The egg looks like it has a human face with lips and eyes!

Yikes that easter egg tree looks like a horror scene.

By in United States,

Nothing says Easter like the white tree of Gondor!

By in Netherlands,

I like the chick and bunny, but that tree is indeed bizarre....

As for the egg.....DOTS has returned from it's grave!

By in United States,

Egg is terrible, but the rabbit and chicken are cute.

By in United Kingdom,

Disappointing sets that are basically remakes or previous Easter sets 40709 40371

By in New Zealand,

Omg! Best Halloween sets ever!

The Decorative Egg should come with a Squidward Minifigure. IYKYK.

By in United Kingdom,

Remember when Easter set used to be good?, until last year Easter sets were some nice set, but this and last years sets look terrible.

2015s 40121 and 2017's 40237 were really good sets that included figures and nice scenes. Not that I hate builds because 2021's 40463 was a really good set, well made and honestly cute, same for the following years 40523 and 40639

Then last year we go these terrible animal builds, don't even look cute (imo) with some questionable builds to go asides them.

Then this Easter Egg - feels very overpriced £18 feels too much, yes 386 pieces but mostly DOTS, the 2020 40371 is a much better dots egg that can be had for about £10 on eBay.

Obviously my opinion, but very disappointed in these.

By in United Kingdom,

My bad... I wasn't properly paying attention and wrote a comment about how I like that the chick is clearly planning to capture that bunny with his net, and as a GWP I wouldn't be unhappy with it, if I felt the need to buy Lego at Easter, but neither set made me feel like I *had* to get them.

Then I saw my mistake and I definitely don't feel the need to get them. I hope they make someone happy but they're not for me.

'I saw a white tree..... it was dead!'

Gravatar
By in Austria,

I see 40808 as a future birch tree - put 5 to 6 little round black plates in there: voilà!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just about OK if they'd been GWPs, but not worth making a point of buying!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like the tree, but it's the Chick that clenches it for me

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Easter Bunny and Chick Egg Hunt works for me and at a reasonable cost. The $20 holy hand bland egg from Antioch? To it, I say Ni.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ooh, look, more Opera Viking horns for me to collect…

I believe you mean it should come with the Teen Titans Go! Easter Bunny.

Somehow, DOTS returned.

By in United States,

I have some lizard brain memory of white/birch Easter trees that were popular in the ‘70s/‘80s. I am oddly drawn to this new iteration.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Being over 3 months away from Easter I can see the quite attractive £10.99 40808 Easter Bunny and Chick Egg Hunt re-emerging as a GWP in April, even though it's set for sale on 1st Feb.

Well, if you're a Christian, Easter *is* about celebrating someone coming out his grave...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not for me. Odd decoration on egg. Somewhat glad these don't connect with me, my budget needs a break!

Gravatar

When there's no more room in hell, the Easter Bunny will walk the earth?

Now it suddenly all makes snse......We smelten de Paashaas!

By in Germany,

You can now add 30690 to the list as well. ;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

So Easter has moved to February has it?

Timing aside, I would try and go for a Fabergé themed egg rather than one which belongs in horror films.

To me they look like inflatable animals that someone overdid, stopping just a second before they burst. Especially the chicken. Just look at those eyes. One more push on the pump, and kaboom.

Kind of like the end of this scene:

;-)

Truly weird looking sets all around imho.

By in United Kingdom,

These sets are terrifying!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

If Lego stopped doing "Easter" as a season and tried "Springtime" instead, maybe we'd get something more original that chicks, eggs & bunnies.
These look like they're running out of ideas.

You're right, but you can't sell sets based on seasons alone. It has to be something commercial like Easter, Valentine's, Halloween or Christmas with it's corresponding cliches.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

This looks terrible.
Bright colours don't automatically equal a good easter set.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

The tree is kinda neat & could be taken in a variety of interesting directions. The chick and bunny are inspired lunacy (esp the box pic with the chick in the wagon gunning for the bunny) and I am all in favour of this type of absurdity in Lego.

By in Poland,
