Star Wars Advent Calendar - Day 23
Posted by CapnRex101,Faced with an AT-ST, a speeder bike, an Imperial Star Destroyer and even Emperor Palpatine, the Rebel Alliance is clearly lacking in equipment to fight back.
Hopefully day 23 balances the scales...
I am not convinced this Ewok glider will stand up to those combined Imperial forces, but this is a good start! The design is fairly simple and would benefit from larger wings to match the onscreen glider, although I like that the wings are adjustable on clips. Also, the colours are suitable for Ewok technology, including a pair of reddish brown hand grips, ready for a minifigure to fly the glider.
Overall - The shape of the wings could be improved, but this is an excellent small vehicle for an Advent Calendar.

Weeeeeee!
Oh, wait. He's not out yet. Always seems wierd when the accoutrement comes before the subject.
Yub-nub Wright brothers.
Not a lot of room for spoilers given that there's something on the box that still hasn't appeared.
In the meantime, enjoy your hang-gliding Palpatine. "Point Break!!!"
I think in this case I would definitely prefer the accessory make its appearance before the character. You want it to end on a high note when Day 24 comes.
I dunno, given how tiny some of the Imperial entries have been, maybe the glider stands more of a chance than you think; it’s at least roughly minifig scale!
This "glider" partook in what was quite an embarrassing and unrealistic scene. The "best" of the Emperors forces were overrun by a handful of rebels and teddy bears throwing rocks, which somehow managed to kill the stormtroopers who were wearing armour! and it didn't even look like a battle. Just a bunch of people running around, with the "elite" imperial forces somehow missing every shot!
Looks more like Miguel sent Vulture to the wrong universe. Where's Vulture though? Well, the Ewoks in the cartoon say they don't eat meat unless absolutely necessary. Looks like it was necessary...

The Marvel Advent Calendar would seem to not understand how that works regarding a throne and a missing character.
Folds up better than the Imperial shuttle!

If you look at the box, 23 models are shown. All that’s missing is the shield emitter dish, the stand for the STAP, and the plate that the AT-ST stands on. Seems a bit late in the game to be voicing these complaints, especially when the exclusive holiday minifig is the main draw of any SWAC.
@Maxbricks14:
To be fair, those Stormtroopers can barely see out of those tiny eyeholes (that are set well in front of their faces) even when they’re in a climate-controlled space station. In a humid jungle, they can’t even see two inches in front of their faces. Notice how the Biker Scouts have larger viewports, which are shaded to prevent overhead glare, and they wear less of that sweaty armor to cut down on the moisture level inside their helmet.
@Rimefang:
I mean, the Marvel Calendar doesn’t seem to understand how anything works. They seem to be taking their design cues from the early Friends calendars.
Star Wars has so many corners I'm not familiar with that I briefly assumed that this was an obscure starfighter.
I briefly forgot what calender this was and thought it was a skate ramp with a stand in the middle.
I mean... if you're brave enough you still could use it as such...
Very good at taking out AT-ST'S or so I have read.......
Fun 3x build! https://www.instagram.com/p/C1NIR_LJg0S/
I hope if the 2024 Calendars learning anything, it is that figures should come before accessories.

Normally they do, but often they like to end the calendar on a high note, especially when it’s an exclusive holiday-themed minifig that’s plastered all over the box. Not that I’m suggesting that’s going to be the case, here, mind you.

Welcome to Vietnam
Day 23
5. Marcel- best hung on a wall. Use with jetpack
4. HP - WE' ve seen worse, we've seen better
3. Friends- as nice as the last couple of dass, but one more would get boring
2. City - an addon for the sleigh is a real surprise
1. SW - we're bombing the entrance at 1800 hoirs, coming in from the Northeim, just below their radar

The Ewoks had the will of the Force on their side. Same reason Chirrut Imwe was able to walk through a barrage of fire from troopers we know were actually capable of hitting a target.
Oh that’s what it is! Thought it was terrible
