense-units, but we love having one foot in the ancient past and one foot in the 20th century.
Two planes of symmetry, four identical 2500 pieces sides with many similar elements... IMO, repetitive as hell...
Beauty, yes, but doesn't seem fun. Easy pass for me.
BTW, will you be buying this set?
~70% of 1600 responses already at "No, ..."
@Yorick said:

You must be from Seattle, because you'd have to be on dope to believe the Space Needle is cooler than the Eiffel Tower.
Not much to add here that hasn't already been said. Too rich (and large) for my blood but it's certainly an impressive model. IMO the subject matter, like the Titanic, warrants a model of such grand scale but it becomes a limiting factor in terms of affordablity and displayability. Looking forward to the review(s) though...I'm assuming it may be a tedious & repetitive build.
That truss work is INCREDIBLE. Fantastic use of parts all around.
Don't really have the space or budget for this, but dang if they didn't make the best possible version of this that they could. It's a sight better than the 2007 version, that's for sure!
I think I finally understand what TLG has been thinking: we will all have our own LEGOLANDs at home :).
Alas, I am already struggling with space available for my display sets.

I've wandered around my house looking for display space this morning. Fortunately, I have found some and will build a display base for it. I'm excited about seeing the building techniques, as well.
We need a new option:
( ) Yes, as soon as it's released
( ) Yes, eventually
( ) Maybe, I haven't made up my mind yet
( ) No, it doesn't interest me
( ) No, it's too expensive
( ) No, but I like it
(x) No, I don’t have room for it
That whole thing is held in place but just 16 clips. Pretty nice engineering
It's fabulous and iconic. But who really needs an Eiffel Tower the size of an 11-year-old sitting in their house?
Just like Jurassic Park, they only thought about if they could and not whether they should. ;-)
So far the Eiffel Tower has been painted in 8 different colours plus an even more golden shiny brown for the Paris 2024 Olympic. But it has never been gray. It's super beautiful I most say though.
OK, it's big. We get it Lego, you won, you have the biggest p...roduct.
Can't wait for the 7 meters long "UCS great wall of China" next year.
US store page has revised the price down to $629.99.
I haven't bought anything for ages. I mean 5-8 seven years.
This is however one of the 3 sets that I will get eventually (with Titanic and the Falcon).
Looks great, price is reasonable given the size. I remember seeing a metal replica of the tower in its gift store years ago. It was smaller than this and very expensive.
1. Okay, this build is GORGEOUS.
2. But them forgetting to capitalize 'Tower' on the box front is irking me to no end.
I remember buying the previous big Eiffel Tower on sale at Amazon for $123.99 in December of 2008!
Still on display in my living room, (although cleaning it is a pain).
How times and prices have changed!
Enough grey for a Star Wars B Model.
I love my old 10181-1 version from 2007, but my it was tedious to build, and that was for ~3400 pieces. This is 3x the piece count..........
It looks as great as i've imagined it. If only the ground floor was build in minifig scale it would have been perfect.
I want that thing, and I can afford it.
I don’t really have room for it or want to build it.
Wonder which side will win…
I can't wait to visit any friends who buy this (casually starts moving all the cross beaming just a smudge...)
It's an impressive model but it's genuinely too big. Even LEGO's own promo shots highlights this, one of them feature it standing on the floor and another standing on a coffee table that is dwarfed by it. It's almost to the point that you'd need a custom built display to be able to do it any justice, and even if you did that it'd still probably look completely out of place and out of scale in most homes.
Something about the perfectly straight outer edges is really off-putting to me - the subtle curve would have been difficult to replicate, but without it, I genuinely can't look at this model and go "That looks really good". I'm sorry Lego, it just doesn't look right.
Does this set come with a B model? :)
Not for me, seems straight out of an exhibition. I would go for a smaller Las Vegas Eiffel Tower done in an Apocalypseburg style.
Looks amazing yet inevitably repetitive. I wonder whether they have sized the price down to €630 because the price increase for the Titanic is not a success (even though it is still sold out all the time).
Also: a lot of the pieces are bars and connectors. Is it still ‘real’ Lego since these are non studded parts.
All those cross beams looks like an absolute chore to build.
ZUT ALORS!

Lego doesn't own Halo, Mega Bloks does.
What a great looking set. The price seems pretty on spot for the size too.
But I won't buy it.
I can't bring myself to spend that amount of money on a Lego set. There's so much else I can buy for that money that'll give me more enjoyment, time-wise.
Apart from that, I would have no idea where to put it when it's finished.
All that huge scale and they can't put Le Jules Verne restaurant in the second level?
Nevermind. I just saw updated pics of the place and it looks like they "modernized" it. Now, it's too white. It used to look like the inside of a zeppelin.
How about adding a "No, because I have nowhere to put it" option for some of these bigger sets?
Interesting that the structure appears to be bricks on hinges, rather than a Technic design.

Me too. Not so much because I necessarily want (or can afford) a Statue of Liberty (though, I wouldn’t decline it if given to me, either), but because I want LEGO to produce 1x8 bricks in sand green again so that they come down in price on Bricklink.

They just did a Statue of Liberty in 2018, so it will be awhile before that happens again. set 21042 can still be bought direct from Lego.

Also if anyone is not buying this because of space restrictions: just bring it over, I have the space, but even thought it seems worth the price, I'm not sure about spending the bucks for it...

Me too. Not so much because I necessarily want (or can afford) a Statue of Liberty (though, I wouldn’t decline it if given to me, either), but because I want LEGO to produce 1x8 bricks in sand green again so that they come down in price on Bricklink."
They just did a Statue of Liberty in 2018, so it will be awhile before that happens again. set 21042 can still be bought direct from Lego."
Also, according to the designer interview on New Elementary (which I'd highly recommend for anyone curious about the set or who has questions about some of the design choices), this is actually to scale with that set! I never really realized how much the Eiffel Tower dwarfs it!
Tremendous achievement by LEGO. Fabulous model.
You know with the color, would’ve been fun to have micro models of all the colors the tower has been through the years the size of the one in Gustave’s apartment as a side build.

Many years ago, I had a chance stopover in New York on the way to visit family; from atop a (now tragically absent) skyscraper at the south of Manhattan I was shocked to be able to see Lady Liberty in all her glory...
so smol
I think this looks amazing from a distance but close up it looks a bit… unfinished? Where are the buildings on the 1st and second floors? They aren’t just exposed floors. And why don’t the beams all connect across?
I feel I should be the target market for this - my son is obsessed with the Eiffel Tower (he’s already been to the top twice), I spend too much on Lego, but it is so huge and on close inspection a bit disappointing that the only reason I feel bad about missing out is because I’d like to get the apartment GWP!

I'm not from Seattle, but have been on top of both towers....and dare I say I'm with Yorick here?
Well, the whole world already thought we Dutch are high all the time anyway :-)

I also think the Space Needle is cooler, just not as iconic. Also only been up the Space Needle, but have seen both towers at day and night. Also, The Eiffel Tower certainly doesn't have a revolving restaurant at the top, which automatically helps the space needle in the coolness factor :)

In that case, Lego should make a set of the Ryugyong Hotel.....which was supposed to have five revolving restaurants! Now how cool is that! Luckily Lego doesn't have to include a motor, as I doubt that was ever installed in the real thing....and otherwise you could always blame the lack of movement on just another power outage ;-)
interesting to see grey roller coaster tracks...

Well, dark grey—light grey was already available in earlier sets.
This is fantastic looking, though I question how the build experience will be due to all the symmetry and sheer number of pieces--it feels like it could be quite repetitive. However, they're probably also using some interesting techniques within that may make it better.
If I had an actual affinity to Paris or the Eiffel Tower, I'd probably be all over this, but I don't (visited it, but that's about the extent) since it does look so great, not that I'd have a place to display it--not that that has ever stopped me before.

It's just a magnificent tribute to france and to this city of love that is Paris.
Purchased from day one !
Actually looking forward to this one. Was visually mapping out space in my layout for it. Also be cool to do the underneath lookup up shot that's shown as I've done that at the real thing. :)
Just hoping all the VIP GWP are available with this. Along with the apartment. Have a great day
I voted "No, but I like it" because, while the price doesn't feel excessive for what you get, it's still way more than what I would ever spend on a single LEGO set.
Plus I already have a Puzz3D version of the Eiffel Tower that is a similar size, and I don't need two versions of the same landmark, no matter how famous or beautiful it might be.
Too big (heck, it's less than a foot shorter than I am!) and too expensive.
As of late, I think LEGO is just doing big for big's sake.

"I mean, yeah it's cool and all I guess, but ain't nobody got money and space for that. Like Jesus Christ, the world is stepping into a recession and this is the route Lego is taking?!"
It almost seems like a concerted effort by the mad lads and lasses in the design team to push the boundaries of what a retail set can be before it all becomes unviable.
So, so many bars, bar holders with clips and Kylo's lightsaber hilts!

I never realized how much taller the Eiffel Tower was compared to Lady Liberty. That's amazing.
I still want 1x8 bricks in sand green, though. ;-(
At that rate I may as well save that $600 or so for a plane ticket to Paris.
Whoever forgot to tell the designer about the piece seperator is getting fired
My previous comment just vanished into thin air, and no my session didn't time out, I give up. Anyway absolutely stunning. This is when Lego should be big and expensive, well done!
I am amazed people actually will buy this. Why?
Not only it's the tallest set, it's also the largest set (in terms of piece count of course) excluding the world map.
Anyway, it's way too big and too expensive (although the price per piece count isn't that bad). Would be better if it's half the size and half the price.
But still glad that now there are 4 sets that are bigger than the bigger Star Wars set. Before SW has either the biggest or second biggest (keep taking turns) Lego set.
Too big, Too expensive, too gray, looks boring to build.
I guess someone, somewhere will buy and build this thing but this is near the bottom of my list of sets I'd ever want. Even if I were given this for free I wouldn't build it.
Seeing someone have an advanced copy and speed build it, they did it very sloppy.
Seems like this is a kit you gotta' pay attention with alignment. Since alot of the crossbeams, etc. only have one connection point.
So it's something to bare in mind. If it's not aligned properly, it does look like a mess.
When building looks like you can't go fast. Line up each part before attaching to the larger section and then adjust and fiddle with it to get it right.
Need to refer to the instruction and pics often I feel.
Hope that doesn't become a chore and hopefully gravity will hold them in place over time. Especially ones just attached to single clips.
I'm worried about that.
Is it a yoke?
This set shows the new goals of LEGO Company. It is "squeeze all possible money out of people".
Oversized, overpriced stuffs, and licensed/branded lines are not mentioned yet :(
For example: I wish Home Alone, Galaxy Explorer and some Ninjago City sets, but I can not afford me. I know, prices depends on materials' price, logistics, energy, etc. but I am shocked .
Where is the poll option for No, it’s too big to fit in my house?
this is not for home... for a store maybe. but it is ridiculously too huge for a normal home. too expensive and it is easy to make great looking set with that many pieces and so big.
Sounds like a great architectural set.
Will not buy it, but definitely download instruction to analyze. Construction seems extremely lightweight for such sizes. Amazed if all this structure is really held only by 16 "holder" connections in the base.
Its a very good looking set and very well designed from the look of it.... Being English though, I'd much rather have a brick built Blackpool Tower.

Buy this set, only build the top half; voilà: Blackpool Tower!
(...true story.)
Trying to figure out the dimensions of the base, looks like 3'x3' which is a considerable footprint to account for.
Would love it, can't afford it, don't know if I would have the space for it.
It Is Time That Lego did an icon Lego For the CN Tower in Toronto, As It Is a major Landmark in Canada.
I only want this set if it comes with an underground intra-dimensional rocket like in the movies Tomorrowland!

The base is 22" x 22". Height about 4' 10".
My kids (6 and 11) couldn't/wouldn't believe this build is taller than them...
I voted 'No, but I like it' and I do like it, but it also baffles me somewhat. Who is this for? You can't really display it anywhere in a normal house(hold), seems quite tedious to build (or rebuild) and does cost lots of Euros. The Eiffel Tower is a pretty cool building, but who loves it that much to give up half a room for it? It will probably end up on display in a few Parisian stores, but I doubt you'll see it anywhere in a 'normal' setting in a few years time.
Fantastic.
And that's just the price.
Sorry, once again there's only a limited few who will be able to afford this. It would actually be cheaper to have a family holiday to see the real thing.
Mine arrived this morning. Hope I ordered the right thing... The box doen't seem very big. 40568
Compare the pair 2022 10307 10,001 pieces $999.99au 778 brickset members want.
2007 10181 3,428 pieces bricklink asking price $1,700 /$5,400au 4,887 brickset members want.
I know a bargain when I see one.
The pool for such sets should indlude:
'No, I want it but it is to big.'

I'm not quite sure what point you're trying to make by comparing the statistics on a set that came out 15 years ago to one that was literally just revealed in the last week. How many of those 4,887 members who added 10181 to their wanted lists do you think are even still active on this site?

I think he's just trying to point out that sets seem expensive until you look at the resale prices for old sets- which are even higher. I suppose that's exactly what Lego wants us to do.
I do like this set. But, it is crazy. Does that make me crazy?

literally point 2 inches from my older sister's height
It looks awesome and I feel the price is OK for this amount of bricks, but I have some thoughts. Usually a big set is like 3-4ct/pc for retailers. They cut the retailer out, so even though the price is OK, this is 50% pure profit or more!
Second thought is it looks flimsy. I will definitely wait with buying till the first cow-tipping videos for this set on Tik Tok have been made.
Third: the arches at the bottom are really CRINGE. This demands a modification. Would a curved track brick fit? Those from ancient blue track LEGO trains?

If it comes with Dr Evil, Mini Me, Number two, Scott, Frau Farbissina and nude kitten minifigs and a swappable Star Bucks logo, yes it will be cooler than a tower with a Dutch flag on its side.
I will wait for building instructions...
It seems NOT a Lego product, lacks in quality and this is a big problem.
