City Advent Calendar - Day 14

Posted by ,

Day thirteen saw the arrival of a space-themed minifigure, which might hint to the contents of the next few days. That would make a welcome change from past City Advent Calendars.

Hopefully we are launching into space...

This mini spacecraft is quite appealing, featuring the familiar white, sand blue and reddish orange colour scheme seen throughout the recent City Space range. Its shape does not seem to be based on any specific vehicle from those sets, but 1x2x2/3 slopes work nicely for the wings and I like the engine with an anti-stud on the back, so you can orient the spaceship for a vertical launch.

Overall - This is a simple spacecraft toy, but an effective one nonetheless.

Very cool build. Great companion for yesterday's minifigure.

Alright Benny, calm down

By in Netherlands,

I like that the orange thing on top corresponds with the rollercoaster track thing used on top of the full-sized vehicles.
If I had to guess, I would say this might represented the 60446 Galactic Spaceship with the back modules removed. The wings and engine can attach to the cockpit module to make something like this.

By the way that is one of the best sets of this year in terms of space themed sets imho. Along with the new renegade of course.

Cool... without the orange tile on top, it made me think of a space shuttle... 10283

I mean, it absolutely does look like a frost-golem in a denim vest.

At a glance this was neat if not entirely remarkable, but speaking as someone who perhaps keeps up with New Elementary less than I should, seeing the parts was what really got me excited. I don’t know how long those grille-less 1x2x2/3 slopes have been around, but I’m sure they can’t be debuting in an Advent Calendar, yet they’re new to me. Wow.

Ungrilled cheese have been around a few years, but they’re not as common as the grilled cheese for sure. 94 sets over the last two years:

Kids, don't bike drunk in the snow at night without a helmet.

And, watch out for cars!!! Your big hair won't save you.

RIP.
