Forbes has officially revealed three DC Super Heroes sets which will be released in January of 2018 and will be on display at San Diego Comic-Con next week. The sets are 76096 Superman Krypto Team-Up, 76097 Lex Luthor Mech Takedown and 76098 Speed Force Freeze Pursuit.

Forbes suggests that the sets will range in price from $19.99 to $39.99 but have not assigned price points to each one. The selection of minifigures included is absolutely brilliant and I am particularly surprised to see the brutal Lobo making his minifigure debut! There are some interesting new parts too.

You can view large images of all three sets after the break...

76096 Superman Krypto Team-Up

Superman, Krypto, Lobo.

76097 Lex Luthor Mech Takedown

Let us know what you think of these sets in the comments.

By in United Kingdom,

I can see the superman set being $19.99 and maybe the flash one being $30-40 judging by the number of figs. But I'd be amazed if the mech isn't closer to $50...

By in Sweden,

Not really into the DC universe, what are these sets based off? Comics, tv-series...? :p
The color scheme is unusually bright for super hero sets, and I can spot a few interesting pieces. I can live without the sets, though.

By in Hungary,

Lobo is a minifigure I would've never thought will come.

By in United States,

This seems akin to the DC sets from 2015, with colorful weirdness and most of the Justice League characters. I'm very pleased to see that. Lots of CW's The Flash characters, that's great.
Most of the builds actually seem pretty good, coupled with the fantastic figure selection and the low prices I'm really happy with these sets.

I do wonder about the stuff lying in the foreground in the pictures, though. What's with the random colorful weapons? They clearly come all packaged together, but what will the other ones not used in the sets be used for in the future? I'm especially intrigued by the 1x2 plate with rounded edges and hollow studs, I really do wonder what that part's purpose in these sets is.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Really poor stuff here. Too simple for my liking. They should've stuck with the lego batman movie.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Lobo, eh? Maybe all those people wishing for another Deadpool figure will get their wish at this rate of going...!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Okay, these are pretty awesome, and they are based from the Justice League Action cartoon show I would think. I must have the Lobo minifigure. I will probably buy them all on sight.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Reverse Flash! :D

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think the two smaller sets will be $20 and the lex Luther one will be about $50

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

They done it again: crappy builds with some (mostly crappy again) good minifigures! I am very disappointed, when I heard about a D.C. Set with reverse flash I thought yes! Now the only minifigure that I like is reverse flash, krypto, firestorm and Lobo. The builds looks like some junior buildings made 10 years ago. But I have to say that there are some interesting new pieces here like the net and the transparent blast things. Also I see no arm prints and only one leg printing I wonder if there are even back prints on the torsos, come on TLG it is 2017!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@catwrangler fun fact, I remember getting the Deadpool set and being like, " WOLVERINE AND MAGNETO! Ooh, a copter driver too."

Anyways, these sets remind me a little too much of the Superhero Girls sets. However, I will probably still get them for the new/updated figures.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I may get the Lobo set for him and his bike.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I hate to say it to first appearances but Cheetah looks terrible and Firestorm's face looks...odd.

On a side note, is that net new?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Whelp, we got a good Reverse Flash and a great Lobo out of it...

Everything else is a dumpster fire.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is one the first waves of DC sets I will get all of. Loving the flash minifigures!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Lex mech set is awful! Not only is the build bad the figures are boring. The Cyborg set is ok, build is bad but I expected that, great figs though. My favorite is the Superman set, build is ok, but figures are fantastic. Good thing he sets are cheap top.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

@Boredom Surpreme new/updated figures?! These figures doesn't even have leg printing (except Wonder Woman), you should place your money on the justice league sets for updated minifigures.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think these might be based off of the "Justice League: Action" cartoon. I could be wrong though.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

what are the villains holding in these sets? Lobo, luthor and thawne are some kind of canister things. these new weapons like the power blasts or is this some kind of "the bad guys have stolen [insert maguffin here]!" over-arching story for the theme?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Wow! 3 greats sets for a change.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Such harsh reviews with this bunch. I think most Super Hero sets aren't that fantastic anyway since they just need something to look good enough for a kid to play with. The figures look decent overall. I don't know much about Lobo, so I'm surprised Superman isn't fighting Lex instead of Batman. But I guess they had to squeeze in Krypto. Also, odd that they had to create a new Krypto for both Super Hero girls AND the standard line. I don't understand their marketing I guess.

I'll likely pick these up for the right price since there are enough new figures to warrant that. But I'll wait for good sales.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Dig Lobo's Spacehog and the fig. Another Luthor Mech but I like it too. Reverse Flash nice to have in the collection. Krypto looks alittle goofy though.
Everything else is a pass but good small sets for kids (or us big kids...ahem) with lots of minifigs to play with and battle!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Sets a year ahead, as always, look so un-Lego-like... New parts, I guess? Anyway, LOBO! He's going to make fans of DC and Lego VERY HAPPY!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I don't mind some of these sets, I think we've seen worse superhero sets. The mecha is cool enough, and the helicopter/copter combo is odd, but hardly awful. The figure selection, OTOH? Cheetah, Lobo, Firestorm (!), Reverse Flash and Killer Frost? I'm onboard.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These aren't that bad! Good figs.

Pursuit... Chase... Attack... Takedown... Battle..

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love how bonkers it is that they've included freakin' ultraviolent Lobo in the same set as Krypto the Superdog. It's like if they made a Marvel set featuring The Punisher and Squirrel Girl (sidenote Lego: please do that).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

A totally new mould just for Krypto? Kind of reminds me of one of the dogs from Clifford the Big Red Dog. I actually quite like the builds here, but occasionally the colours are a little much and the 'random bits' we assume minifigs use to attack each other seem to be strewn everywhere.

Side note - Wonder Woman appears to be the only minifig with leg printing - has it vanished in the DC Universe?

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ Maybe a re-color of Scooby-Doo?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Are these sets really that bad? Like they're ridiculously brightly colored, but they look pretty well built...especially Cyborg's helicopter. I'm also curious about all those new parts. Are they some variation on the power blast or something?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm not fond of Lobo. I can kind of get behind reusing the Scooby-Doo body for Krypto, however I think the DC Super Hero Girls line has the better Krypto. Ace (The Bat-Hound) probably would pull that look off better. Superman's hair is terrible they should have stuck with the traditional Superman hair piece.

Gravatar
By in United States,

LOVE NewHead Scooby repaint!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think these new sets look quite good. However, I must admit, I was kind of hoping that the Speed Force Freeze Pursuit was going to have minifigures inspired by the CW show's version of the characters. I gotta get myself a CW Flash figure!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Krypton will take some getting used to for me, he looks rather like the Lego Scooby Doo.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Such negativity towards these... ouch!
I don't think they're too bad. Nothing particularly special, but not horrible either. I'm glad they're still using classic prints for WW, Flash, et al after the alternate appearances of many of these characters in recent D.C. movies.
The thing that bothers me most is that Batman looks super strange without a cape.

Gravatar
By in France,

What? Really Lego ? A Lobo minifig? I wanted this guy so much in Lego form, he is like the Deadpool version in DC comics. And for the builds, I think they are meh...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow.... I have exactly the opposite taste of LEGO fans, I think these look better than normal. There are no hand held stud shooters (I hate them), Batman is only in one set, and not the main build. The helicopter is actually interestingly different.

If the range of the sets is $20-$40. Lobo $20, Mech $40, Helicopter $30. I would almost bet money on it. (Slim chance helicopter is $25.

I have no issue with LEGO using Scooby's legs, but the head looks weird to me.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I was hoping the reverse flash was going to look like the one from the cw series but it's ok!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

My six year old daughter wants to know why Cheetah has so few spots and none on her arms. I'm inclined to agree.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

All looks pretty good, especially for the price point. These new 'effect' transparent pieces will be excellent for microscale battle scenes, too...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

For those of us into the DC Comics Universe, I'm thrilled that the sets provide us with the remaining arch-nemesis's for the main members of the Justice League.

Superman v Lex Luther
Batman v Joker
Wonder Woman v CHEETAH
Flash v REVERSE-FLASH
Green Lantern v Sinestro
Aqua Man v Black Manta
Cyborg v Dark Seid (considering Cyborg's body is made of 'Mother-Box parts)

It's great to see Superman's Rogues Gallery expand with the addition of Lobo, and also nice to have the secondary roster of the Justice League expanded with Fire-Storm (along with arguably his arch-nemesis, Killer Frost)

Curiously, Lobo and Killer Frost (who is in her modern iteration) have just been formed into a new Justice League of America in the comics, organised by Batman. That said, this is Lobo in his old design and not the new one in the comics, so not sure what to think here.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'll take Lobo, Krypto, Firestorm, Cheetah, Reverse Flash and Killer Frost. Lovely new figures.
I wish Lego would have one year not making anything new to allow me to catch up though.
Starting to fall behind on the Super Heroes and two years behind on Star Wars ??

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Looks like a lot of mixed feelings about these sets :p

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

These look so different and cartoonish, i love them!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't understand the negativity here. I think the minifigs are great. I guess no leg printing means terrible figs for some people. Awesome to have Lobo. Since there is now Lobo, maybe there's a possibility of a Jonah Hex minifig in the future?

We gotta remember that LEGO is a child's toy. The builds are fine. I dig the copter and Luthor's mech is bright but ok. I like the look of that paired with the minifig. Lobo's Spacehog seems like a fun build.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Who cares about figs if we are getting 1x2 rounded plate!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I think lex Luther, s mech should of had superman in it instead of batman or better still, supergirl, with lena Luther.
Batman superman and lex have had loads of lego sets, move over and give another hero some set time.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Superman set is eh, but the others look great.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

What caught my attention were the new cool effect parts and the weird cannister villains are holding.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@PicnicBasketSam, I think that red 1x2 plate with the hollow studs and the rounded edges is supposed to attach to the bottom of Firestorm's feet, so that you can slot in two of those fire blast pieces and make it look like he's flying through the air, propelled by jets of fire. Sorta like how they always include translucent cylinder pieces for the bottoms of Iron Man's feet.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The 1x2 round red part with the holes im guessing is for firestorm's feet, then u could stick long fire elements to make it look likfe hes flying!!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Not impressed by any of them. No interest at all in the Flash set, and while I usually love mechs, The Lex Luthor one is too garish and somehow looks poor quality. The same goes for Lobo. While aits a good representation of his space hog, its not detailed enough to make me want it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is that? IT IS! I don't believe it, FINALLY A FIRESTORM MINIFIGURE!!!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are alright... I usually prefer the sets based off of the movies, but there are some interesting figures. Not sure if I want these or not.

Gravatar
By in Jordan,

I am not a fan of Super Heroes, whether DC or Marvel, but I like that helicopter for some reason.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I seem to be in a small group of people who actually like these sets.
Also, LOBO and REVERSE FLASH!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Brick_Knight I buy all of my Lego sets by wave (all or none) so if I see some interesting stuff I'll probably buy everything. Some of the new figures (not updated) are pretty good--the only main exceptions for me are Cheetah and Cyborg (who looks knocked off compared to the old version).
But don't worry, I'll be buying the JL wave too ;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

@ZeeBricks I guess we're alone in the minority xD

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@ZeeBricks I agree it's not that good but the others look great!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Finally a non-Friends Krypto! And it comes with Lobo?!?!!? OMG

Gravatar
By in United States,

Holy all that is awesome in the world! An official Lobo mini figure!? Never thought I'd see the day. Lobo makes Deadpool seem like a Boy Scout in comparison. Not sure in what universe he's compatible with Lego's values, but I'm definitely not complaining. This will be one of the few Super Hero's sets in my collection, and the first that I've bought myself instead of receiving as a gift.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'm not into the source material so the sets are of little interest to me. Looks like some interesting new parts though! I will probably try and build some of the vehicles from my own parts. Lobo's 'tricycle' and the heli look pretty cool.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

What are the Bottle pieces the villains are carrying?

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are all must-buys for me. A couple of the builds are a little weak, but or the price range I really can't complain. And Reverse Flash!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

did anyone notice that the villains are all carrying similar containers with the trans colored bricks?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Better start saving now, both in terms of money and 'space'; cause I want all three. The 'Speed Force' one has me scratching my skull: that CAN'T be 'Ice', she's a hero; I'm guessing it's suppose to be 'Killer Frost' (who is a Flash-foe....at least on TV)

Beyond that, Lobo's space-cycle looks amazing (like it was pulled from a comic or Justice League Action). Firestorm in the Lex-set is a little strange, of he was swapped for Cyborg...although you'd lose the hero-vehicle in the Flash set...also, need more civilians/bystanders; just some thoughts:)

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Lobo's bike is something he actually uses, and Killer Frost's snow plow is adorable, but the rest of the builds range from bland to redundant. The figures do look pretty nice, especially Wonder Woman and Professor Zoom. I personally kind of hate Lobo, but I'm sure he's exciting for people who like him. I really don't understand the split between modern and classic in these sets...

Gravatar
By in Canada,

On the bottles are gold hexagons with a 'peace symbol' on it.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

So happy about the Reverse Flash and a good looking Cyborg, as I haven't got him yet and I'm not the biggest fan of the Flying Fox set. Also the new Batman figure looks like his rebirth suit.

@joshpepperjd I think that's the Lexcorp logo on the canisters

Gravatar
By in United States,

Siiiiiiggghhhhhhh......

Another Lex MEHc....and as much as I am stoked about the Reverse Flash set, a helicopter?!?! This is what, the 8th helicopter for DC related properties in as many years?!?! It's become the default vehicle! Let's move on!
