Not enough minifigures in the Advent Calendar, but the exclusive Leia and Palpatine look pretty good. Also, a cheap way to get Omega!
Ooh nice! Really dig that battle pack! That Yavin Base is heavily overpriced. It's one of those sets, that is barely worth getting at 40% discount.
Gotta have the advent calendar this year… just for the Ewok.
There was a report that the BP was going to be almost $30, it seems it went from $20 to $21 so LEGO is a sneaky thing.
I wish you hadn't posted the full contents of the advent calendar!
I can't make my mind up about that rebel base... I do love the Y-wing though. It's crying out for an X-wing friend.
YAvin base looks grossly over-priced. I reckon there's about £90 worth there, even with all the minifigs.
Advent Calendar looks fun, and some different characters in it, too. Plus, no weapons racks!
Yavin out here priced like they want it to sell about as well as Assault on Hoth
I'm definitely going to get the battle pack, always like to have more clone variants.
The Yavin IV Rebel base looks pretty nice. I like location based sets with lots of figures akin to the Master Builder Series sets. Though this rebel base would be more of an "Apprentice Builder Series" set.

The price was supposed to be €26,99. There's a catalog page floating around the web.
I'm late to the LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga video game, but a few nights ago I'm wandering around Yavin 4 on that little shuttle bus thinking this has never been in a set... now there it is! FAB, and so is the game.
The advent calendar needs another figure, possibly one from andor or kenobi. I love the yavin 4 base especially for the luke figure.
Yavin IV is undoubtedly disappointing. Expecting something a built more substantial and to actually look more like it. Good minifigure selection though.
Price per brick ratio is telling you how overpriced the set is.
Whoo! ANOTHER 501st battle pack and this one doesn't even look nice.
Yavin IV looks like a 4+ set and has the price inflation of one, too.
More positively, I actually really dig the advent calendar builds and figures.

That's not the 501st...?
Why does the Yavin 4 set have to be more expensive than The Darth Vader Castle from 2019?
Other than that,it's nice that we can get 332nd troopers easily, and that advent calender is the best in years!
Nothing worth it to me as a long time fan here. Don't need any more clone troopers, not even the hole helmet because I got 3 specialist packs. Yoda Starfighter is the most ludicrous, absolutely nothing new and 35 bucks for one figure is far too much (R2-D2 is regular bricks). Calendars with just 5 figures don't offer enough in face of that ludicrous price increase from 27 to 38€. So many calendars of all themes ended up on sale for 10-15€ in Lego Stores and elsewhere last year, it's like they have increased the price that much just so the discounted price ends up closer to 20€ even with 50% off which is incidentally what these calendars should always have been priced as in face of so much of the contents being garbage 1x1 round plates.
Yavin is the only notable item here and even then I don't see anything to justify 1000 pieces with a 70€ upcharge. So many repeats and just exclusive prints on pieces that can be bought for cents unprinted. The Rebel Mechanic couldn't even get a new helmet mold let alone white motorcycle visor. The inclusion of Dodonna here also makes me wish they had chosen a different rebel back in the X-Wing or had at least updated him to have the white labcoat.
My spending basically remains the same because of the giant UCS sets of the last few years but if the subject such a set doesn't appeal that means half of the Star Wars spending falling away that year. 2023 seems to be just 3 battlepacks for the new clone trooper helmets and a LAAT/I or 2 for me, but that last one depends on if the Gunship set is a complete overhaul or based too closely on the outdated 2012 set. Probably better that way because of LOTR, Indiana Jones, Jazz Club and last years castle eating up the years budget already but kinda weird that every year only one or two themes deliver a magnificent line up while all other themes trot out tired rehashes and plain stupid ideas instead of firing at all fronts.
I like the Yavin 4 set a lot actually. It reminds me of a Kenner-esque playset. Very “toy-like” in a good way.
Price is out of whack but what else is new.
Still waiting for new V-wing...
Man. That extra Star Destroyer in the AC makes getting the $70 SSD extra tempting now.
I'm also loving the increase in chibi-sized AC vehicles, including the STAP.
Red Leader turns up
Just waiting on Red 8 (iirc)
Advent Calendar is nice and I don't see weapons rack, but it is missing some minifigs. Disappointing in that regard.
The Rebel base has excellent figs, but something about the build looks off. I don't know what it is. It's nice, but not spectacular. I can see how some people might obtain just the minifigs thru BrickLink.
212th clone helmet print still not fixed :)
I just want a Hailfire droid again not just an Advent calendar slot :(((((((((((
Another clone battle pack to add to the collection.
Wish they made some Maul mandolorians for Ahsokas to fight now.
These pattlepacks seem to be kind of one sided at the moment. I remember the first one they produced back in 2007 had the droids to fight.
Also glad they lowered the price.
Does anyone think we'll get season 2 era Bad Batch figures? Their more colourful and personalised look I thought was much better.
Also, what would it take to get a couple of sets based on the Visions theme?? I'd love a couple of figures and the monowheel from the Sith episode!

I hope we do. We haven't got one season 2 set at all. There is plenty of potential for the Lego designers to produce more sets based on the series.
I have not seen visions but that is on my list to watch.

Well it's got twice as many minifigures for a start, most of which are new designs. I won't argue that it's more expensive, but you're getting a little more for the money. Whether it's enough is a separate question.
Emperor with a Christmas jumper matching Vader's in 2020.
The price for Yavin IV is a joke. No reasonable person would pay $200 for a set with $100 worth of pieces.
I might pick up a 332nd pack since I only have one currently. The helmet holes don't really bother me, but the printing has me concerned. They should be done now with the 501st/332nd so hopefully we'll start seeing new legions or droid packs. The speeder itself looks like a nice build! And this our first year with two battlepacks since 2019. On to the other sets, Yoda's starship Is boring and overpriced unless you missed the first one. The advent calendar needs one more figure although the selection and builds look really good! I might try and pick one up on steep discount. And finally, Yavin 4. The build looks okay, but the figure lineup is fantastic! I especially love the printed medallions. Overall it's not a bad wave, and it will be improved once the larger sets will be announced.
Also the possibility that battlepacks would have been $27 is absolutely outrageous. Prices may be going up for everything, but I don't think they have gone up 25+% in 6 months.
The yoda starfighter may be the most boring star wars set of the year, but the buildable Chewbacca for 200 might be worse...
Well, after finally seeing the back of the Yavin base, I can’t say I like the set any more than before. The celebration room especially is rather shallow and underwhelming. Maybe I’ll try again to recreate the sketch model from 2009…
Disgusting prices, really. Yavin Base - shame on you LEGO - and also Yoda's Starfighter.. cool looking $25 set but $35... ugh, no thanks. The Clone trooper battle pack is the only good set and that are just four figures, essentially.
Obviously Yavin 4 is horrifically overpriced, but is not one going to mention that Y-Wing?? That’s the worst rendition of one I’ve ever seen. It looks like something from a cartoon - you know, like a scene from Tom and Jerry where the cat runs into a wall and is compressed like an accordion.

I like the Yavin set as well. And i like the inclusion of Cindel (of the Ewoks Adventure) in the calendar
I quite like the Yavin 4 base as a play set, but for my kids. And they get one present a year (at most) in this price range and it won't be this one... As a display set it is too much of a play set.
The yoda fighter is the same as the old one and I have that already.
The battle pack is starting to be priced outside of the-pick-up-just-for-fun-range...
i like the clone battle pack. Will have to get that. Yoda's Starfighter is cool. be interesting to see a comparison between it and the last one. Yavin 4. The base looks a bit skinny, but I love that Y-wing, I'm gonna build it myself. and the advent calendar is the usual stuff, nice minifigs and some cool builds
The calendar looks good this year but the rest is kind of uninspiring and overpriced.
Given the 40th anniversary of ROTJ this year, where the heck are the good UCS sets like an Endor Bunker, Jabba's Palace, Tatooine Skiff or the Khetanna?
I liked the days when Battle Packs were £10 :)
Yoda's Starfighter was done pretty well in 2017 and isn't in need of a reboot.
Yavin IV has been a long time coming but with that squashed scale Y-wing this looks like an oversized 4+ set.
It should've been given the UCS treatment like Mos Eisley to do it justice so this is definitely another wasted opportunity by Lego.
These will all be ones to get when they inevitably fall in price on Amazon about 3 months after release.
Brickodillo - That's not Cindel, that's Omega from The Bad Batch :)

"... kinda weird that every year only one or two themes deliver a magnificent line up while all other themes trot out tired rehashes and plain stupid ideas instead of firing at all fronts."
I have a theory that there's an "A Team" group of product designers who bounce around from theme to theme. You can tell what theme they're assigned to in a given year because it's SO MUCH better than everything else. Then the next year the A Team moves to a different theme. That's my theory to explain the wildly varying quality in set designs within the same theme, from one year to the next. This year, they're clearly working on Friends. I mean, that Botanical Center?!?! Amazing.
Anyway, after 20+ years of collecting Star Wars sets, this year I'm down to just the TIE Bomber. I appreciate the impressive collection of minifigs in the Yavin set, and I'm pleased to see them tackle new subject matter. But man, is that build unimpressive.
It's not a great wave, especially when considering the rumors for fall releases.
A couple of months ago, I made a MOC of the medal scene with the older (now vintage) minifigures. It actually looks better than the whole Y4 set... And I'm a terrible builder. I do love the y-wing, however. I'm probably not getting it (especially at $220 Canadian...)
I love Yoda's ship, strangely. I bought two copies of the last one, one to build, the other to keep in box. I'm thinking I may get a copy to keep sealed with the 2017 one.
I don't care about advent calender, so I'm not getting this.
I like the battle pack, but I'm partial to the new helmet. I'll probably get a couple of copies anyway.
My son really wants the spider sets as well 75361. I did not want to get it but he keeps asking for it so I guess I'll get it anyway.
I'm actually looking forward to see pictures of the rumored UCS Venator as well as pics of the Ghost and LAAT/i.
massive Ls all around. The weird Ahsokatroopers instead of clones from ROTS (Felucia anyone?), the unnecessary Yoda starfighter and the disgusting ripoff that is the Rebel Base. Waiting for that to hit 50% off before even considering it.

That’s actually Omega from The Bad Batch. But how cool would a Cindel minifig be?!? I loved those Ewok movies growing up.

Yavin base is cool. I'm glad we're finally getting that and I like the Y-wing, however small it is. Advent calendar Palpatine is immensely disappointing.
I’m happy with all of this. I want everything.
I haven't bought an advent calendar before, but I might just get this one for Omega. Yavin 4 would be a fantastic set for $120 or so, but $170? Nah. The 332nd battlepack looks great for $15, but not $20.

in case you didn't know - while the Ewok movies themselves were ignored by the wider SW literature, Cindel was mentioned in the novel "Tyrant's Test" as an up-and-coming journalist for the magazine "Life Monitor" on Coruscant. Just a neat reference for those who watched these kids movies
I’m happy with the advent calendar, can’t wait to get it in December! Really happy it has Omega.
Also I know people will complain about (I already have) the brow on the 332nd being too big (official photos show it’s normal and a render issue) and Palpatine having a lazy reused torso (it’s different from Vader’s, look closer)
I like them all though! Don’t care too much for the 332nd BP since I don’t like them a lot tho
Definitely will collect a couple of the battle pack. Yoda’s starfighter I will probably get since I missed out on the 2017 one. Yavin I will wait for a discount, and this might be the first advent calendar I would buy multiples of.

Can’t work out whether this was a mistake or a joke. Either way it’s funny because it really does look like Cindel. That would be niche minifigure to produce.
rebel base is more than i thought it would be: thi9uyght it would be $100 like bobas throne room.
The Yavin 4 set is a real head scratcher. It has some great minifigures with the updated celebration outfits, the new Trash Compactor C-3PO, new pilots and crew. That's a huge draw for me. But I really don't want a $170 that is nearly unidentifiable without the minifigs. And what parent is going to buy a $170 play set for their kids that is light on play and more of a display set? The Y-Wing looks quite nice, but it's much smaller than others released. Unfortunately, it's an easy pass for me.
The clone battle pack is a must to load up on these clones.
Will definitely be picking up at least one battlepack since I missed out on the 332nd before. At that price, it is not as outrageous as before (because honestly what were they thinking with that original price ???), hell I might even pick up a second if I can find them at a discount.
I like the Yavin for the figs at least, but the Yoda Interceptor confuses me entirely. It’s had such a small part in the series but this is the second set they’ve made of it, it seems like they are only making it to use that new quarter dome piece on the stern. I’d much rather have Ahsoka’s or Obi-Wan’s blue one with the ring, haven’t had one of those since episode 3 was released
The Yavin set looks alright but the Y-Wing looks wrong to me. I think splitting the set and giving us a "new" Y-Wing would have been better.
Kinda tempted by the calendar for a cheaper Omega, but probably on discount.
They should have upgraded Yavin's edifice and released in as a Master Builder Series set. Would vastly improve the look of it. Alternatively, release it at $130 like Vader's castle (a fairly close counterpart in design). I've been hoping for a Yavin set since the visual dictionary in 2009, but I don't think I'll be getting this unless it goes on a great sale.
Yikes. Not only does that Yavin 4 set look terrible, but even with the mini figs it’s at least $50 overpriced

I knew it was the little kid from the Bad Batch. But i thought it would have been cool to give us Cindel, because she’s Endor based and thus matchy matchy with the ewok. Plus she is a character that a lot of people don’t even know about so i thought it would be funny for the people here on brickset that do know her.
Man, all super overpriced. Wouldn't mind the battle pack, and the minifigs from Yavin IV look great but way too expensive. At least LEGO dropped the BP price from that 27 euro price that was posted in that catalog. And that yoda starfighter set is an absolute joke.
Even at a 30-40% discount Yavin IV is too expensive. Guess I'll just BL those updated rebel celebration minifigs of Han, Luke and Leia!
Not putting any new information out there, just needed to add my 2c! :P
I've added most of these to my wishlist but pricewise unless I find great deals other sets have priority. Wish they had made the Advent Calendar strictly ROTJ themed for the anniversary. Really didn't need to diversify it with yet another unnecessary Battle Droid or Clone Trooper.
Parts of Yavin 4 are so very intriguing, but it ultimately looks like a glorified 4+ set with 4+ (over)pricing…

It is the 501st. 332nd company is a part of the 501st legion.
I personally would have prefered a season 2 Omega rather than a reused season 1 version. I love the idea of having Omega at a cheaper price though. Yoda's jedi starfighter is an interesting choice. Yavin is waaaay overpriced. I was also hoping for SOMETHING of Jabba this year, but alas, no.

Hasbro too. Nothing from the Clone Wars Multi-media Project. They've effectively erased the original Clone Wars.
I can't decide if that Y-wing is ugly or cute.
Could care less about the 332nd battle pack. I thought those clones looked stupid, painted with Ahsoka's skin color and markings. Plus they have continued audacity to slap the Clone Wars 20th Anniversary on it....
I love the Christmas jumper figures each year.
And I can add the Emperor and an Ewok to my collection this year.
Excellent.
I like how Brickset provides a link so as to not spoil the contents of the advent calendar, but 23 of the 24 builds are featured on the box anyway!

That’s the 332nd battalion, which is a part of the 501st. They were assigned to Commander Rex during the mission to Mandalore with former Jedi Ahsoka Tano following as a consultant. This is seen in season 7 of The Clone Wars.
One, barely-noticeable, new torso does not a cool battlepack make. Likewise, the figs in Yavin are understandable (and at least have printed legs) but quite underwhelming. Dodonna is in another current set.
Quite like the main build of 75365, even if the first-floor windows are a bit too big. Interior is quite nice, even if the layout isn't accurate. What I don't like is the Y-Wing (it looks way to small and the missile placement is one of the worst yet) and the price (probably around AUD$260, if last year's range is anything to go by).
75359 is great, love the Captain Vaughn minifigure. Glad that one of the clones is a generic, that was the only downside with 75345 IMO. Glad that there is a new Swamp Speeder on the market, even if it is quite a bit below scale. Bit odd they put it in the 332nd BP though, what with most of the combat on Mandalore taking place in urban environments.
75366 looks decent, though I agree that there should be another minifigure or two. The build Hailfire Droid especially is really good IMO.

I'd agree if they hadn't put it on Disney+ and if 75087 wasn't also made after it was supposedly decanonized (98% of it still fits disney canon and 08 TCW kinda relies on it for introducing Grievous and Ventress)
Yoda's starfighter was a dud the first time and I can't comprehend why they'd make it again. Aside from the TIE bomber, this whole year has been such a disappointing array of tablescraps.
Yavin is really a disappointment. I assume the horribly inflated price is due to the minifigures, but there is nothing new here. Yes, Luke and Han have medals, but the old medal minifigures cost very little on Bricklink. While a few characters may be named, they are still pretty much generic pilots or astromechs. And General Dodana already got a release in a very affordable set. Perhaps the set would be alright if the build looked good, but it just doesn’t. Very disappointing, especially considering that if this doesn’t do well it makes it less likely we’ll see more large scale locations (Geonosis Arena) in the future. This really should have been a UCS set, not a regular set with UCS pricing.
At least we’re getting an affordable way to create an army of Ahsoka’s troopers!
I can’t decide which is the best ironic set title, The Justifier or Yavin 4+.
I love Ahska's team, it will sell crazy I think. Yavin 4 would be great 20years ago, but now it is boring to have anything from the orginal trilogy, especially like this 4+ form. I never like Yoda so I don't care his starfighter either.
I won't be picking up any of these due to either a lack of interest (Yoda's Starfighter) or the exorbitant price (Yavin IV). I love Lego and I love Star Wars, but the offerings from this theme have been pretty dismal lately IMO.
I *do* like the new Luke figure in the Yavin IV set--I'll definitely grab one on BrickLink if it's not too much.
Also, a nitpick: Why does Leia have white arms? And where is her cape?
That Yavin set is long overdue. They teased a prototype of it over a decade ago!
If only they had upgraded that years old prototype...

I understand your issue with the battle droid and clone, and while I agree with the droid, I think the 212th is a good inclusion. In the American markets, they are exclusive to the $140 AT-TE so having one in a much cheaper set is nice.
@RaiderOfTheLostBrick said:

There are 7....that's pretty typical, about 1/3d of the days are minifigs.
Nice to see regular rifles back in the battle packs. But I'm really hoping they do an assassin droid pack again...
Yes, Yavin4 set is overpriced, but it does at least come with 10 minifigs + 2 astromechs. And I heard rumors that the Y-wing was only going to be a microfighter, so at least the Y-wing actually included is a scale above that. Given that I' want most of the minifigs in this set and have been waiting for a Yavin4 set for some time, I will be picking this up.
Could it have been better and should it have been less expensive? Yes. However, If I compare this set against both of the dioramas that came out this year, those 2 sets only come with 6 minifigs total, and all you get from them are a couple of brick built bases, a window and a couple of trees for $180 USD compared with $170 USD for the Yavin4 set. So I'll be picking up the Yavin4 set instead of the dioramas.
The Yavin 4 base looks like a modern version of that sketch model in the Star Wars visual dictionary several years ago.
It's funny that everything still feels about 30% too expensive. Lego said prices would go up by 25-30% on most items, but you'd have thought we'd have started to get used to it by now. However, Lego was pretty expensive before. Now it's not so much a nice luxury item, just over-priced toys.
LEGO continues their scheme of ridiculously overpricing sets. How on earth does the 332nd battle pack cost more than 40 AUD?
I will be picking up the new Yoda starfighter but only because I missed out on the last one - if I had that one, this new one would be an easy pass.
The Yavin base looks okay, a little smaller than I expected and although most of the new minifigures are excellent, the rebel mechanic looks wack and I can't see the value in the set overall.
