Brown Astronaut!!!! .... and Baby Astronaut :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Heh. I think the Brown Astronaut and Spacebaby is perhaps the cutest thing I've ever seen. :-)

Gravatar
By in Austria,

Space-Benny-Baby!!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I refuse to believe the space baby isn't inspired by among us

Gravatar
By in United States,

Everything is awesome!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I LOVE all of them!!!!!!!

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

Brown astronaut and baby astronaut !!!
... and the Falconer
... and the rockin' horse
... and the koala

Gravatar
By in Austria,

So much better than the last series.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

This is a top notch series.

Gravatar
By in United States,

What...LEGO didn't jack the price up to $5.99/each? I'm genuinely shocked!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Amazing, what a great line up.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Scrolling down...ah the Falcon is neat...wait, Cassic Space Baby!?!!

Lots of fun figures, but they are all going to be over shadowed by that baby. Just like real life I guess.

Can't wait to see the mini-ship MOCs with junior pilots.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

OH, YES! ALL OF THEM!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Falconer! Koala!! Space Baby!!!

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I need the newsies kids, the space person, and a bunch of falconers. What a bunch of winners in this set!
The dual molded legs in the falconer, plus the chain and cape, are just so good. I'm guessing there's no quiver, sadly, but I think that is in production so it can be acquired. And the hair is real nice! Can't wait to find some of those!

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

This might be the best original CMF lineup in years!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Ah man, the orc would've been a perfect companion to the Ninjago dungeons line! Couple years too late though, sadly. Still, if people have some of those sets left this will be a fantastic addition!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The rocking horse girl appears to be the same character from 60287, although I'm at a bit of a loss for what purpose this generic, nameless character's cameo serves. I think I would have rather had some new elements/prints.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Excellent lineup, very strong. I can see people hoarding dozens of the brown astronauts and falconers.

Gravatar
By in United States,

OH. MY. FREAKING. GOD!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

That's a _lot_ of brown and earthy colors! Absolutely getting the astronaut and carrot ones!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Still in foil bags? Never mind ay!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

So is the Orc a precursor to what might appear in the upcoming D&D set next year? Hopefully we get some other common monsters in minifigure/BigFig form.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Love the hat on the newspaper kid and the Spacebaby gets cuter every time I look at it

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Robot Warrior has one of the most unusual color schemes I've seen, it's borderline hypnotizing...

Awesome lineup, love the orc's lower jaw piece!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Classic Space baby for the win!

But why does the potter have leaves in her hair?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

one of the best sets so far much better than the last

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Classic Space!
also Black Falcons.
Orc is decent as well

Gravatar
By in Poland,

One of the strongest lineups since a while!

Gravatar
By in United States,

yes brown spaceman

Gravatar
By in Italy,

Aside from the surprisingly few - only 2, this time around - costume minifigures (I just can't see the beauty in them, but I'm certainly not their target-customer), Series 24 is by no doubt way better than the last one and arguably the best of the 12-figure era.

The Aristocrat and the Potter will certainly enhance storytelling creativity; the Falconer and the Conservationist with their great animal-friends are a double treat; not enough words to describe the cuteness of the Spacebaby; Robot Warrior and Orc will surely be welcome by my boys.

But what really brings it home for me are the Football Ref and the Newspaper Kid, the latter winning first prize.

Will buy on day one.

Right? I love some of the other figures but I would not complain in the slightest if I ended up with a couple of those to add to some of my space scenes. The printing looks incredible, on (I presume) all sides of the legs and arms!
I bet with some Friends parts I could even build a ship in that color scheme...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh man.

Brown astronaut and space babies!!! That’s a must-have if I’ve ever seen them.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Love these. The only thing I might add for the T-Rex is a cup of water. Or a…

Goat!

@SinKiller_Nick said:

That's a head scarf, not her hair.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

A Koala, Rex disguise, the Roccoco Aristrocrat, the Potter, man these need to be in regular sets after a while.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Getting a strong Transformers vibe from Robot Warrior's head.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I love that we have Jane Goodall and now Steve Irwin. I believe there's one close enough to Bob Ross, and now we just need Levar Burton, Fred Rogers, and David Attenborough.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

Steve Irwin fig

Gravatar
By in Mauritius,

Superb selection.
Hawk!

Though apostrophe missing on Carrot Mascot’s sign?!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Impressive!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Dang! This is the first series in a hot minute where many of the minifigs interest me! Love this!

Gravatar
By in United States,

One of these characters reminds me a lot of Steve Irwin.

Gravatar
By in United States,

ORCS!!!

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

Best series ever?

Best series ever.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This has to be the weakest Minifigure series yet. I know they've been running out of ideas for a while now, but most of these are so bland and forgettable.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow! Great series!!!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Very good series. Far superior to the current one in my opinion, but it probably just appeals more to my taste

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

WAAAAAGH!

That is all.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Potter? Doesn't even have glasses.

Gravatar
By in United States,

meh meh meh, that's Steve Irwin!, neat, SPACEMAN with baby Benny! :'D !

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Yes yes yes, for the first time in a long time I want all of them. I can see having 10 or 15 Falconers to go in everyone's lion Knights castles. Also SPACEBABY and another spaceman colour but SPACE BABY.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love these! My personal favorite is probably the newsboy; I'm curious to see which ones my kids gravitate to!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don’t have the Queen from the early series to compare, but it looks like the Rococo Aristocrat’s footprint is 2x4. Is that a new mold?

Gravatar
By in United States,

All of these are great, and I love getting more potential D&D figures (orc and falconer/ranger)

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Why does a newspaper kid need a slingshot?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The space baby may be the next Mr. Gold.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This series looks fantastic! The only partial dud in my opinion is the rocking horse girl. The costumes are quite acceptable, and the T Rex reminds me of those inflatable costumes. The carrot costume also has dual molded dark green and black legs! I'm probably going to pick up two of the falconer figures since I don't have any black falcons yet, as well as a brown astronaut, at least one orc and possibly the newsboy. I wonder how many newsies MOCs we will get now...

This coming year is already starting to look expensive, and we haven't seen Indiana Jones, LotR, or Disney's 100th anniversary sets. Let alone the usual Star Wars I buy.

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

Orc and the Newspaper Kid. Those are the only two figures I want. I'm all for Classic Space stuff but Brown Astronaut or Baby Astronaut is not what I need or want.

Ok, that makes sense . . . thanks.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are all fantastic!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely going to pick up one T-Rex costume guy for my son and one for me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They'll still be packed in foil bags?!? I’M IN!!!

I’m always going to get Classic Space figs, but are people actually excited that he is *brown* or just that he’s available in a new color? I would have preferred almost any other color for a Classic Space fig. Love the baby!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Orc and Falconer! also the Football Referee Looks pretty good

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Is that a new cap on newspaper boy?
And who will be the first to MOC a sewage accident in space with that brown spaceman?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Clearly the brown Spaceman’s duty assignment is changing diapers.

Gravatar

@dimc said:

I NEED an official Mr. Rogers for my Neighborhood Trolley MOC! I have a custom fig, but that doesn't really cut it. (I also had to make a Daniel Tiger fig too, because kids today really have no clue who Mr. Rogers is, sadly. They only know the animated show "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood")

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Come on, Robot Warrior is obviously the best.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm going to have to just buy a box to get them all. The first time ever. NOT an incentivised review!

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are great! The team working on this line continue to knock it out of the park on fun concepts and great designs.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are great!

That horse girl has to be one of the worst they’ve done though. Reused generic head (reused asset in CMF is never good..) and they refuse to make that hair in other colors for a CMF..

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well... I was not going to buy any more CMF other than the licensed ones if they interested me...but I think I will pick this one up and try to get a couple extra of a couple of some of the figs.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Well can say this'll be instantly ruffled to death with people looking for the Brown and baby spaceman set. Heck, I want it causes its just damn cute!

My favourites though are the Robot Warrior and the Orc.

@PurpleDave said:
"Clearly the brown Spaceman’s duty assignment is changing diapers."

Clearly he knew to wear the brown pants....

Gravatar
By in United States,

Igloo, They really need a One of Everything Box option for CMFs. Cheaper than a normal box, but less items to resell.

Supplements to existing factions is welcome.

I'll make it a Roller Skating Robot Warrior!

The Orc looks to be a champion of the Trolls.

As the redhead goes, so goes my nation!

They need to release green classic space helms on PaB so we can upgrade our 21109 Exo Suit figs to be consistent with the rest the M&Ms (Pretty sure Skittles doesn't have brown).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hoping for a groovy print under the carrot costume but suspect it will be the usual green dungarees.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I feel that overall this is a phenomenal series. I especially like the Robot Warrior, Brown Astronaut, T. Rex Costume, Orc, and Conservationist.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This series was made for our family! :)

My daughter LOVES koalas. My son LOVES t-rexes. I LOVE the Falconer and the Brown (?!) Spaceperson + Spacebaby. Army building time.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I'm not a minifig collector, but I really like these! Especially Brown astronaut & spacebaby (who doesn't?) and Robot Warrior (although I could have done without the bright green and pink). But most of the other ones are pretty good too.

I just can't help but wondering why that referee wasn't included in the football table set. So much better than the figs in that set....

Gravatar
By in Jordan,

This is a solid series. My favourite is the Falconer, but there's a lot to like here.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Pink!!! Finally!!! After what feels like forty repeated shades directly avoiding it for the series color!

I need the Aristocrat. Her wig is great. I thought her skirt had been discontinued after its only previous use on the S15 Queen!

The Orc is a great fantasy figure and the new technique of jaw additions looks nice.

Brown astronaut. That is pandering and it is working. I need one.

Gravatar

My three favourites too :~)

@vzarmo said:

My guess is so you have the option of a newspaper boy or a street urchin. The minifigure is depicted with both so you can see the accessories but the idea is you use one or the other.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Still foil bags? Or will these be the first in cardboard?

Love quite a few of the extras. Especially the koala piece and the baby spaceman

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Falconer! Orc! Newspaper kid! Astronaut baby! Wow!!!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Very good bunch of minifigs in this upcoming CMF series!
I like them all very much, except for the football referee, who I don't care much for. The yellow shirt, instead of black and white vertical stripes, is such an unfortunate choice, but maybe it is more accurate to what football referees usually wear nowadays. I am not a football fan so what do I know?! Though I don't have a Lego football, so I still want that fig too.

The robot warrior with roller-skates used for his weapon is clever.
Yup! I need to collect all of these.

Gravatar
By in Mexico,

WOAH! Such a strong minifig series!! It's been a while since there was a good one..!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hey, only two costumed minifigs this time. I LOVE that koala and falcon!

Can you really army build space babies? Terrifying indeed

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Available for pre-order at JB Spielwaren. If you buy a full box of 36, you currently also get a limited chrome blue Classic Spaceman (250 Units available).
I might actually take them up on that offer.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well they certainly know who their fans are... been a while since I've added a CMF to my wishlist, but obviously the spaceman (and spacetot!) are going on the list.

Gravatar
By in Venezuela,

the Brown Astronaut and Baby Benny

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely getting the Orc! I'd army build, but these figures being $5 a pop puts me off.

Yes. And yes. Koala army vs. spacebaby army. Until they are all eaten by falcons and/or t-rexes.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still waiting for the Purple Classic Spaceman.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That said, the Falconer is by far and away my favourite here. Definitely to see if I can find her, if I see this series on sale anywhere ^^

We're just about there! I think you can take a recent CMF torso, swap the arms and legs, then use the air tanks and helmet from an upcoming CNY set to make a complete purple spaceperson. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes. The Alien Creature CMF has the torso and the Chinese New Year Parade set has the helmet and tanks. The only two new-colored torsos that don't have the new retro helmet for making complete faux-Classic figures are the grey torso from the Rocket Boy CMF and the green ones from the Exo-Suit.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Best series in quite some time. Unlike recent series where I skip a couple, this is a set where I must buy all of them!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh wow, this is the CMF series I've been waiting for. Want 11/12 and multiples of several. I was worried they'd run out of gas on the last one. And the threat of boxes threatened to ruin this product line, so I'm glad to see a reprieve here.

Also, the classic theme pandering is working. More please!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@GrizBe:
It has air tanks and a helmet. It’s a whole brown hazmat suit.

@rahlmaclaren:
Unless you’re buying some sort of seasonal variety, or from one of the rare bulk dispensaries that have every color of the rainbow, M&M’s don’t come in purple, and neither come in pink.

@captainpie:
Maybe it’s like tribbles…

Gravatar
By in United States,

I need A LOT of those Brown Astronauts. ...but I'll be lucky to find one since I know EVERYONE ELSE will be taking them.

Normally there's only 1/4 or 1/2 of the batch that interest me. This time it's ALL OF THEM except maybe 1 or 2. I'll definitely have to order a full box of these.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Am I the only one bothered the baby has white's in its eyes which clash with the classic face?

Gravatar

I've been hoping The Lego Group would make a Spacebaby for years!! So excited!!

Black and white stripes? In which century was that? :-)

I've been watching football for almost 40 years, but all I can remember was traditionally all black, and from the '90s on different colors, of which I'd say yellow is the most common nowadays.

Gravatar

I think it's a hair wrapping.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The first few on the list were just okay but then BAM, BAM, BAM... This is why I love CMF. :o) Unfortunately, I'm likely out when they move to boxes.

They could have just made the eyes smaller and without reflections to match the proportions of the classic face. It'd make the figure much funnier and more plausibly retro to not have infant facial proportions.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Best wave for an unlicensed minifigure series in a few years. There's actually quite a few in here I wouldn't mind getting.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

This may be best series since 10.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

The newspaper boy screams `Titanic disaster, great loss of life`! GREAT series!!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

After the mediocre Series 23, this one is in full power! I love it, and will get the whole series from a seller (rather pay a bit more, and not waste money on duplicates and gas). The brown space dude will be in high demand, I'm sure of that.

Gravatar
By in Costa Rica,

Another robot-space-alien-thing, really?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm definitely gonna bricklink 20+ orcs. I haven't seen any mystery figs in the wild for a month, they don't make enough...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Genuinely great lineup, pulling on the 80's with classic space logo and classic knight logo's

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Easily the greatest LEGO minifigure series of ALL TIME!!! I want all of them! LEGO minifigures these days seem to come up with that one batch that you don't want, but for this, A minifig masterpiece!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

We need a Star Wars and Ninjago minifig series!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I like most of the minifigures in this series, overall great lineup. One thing I keep wondering though is why does Lego continuously use freckles in kids faces? In my opinion it would be more interesting to explore other options to portrait boys / girls faces, they do it sometimes in sets based on IPs so why not do it more in Lego City, Collectable Minifigures and other themes?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I will be buying all of these

Gravatar
By in Romania,

Love almost all of them.

Oh yeah, black shirt etc. you're right. What do I know, football bores me to death. If they went for all black attire, it still wouldn't have been a very exciting minifig, at least IMO.
Most of the other figures are very good though.

Been a while since I've wanted them all because I love them all, not just for collecting them all... Great series!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Great set. The animals, space, and orc are the highlights for me. I have enjoyed all the different costumes, but I'm glad they're down to just a couple. More slots for other ideas.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Gotta grab the referee, her hair is perfect for Dedra from Andor. Spaceman is also perfect! Really don’t care for the rocking horse girl though.

SPACECRIB!

Gravatar

Gravatar
By in United States,

So glad to get another spaceman color. In the past few years we've gotten green, light blay, pink, orange and purple along with reissues of red, white, yellow and Benny. Brown would have never been on my wishlist of colors for CS figs but I'm glad we are getting another color.

Lime was the first color to pop in my head for the next CS fig. Maybe dark red, dark blue or dark green?

Thank you LEGO for continuing to make CS figs!

Coral...? In all seriousness, perhaps dark bley? I guess that's a bit boring, but they have covered all of the major colors already. Maybe one of the lighter blues or azurs. I feel like they would go that direction before dark green, red, or blue.

I'm not crazy about it though. I'd rather those color choices you suggested but regardless, like you said, great they keep making Classic Spacemen.
And a baby-Benny...so cute!

I dig the Orc Warrior, Newsboy, Robot Alien, Marie Antoinette, rocking horse element, koala element, and of course Brown Astronaut and Space-baby!

By in United Kingdom,

I’m in the middle of building a modified 40516 Everyone is Awesome with classic space guys. Brown is my missing colour, so this wonderful for me!

My take I. The set is as follows:
- replace bright green with regular green
- replace light blue with light bley
- wait for Lego to release a brown space man, of wait, what, they actually did that!!??!

Sound like I will finish in January.

I’m also adding an extra row of figures, to let me have classic space and Neo classic space in separate rows.

A proper Aussie animal in LEGO? Shut up and take my money please LEGO (for multiple copies of that koala that is)
So many other useful things as well (as a fan of the Disney movie Newsies, I gotta get me a few of those newspaper kids for sure)

By in France,

I'm with most of you. All are pretty solid, and it might be the first time in a long time that I want the entire series.

I was thinking of which classic colors weren't yet used for a classic space minifig YESTERDAY.

best series in years I think

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Orc is looking good, and I NEED that Falconer. Cool mini with a cool birb, will go great with some other black falcons.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is one of the best series yet. I love every figure in this series (unlike the previous series which was too niche… only 32% of the world celebrates Christmas).

Unless it farmers plural not ownership.

I'm still waiting for missing couples, like mime girl, mariachi girl, magician's assistant, clown girl, doctor, groom, jungle girl, hippie girl, roman girl, wild west girl, prince, etc.

newspaper kid and orc... maybe falconer... I stopped collecting complete series when they started to focus to much (to my taste) on costumes and specialized themes..

Gravatar

That isn't a space baby, those are the aliens from the Corbomite Maneuver!

Those are pretty good, I would add Bride of Frankenstein, Bride of Dracula and a Nosferatu (guy and gal).

The Bride of Frankenstein is the biggest gap in the monster characters, for sure...and she might be in the public domain? I can't find conclusive proof, but the Bride's image may not be tightly copyrighted like I assumed. If it is, though, then that easily explains why LEGO hasn't ever made a minifigure of the character.

Bride of Dracula was kind of done with the Vampyre's Bride and we have quite a few female vampires now. A Count Orlok figure could be interesting, but he never had a female counterpart so it wouldn't make as much sense for LEGO to make one.

Technically it should be Farmers’ Market… as the farmers is plural (a market for multiple farmers) but as it is “theirs” then it’s possessive so the apostrophe should be after the s as it’s farmers’s market… so second s is dropped

So really is whether the market is owned by multiple farmers or is just somewhere they convene en masse… https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/is-there-an-apostrophe-in-farmers-market-punctuation-possessive

Irrespective… CMF24 is epic… !

Incredible how they keep churning out such wonderful CMF's. I find reddish brown a really strange space color, yet very original. So many must haves in this series!

@ForestMenOfEndor:
We’ll never be able to make a purple Spaceman. Purple was retired several years ago. But you can soon make a dark-purple Spaceman.

@Yooha:
Those are pretty much boilerplate responses, at this point. It doesn’t matter what the basic theme is, every CMF series has been called both. Even S1 was, by default, since anyone who claimed S2 was the best when it released was implying that S1 was the worst of the pair.

@biffuz:
The biggest non-transparent gaps, I’d say, are old-light-grey, old-dark-grey, old-brown, dark-bley, tan, purple (not dark-purple), and medium-blue (which predates the use of blue). Four of those colors are permanently retired, though. Oh, and any type of GitD would be infinity kinda of awesome. Pearl colors would be pretty cool, too. With dark-purple, there’s a chance we could see dark-blue, dark-red, dark-green, or dark-orange.

@Librarian1976:
Coincidentally, the portion of the world that celebrates Christmas (which is larger than the portion that is Christian) has considerable overlap with the portion that buys LEGO sets. There’s an uncontacted tribe in the Brazilian rainforest that does neither, but I doubt they’re upset by the heavy focus on holiday minifigs in S23.

I’m not familiar with this tradition, but I shop at Meijer, not a greengrocer. In addition to a full grocery section that, pre-pandemic, used to include a live lobster tank, Meijer has one of the best LEGO aisles following the TRU bankruptcy.

By in United States,

That Football Referee is freaking AMAZING!!!! I am a young referee (primarily I’ve reffed basketball, but football is my favorite sport) and am so hyped to get this minifigure!!! Maybe we’ll get some other referee type of minifigures in the future.

The classic space minifigure is epic also!

A really well done series in total. I am most pleased!

I know the Universal make-ups/designs were copyrighted/trade marked, I don't know it they still are. I would be okay with a semi-generic bride. There are a few female vampires; I am okay with more!
The comic book company Asylum Press has a female vampire in the Count Orlok tradition (and a heavy dose of eroticism), and I am sure there have been others in TV and movies, but none as the star or directly linked to Orlok.

@Ridgeheart:
Ah. In the US, the majority of people probably never shop at a greengrocer, and a huge chunk of the population pluralizes with an apostrophe (and persistently mixes up homonyms, and persistently spells commonly used words wrong, and…), so nobody refers to it by a specific name.

@kdu2814:
Winnie the Pooh (the literary character, not the Disneyfied version) just fell into public domain on January 1st, because the character turned 96 at some point this year. Steamboat Willie hits public domain on 1/1/2024, because it turns 96 sometime that year. Bride of Frankenstein is 1935, so she’s got until 1/12031 before her likeness is free to use, but even then Universal may own trademarks on many of those likenesses, and those won’t expire.

So, Pooh (naked stuffed bear) is okay, but Disney made their own version of him which is unique in dress and behavior, and will be under copyright for several more years. Steamboat Willie, the cartoon, will soon lose protections, but Disney has trademarked Mickey Mouse twelve ways from Sunday, ensuring they have put both the Steamboat Willie design and the Sorcerer’s Apprentice design in logos periodically to refresh their claim on those depictions (means you’ll be able to produce and distribute as many copies of the original animation as you want, but you might still get in trouble if you try to use the character in your own non-satirical works). And as they hit their deadlines, the Universal Monster movies will each enter public domain, but any iconic looks will almost certainly be protected by trademark status. The Mummy is one that they might have trouble with in that regard, but Bride’s hair is probably the most distinctive element of any Monster character design. Mel Brooks was able to get away with using it in Young Frankenstein (released by Fox, and now owned by Disney), but he could claim 1st Amendment protections as a work of satire.

I didn’t expect you were. But “greengrocer’s apostrophe” is probably more commonly used in Europe, or more specifically the UK, just because it’s tied to the use of “greengrocer” over “grocery store” or “supermarket”.
