Marvel Advent Calendar - Day 16
Posted by CapnRex101,
I think yesterday's accessory rack was perhaps the weakest item from this Advent Calendar so far, which is saying quite a lot, sadly. One hopes that inevitably means improvement today.
Find out below...
Thankfully, this Loki-themed throne represents a huge improvement and this is exactly the kind of thing Marvel Advent Calendars should contain, in my opinion. The green and pearl gold colours are instantly identifiable with Loki and also have a seasonal flavour, while the decorative horns evoke the God of Mischief in a creative way. Of course, this is even more appropriate given the events of Loki season two recently, although I am sure that is coincidental, given the development time for LEGO Advent Calendars.
Overall - I am delighted with today's Loki-themed throne, which faultlessly represents its owner.

You'd think though with a Loki themed throne, we'd get a Loki minifig....
This is low key one of my favorite builds in the calendar
Could work as Santa's throne as well...
This looks great. I have couple of snake pieces that I can use instead of the gold ones here. I think I can build a menacing throne using this as a base design.
@Brickalili: Thanks for the correction yesterday. As I said, it's been a while since I saw Thor: Ragnarok, as I only saw it during its original theatrical run.
Last year, the penguin gets a throne. Over in the the City calendar, the gaming nerd gets a throne, and now Loki gets his throne.
It's like an episode of Oprah about people who enjoy sitting on opulent furniture.

Santa Loki?
Richard Dawson: Okay, Peter. Lois did great. You only need one point to win the $500.00. 20 seconds. Name something you sit in.[previously Lois answered "chair" to this challenge]
Peter: Chair.
Richard: Try again.
Peter: Big chair.
Richard: No, that's the same thing. Try again.
Peter: High chair.
Richard: That's still a chair.
Peter: Chair.
Richard: Say something other than chair.
Peter: What if I can't think anything?
Richard: You can pass.
Peter: How do I pass?
Richard: Just say it.
Peter: Say what?
Richard: Say "pass".
Peter: Chair.
Marvel has a real chance of winning today! depending on HP, of course.

Three famous supervillains: the Penguin, Loki, and the... gamer?
Missed opportunity to make 33909 in pearl-gold. And 3563 in dark-green.
Rocking throne?
Imagine bobbing sideways on this throne to assert dominance.
Ra's Al Ghul has a weirder sense of style than I remember
Functions as both a cool Marvel thing and cool Christmas thing with the antler theme, wish more of the calendar was like this
@Ridgeheart: I'm reminded of something someone my mom knew (can't remember who) used to say: "Find a seat and put yours in it!"
@Lordmoral: Santa Loki
Put some tricks right under the tree
For me
@ResIpsaLoquitur: Thanks for the laugh. I'm subscribed to Family Feud's YouTube channel, and while I've never seen anything quite that ridiculous, sometimes people do get stuck in a rut.

Surely: The Gamer.

But will it be the TVA Variant that we all want?

Doubt we'll ever get another after the Marvel Series 1 collectable figure.
A good Marvel build, huzzah!
All this talk about Loki's throne but let us remember ... it was Kang's throne first. The goofy little god of mischief stole it to do his wibbly wobbly timey wimey tree stuff, and it will only be until Avengers 690: Kangn't Touch This that Kang will finally take it back from him and make things right.
Sheer brazen Frost Giant propaganda. I am appalled.
It looks like I'm not the only one that aligns pip marks to try to hide them on the inside.
