More 2024 polybags revealed!

Posted by ,

Following a Disney polybag yesterday, two polybags from the Animal Crossing and Sonic the Hedgehog themes have now been revealed by JB Spielwaren.

30662 Maple's Pumpkin Garden and 30676 Kiki's Coconut Attack contain 29 and 42 pieces, respectively, and feature some fun little models. The former even includes an exclusive minifigure of bear cub villager Maple!

You can view more images of both sets after the break...

I bet the animal crossing one is going to be popular.

I've never played any games from either series (although I was thinking about trying Animal Crossing out before my stroke), but I might get these. Wouldn't be the first time I've bought polybags from themes I wouldn't otherwise get sets from. And, as @MeisterDad says, 30676 definitely brings the Mixels nostalgia.

I had a similar first thought seeing the Sonic polybag, “oh wow that’s like a Mixel.” I have about 50+ mixels so it definitely brought back memories.

I could care less about either of these themes but both look like excellent part packs!

So this is what seems to be a Flexers Spikels Mix if I'm not mistaken...

The Sonic polybag looks good, but I was hoping for it to be a minifig polybag. I'll skip since the parts themselves don't interest me. The Fabuland..er Animal Crossing polybag looks like really good value! I'll skip it though since the parts aren't useful and I have no use for the figure. I'm looking forward to seeing the HP, Ninjago, and Dreamzzz polybags!

Agree to disagree! The AC polybag is an excellent parts pack for my purposes, minifig parts included.

as an avid nintendo fan, the animal crossing sets kind of dissapointed me, but this polybag will definetly fill the void that the robot mario has left in me.

A while back I commented (elsewhere) that a "monkey who throws stuff at you" was the one type of enemy that felt missing from 21331 and its alternate build--there isn't one in the original Green Hill Zone, but Emerald Hill in Sonic 2 included Coconuts (who went on to bigger and cartoonier things) and they've been a recurring archetype in Green Hill-like levels ever since. So Kiki (originally introduced in Sonic Adventure's Emerald Coast) is a good addition to the theme that makes it feel a little more complete. It's also the first badnik we've gotten that's specific to Modern Sonic, in contrast to the RhinoBot from 76995 which is the first badnik we've gotten that's specific to Classic Sonic (the badniks from Green Hill proper have all appeared in both contexts).
