By in Sweden,

The frozen castle must be the Disney princess equivalent of Luke’s Landspeeder, Hogwarts Express, and Hulkbuster.

From a sovereign queen to running a snack cart, how the mighty have fallen.

Beats the, um, 'traditional' method for retiring royalty...

I suppose the ice-cream cart, the story-time cart and the market (which I love) are all designed to function together as a large scene.

I assume Cinderella has a shoe shop?

The princess multiverse is getting crazy. Can’t wait till Leia shows up.

*Insert dark joke about Beauty and the Beast taking place in the same time period as the French Revolution*

Where’s the “2024 Ninjago Sets Revealed!” article?

By in United States,

43241 will probably be the only time we get a set consisting of a bar and a hostage’s prison. At least they made them look cute!

By in United States,

I’m curious, why do all the new mini-dolls appear to have eye-folds? Is it because the Asian market is now so large that this feature is appealing and helps increase sales in Asia? I’m just curious about what reasons drive change these days, and why corporations make decisions.

I actually struggle to find an affordable Hogwarts Express, otherwise I would've owned one by now.

Well what about Marvel?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Phew! No minifig sets. Saving da money!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Not on board for the Frozen ones this time, but SQUEEEE for the rest! :) And is that Mother Gothel?! (A far too smiley one if it is, but still - about time!)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm pretty sure they got the geography of Tangled wrong...

@Zordboy:
Merida and Mulan co-manage an armory, Snow White has an apothecary, which just leaves Pocahontas, Moana, Raya, and Jasmine.

By in Austria,

does anyone know why only 2 Star Wars sets have been revealed? usually by this time of the year we not only know all the sets and have at least some grainy leaked pictures, but most of the time they are officially revealed by this point.

Don't forget helicopter and lighthouse!

The two Star Wars sets that were revealed are the only two we will be getting in January (not counting the also revealed AAT polybag). There are some rumors about ones to come later in the year, but those probably won’t be revealed for a while.

For the princess sets, Aurora’s polybag looks to be a great parts pack, and I love the color scheme of Elsa’s cart. It’s also nice to finally get Gothel.

thanks for the info! this is a first in Lego SW history, right? I wonder why they are doing this. Can't waitto snag multiple of the battlepacks once they are discounted.

By in United States,

Still think the Snowgies are overrated. They literally appeared in like one special that probably only half the population has seen.

But hey, Mother Gothel in LEGO, finally!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@AverageChimaEnjoyer:
They appear in Frozen Fever, Frozen II, the Olaf Presents shorts, and LEGO Frozen Northern Lights. And be careful what you say about them, or we'll have to sic Marshmallow on you.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Are the zipline and slide in the Rapunzel set supposed to represent her hair?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

It's good to know we still have polybags, even when cmfs have gone to small boxes

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like the architecture in some of these sets. They appear well designed and look great!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why can’t we get legit Belle and Beast minifigs?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really like 43234 Elsa's Frozen Treats. I like the colors and design. It's really "cool".

Elsa's cart is a fine parts pack, too. The wagon wheels alone...

I was wondering the same thing! I think the Zipline is her hair, but the slide is definitely not.

By in United States,

Fine sets for a theme I don't really care about. That being said I'll wait to see if I can get that Aurora polybag on clearance like I did with this year's Moana. It contains some really good elements, especially the new leaf elements. Does Ariel's castle not count? It includes a minidoll so I assumed it would be in this lineup.

Now I am just waiting on the Harry Potter, Ninjago, Marvel, and Dreamzzz polybags to be revealed!

Ariel's Castle hasn't been revealed yet, besides a tiny image on LEGO's Certification Page. Once there are better images, we'll definitely post it!

You mean, Snow White isn't managing an organic fruit and vegetable market?

Opportunity missed, Lego.

Probably they are going to release another batch of SW sets in May the 4th

And the reveals just keep coming. Won't be getting any of these though!

By in United States,

As I was scrolling through the images, I was mostly thinking "Meh," until I got to 43246 Princess Market Adventure at the end. For small buildings, I think they've done a great job coming up with interesting and unique architecture for each one that also fits the princess, and they *mostly* have good color schemes.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Most of these sets are really cute and hopefully not too overpriced. Love the Castle Snowglobe piece in the Elsa's Frozen Treats set. I still don't understand why they waste parts budget on slides & swing builds in so many of these sets. I guess they think they're interesting play features but I'd rather see the parts budget put into something more interesting.

And Space Shuttles (the real one, not the 2024 space sci-fi variant)

https://brickset.com/sets/tag-Space-Shuttle

More Space Shuttle sets after it retired then during it's existance , hmm. (but they also started doing lots of microbuilds, and expanded to many more sets/themes after 2011, so can't really blame them)

No space set within the Princess line? How disappointing! Princesses can learn any profession they want!

Actually, while this suggestion might belong in a separate article on the subject, I have not yet heard it at least mentioned: why doesn't LEGO change polybags to small cardboard boxes?
Contrary to CMF blind bags, polybags never needed to be plastic bags in the first place. When I was a kid in the 80s, small sets that would currently be the equivalent of a polybag came in small boxes. Sets like my first ever LEGO set for example 886.
Polybags don't feature content that needs to be felt to know what's inside, so why not change those back to cardboard boxes for the sake of being more environmentally friendly, like they try to convince us was the reason why they switched with the CMFs (even though we all can guess the real reason they only made this switch with CMFs and nothing else). Even the contents of regular sets still come in plastic bags even though LEGO has said for years they would switch to paper bags, which so far I have not yet seen on a single regular set.

Put simply, transportation costs. The polybags can be stuffed inside a shipping carton until there’s basically no air left inside. If you’re familiar with the size of a PAB case, the Hoth Han Solo polybag shipped over 100 copies per case that size. Try doing that with boxes.

True, but in that case the argument pro boxes for CMFs as more environmentally friendly makes even less sense, since the new boxes take more room than the plastic bags. So they need more shipping space and hence again cause more pollution. No solution is ideal.

Hey, stop it! Obi-Wan Logic doesn’t work if you’re going to start poking holes in it like that.
