By in United States,

I do like Mei and Dumbo. Probably some of the best Brickheadz out there.

By in United States,

I see what they are going for with the hind legs of Eeyore and Dumbo, but i dont think the execution is working. It looks to me still like they just have blocky hands.

Eeyore is an eye sore.

Dumbo and Eeyore look great... no liking for Mei as my only interest is in old-school Disney!

By in United States,

That Dumbo mY be the first BrickHeadz that I ever buy. Adorable!

My wallet is happy that I don't collect Brickheadz, these are too cute.

By in United States,

I only care about Dumbo and Eeyore. Or early Pixar.

By in Canada,

- Create new reddish orange color, and use it for red pandas in City
- Make BrickHeadz red panda and use classic red instead of the more accurate reddish orange

I'm sure they didn't have enough recolors available, but it would have been nice to flesh out my collection of new reddish orange parts.

By in United States,

Mei should be reddish-orange imo

Gravatar
By in United States,

I may have to get all 3.

But I'm getting an "Ash from Army of Darkness" vibe from Eeyore. I'm not sure that tail is working.

By in Germany,

Don't know what that ugly Panda is supposed to represent, but since it's BrickHeadz I don't care much anyway.
At least Dumbo looks kind of cute.

By in United States,

Mei Mei was meant to be a Brickheadz. It seems to be the perfect scale compared to a minifigure.

I’m happy to see another Pixar film get its physical Lego representation. It’s only inevitable we see something from Monsters Inc!

By in Ireland,

Eeyore looks like some weird alien creature with its mouth open....it just a wrong design.
Dumbo works fine for Brickheadz but my favourite is the Red Panda.

Gravatar
By in United States,

My mom loves Eeyore so I'm definitely getting that Brickheadz for her

Gravatar
By in United States,

Dumbo looks great.
Eeyore unsure of, not great.

Red Panda Mei - I need a better picture unsure of the tail.
In the pictures of what I saw the tail is striped.

Mei looks fantastic! Dumbo looks cute, too bad his movie is horrifically racist garbage.

The designer took the 'red' out of Red panda too far.

At the very least I certainly hope Lego seriously considered using the new reddish orange. With a major IP you’d think Lego would go for accuracy.

These are cute. My 9 year old son is crazy in love with that Turning Red movie. Maybe that BrickHeadz will be perfect gift.

I think I just realized something. Are Brickheadz the only LEGO sets that never reflect an obnoxious license tax? $9.99 for 1, $14.99 for 1 1/2, $19.99 for 2, etc.

And if so, how do we drive that for other themes?

By in Finland,

On Eeyore: The mouth area being the flesh color inaccurate and gross-looking. It should be light grey like his underside. The Ideas figure got this right. And really he should be dark grey, but sand blue is fine.

In looking at google, it would appear that the muzzle is reflected with both kinds of coloring.

I can't immediately explain what's wrong with Eeyore here but something(s) is(are) off.

I've never believed the whole license tax argument. I still think it's just LEGO price gouging wherever they can. I've always assumed Brickheadz prices stayed reasonable due to lower demand.

By in United Kingdom,

Eeyore is my spirit animal, so I will definitely be getting it - even though I feel it does need tweaking in some way. I think that the sloped brick on the side needs to touch the blocks of his hind legs, so that it has more of a back sloping into legs look and less like a stubby little arm in addition to hind legs?

Also feel Dumbo's trunk needs to be a bit longer, but overall, they are pretty cute and I do like BrickHeadz, so I'm sure when I'm a little short of a GWP threshold these will find their way into the basket.

@AustinPowers:
It’s not a panda. It’s a red panda. Totally different species. And that’s the main character from one of Pixar’s pandemic film trio, which Disney dumped to basic streaming, and only briefly released to theaters about a year ago(?) in at least the US. They didn’t do much marketing for the film, so if you weren’t seeking it out, it’s not surprising that you haven’t heard of it. I am a Pixarholic, so I own both a physical copy, and a ticket stub from the late, late, late, ridiculously delayed US opening day. And I would have recognized it even without the branding or any mention of the film.

@Studnotontop:
That’s…true. Huh. No mouth, though, so I don’t think I’d want to drop her in a layout without modifications.

@missedoutagain:
I’m calling robot claw in whatever color, dark-red 2x2 bowl, alternating red and pearl-gold/nougat 2x2 round plates, and red Artoo head. So, striped, to a degree.

@yellowcastle:
Sure. Give up minifigs, new molds, and any parts larger than a 2x2 brick.

Our first Pixar Turning Red set! I really hope they’ll do more Pixar things in minifig/minidoll form. Please give us the entire Inside Out cast!

@PurpleDave: thanks for the heads up. That film must indeed have passed me by. Then again I haven't watched many movies in the cinema anyway for quite some time now. I have all the old Pixar classics on DVD or Blu-ray. Of the newer ones I have only seen Soul (on streaming) and Elemental (in the cinema).

Donkey! Oops, wrong series.

Okay, so Onward had just released a few weeks earlier when things went south. Soul was supposed to be the summer 2020 film, Luca would have been summer of 2021, and Turning Red was third, with a planned release at the end of winter in 2022. All three got _one_week_ runs in a single theater in Los Angeles to coincide with getting dumped to streaming (only nations without the D- service got true theatrical releases at that time). This really ticked me off because I’d never seen the original Toy Story until it was out on home video, and just lucked out that a nearby theater was doing a marathon of all four Toy Story films the day before TS4 officially released, so TS4 and Onward were the only two Pixar films I’d been able to watch the first time, having seen every previous Pixar film on the big screen.

Pandemic slows down, and Lightyear was the first film to get a wide release. It flopped, because of political disgruntlement, and because (while it’s a good film) it doesn’t feel much like a Pixar film. Elemental followed a year later, and ended up being a sleeper hit (there wasn’t a lot people could tail against politically, and it was an original story so no baggage with preconceived notions about characters…and it was really good, with fantastic visuals). So, before Inside Out 2 came out the next summer, they squeezed in theatrical releases for the three lost films. Each was guaranteed a one-week run, with the possibility of being held over if the box office did well (keeping in mind all three were in streaming and home video). Soul hit in January 2024, and I believe was the only one to earn an extra week. Turning Red got pushed up one spot for the February release. And Luca finished it out in March 2024. And when Inside Out 2 released that summer, for the third time I was able to watch the newest Pixar film during opening weekend, having seen every previous Pixar film on the big screen.

Oh, hey, I just realized…did you not get the SDCC Invisible Randall minifig? I swear I’ve got one kicking around here, some…where. Darn thing is never to be found when you want it, but I swear I sat on it the other day. Of course, when I stood up, I couldn’t find it anywhere, so maybe I was just dreaming it all.

By in United States,

I love the fact that 40792's ears move. Does that make him the first poseable Brickheadz, or would 40436's function count? Or is there another one I'm forgetting? (I'm not counting 40425, as I'm not sure an opening mouth would count as poseability.) 40797 will probably replace 854203 in my "Characters voiced by Peter Cullen" collection. Since the only other set in that collection is 10302, he'd look a little les overwhelmed.

It's the shape / pose. It just about works for Dumbo mainly as the big ears draw the attention, but fitting animals into a format designed around human or humanoid characters doesn't work so well.

Pluto worked well. I guess they didn’t want to try the same pose.

Balrog wings, Goofy Ears, Coyote tail, Hulk hands to name a few. And I like to remove Gandalfs hat and brain when bored. :o)

I don't have any of those, but I'm not sure that the hinges in 41592's arms are really supposed to be a point of articulation, I think it's just for shaping, which has been done in many other sets. Same goes for 41605. ("I have no fingers, and I must snap...") With those, if you hinge them up, there's suddenly a point where their arms get goofily thin.
