By in United States,

"What could be the best set of the year..." Emphasis on could, as the UCS Millennium Falcon is coming! ;)

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Screwed in Australia on pricing again :( $499 here when 1 AUD = 1 CAD.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

It is not available in Europe yet

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's not showing as available for me here in the US either.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Not for me in uk either.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Will be waiting for a 20% off sale for this set, or purchase while in USA.
The AUS cost is silly at $500.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Server problems I also see

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

I'll give you one guess as to whether they're taking the piss with New Zealand pricing. (Hint: They are.)

AUS$500 = NZ$540
GB£260 = NZ$460
US$300 = NZ$415

And the actual New Zealand price is NZ$600 : 10% more than Australia (who are also being ripped off versus UK/US pricing), 30% more than the UK, and 45% more than the US price. Read that again. Take those numbers in fully. Let their nonsensical price-gouging attitude wash over you.

I suspect when I query this they'll reply with the usual fatuous, insulting, factually-inaccurate bunch of lies that they usually copy-and-paste into their response. I'll keep you posted on the outcome.

By in Australia,

@ObijuanDunnobi We're about 0.2 cents lower than Canada right now. TLG probably use that as their justification xD
Yeah, we have to pay around 100 USD more than the US, after converting prices. GST can account for $40 of that, but the extra $60 USD, or $77 AUD... that's a Lloyd's Mech Dragon on special.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Dang that looks fantastic. Strongly reminiscent of some wonderful cyberpunk work I've seen from various AFOLs over the years.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hmmm...only $299.99 short. Almost there!

I'd be curious to see what a black/yellow Deus Ex type recolor of this would look like, because I'm getting serious Hengsha vibes from this set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It is only available for v.i.ps currently (or at least in the US). That is probably why it is not available to most atm.

@Teriyaqi same!!!, i soooo want to buy it

Gravatar
By in United States,

So very tempting to pick this up now... but gonna be patient.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Seems to be server problems in the UK right now, it's still showing unavailable and also my VIP points have disappeared so hope it's just a site glitch!!!
I'm going to Meadowhall store tomorrow so will hopefully pick one up there.

Gravatar
By in United States,

UCS MF will be epic but I would still rather have Ninjago city. Oh yeah and its not letting me pick up the set yet. "Error server" It says. Its probably just getting flooded with orders

Gravatar
By in United States,

Dude I would be so bummed if I lived in Australia or New Zealand and had to pay my arm for this set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Just spoke to my local Lego store and found out that the Lego VIP system is being upgraded/serviced and is offline. Without this shop.lego.com cannot verify your VIP to allow you to place the Ninjago City into the cart.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

^^ It only costs an arm when discounted. Normally it's *all* your limbs.....

Gravatar
By in Finland,

€299 in Germany, €349 in Finland - Same currency but €50 more expensive.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I want to buy both the cmf series and the ninjago city but can't decide which one I want to buy first.

Christmas needs to come faster!!

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Yes!! Nice, I can't wait a minute longer!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Not showing in UK, and all my VIP points have disappeared :(

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

"Due to site maintenance, promotions and free shipping will not appear in cart however they will still be applied to orders. VIP members will be able to earn points however will NOT be able to redeem points during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience!"

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Sorry! An unexpected error has occurred. Please call customer service. (code: server)

Idiots.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

@pmcguire:

I live in the Netherlands:

Germany 299 euro
Netherlands 329 euro

Yes, from where I live it is a 10 minute drive to Germany....

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Code: server... VIP points gone.... sigh...

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

The error is gone now but 70620 is still 'Coming Soon' in Ireland.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The largest toy manufacturer in the world, the release of the third largest ever set and they decide to perform site maintenance?

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

"coming soon" in still in Sweden too.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

What ridiculously bad timing, doing site maintenance when the most anticipated set of the year goes on sale...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Bad timing? You mean ineptitude?

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

VIP account back

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Yeah my accounts back and it's stopped giving me errors when I refresh, but the VIP system still needs some work I'm guessing cause the set is still coming soon...

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Huw, I think you mean the SECOND most anticipated set of the year ;)
Anyhow, also pretty bummed that I can't order this yet. Coming soon... Oh well. I'm not in that big of a rush.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Same here. Coming soon sept 1... hope they fix this soon...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Upgrades and site maintenance on the anticipated day of release is idiotic. Seriously, this couldn't have been done prior to? Either way LEGO knows people want it so they'll tease and make people wait. Here's just hoping that they've made more than several hundred sets and don't blunder it up like the Saturn V or other recent releases.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Do we think the fishing store set will also be out today or are they going to hold it back until after the designer events?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

On back order!?!?!?!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Lego really hate my bank account, too many awesome sets coming out at the moment

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

On Back Order already in Ireland. Ordered but this is ridiculous.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

What an epic clusterfuck release.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

It went directly to 'back order' for me here in the Netherlands as well, but I doubt that a first batch was sold THAT fast. I ordered it anyhow, and I'm expecting it to be shipped sooner rather than later.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I can order it from the UK, not on back-order yet...

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Back order gone in Sweden, now regular buy option.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@thatguy10189
That always happens when big new sets come out in the UK. Lego completely underestimates demand and they sell out within hours. Didn't this happen with the technic Porsche, the saturn v, the ucs snowspeeder and the assembly square?

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Just orderd one, now I just have to wait for like a week for the delivery!

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Ordered! :-D
First day one release order in a couple of years - usually now I wait for double VIP points for LEGO exclusive sets. But not this time. I want this set so bad it hurts!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Ordered - amazing set.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

So eager.... just had to take express shipping :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I brought the set very quickly when it went live but it had it on back order and I still ordered it and everything. Cause lego changed it straight after to Add to Bag, will I still get my 'Back Order' order within 3-7 days?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Just checked the US website - nothing. (Is it because of my IP address giving away my location? I'm trying to ship to a US address.)

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Looks incredible.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Ordered! As others, usually wait for double points but I'm not gambling on this one!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Technical difficulties, apparently. I'm signed into my VIP account, and it's still not allowing me to purchase it. Is it just the US having this problem right now?

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

T1Shadow. Could be the president blocking the site? Apparently he is afraid of a large influx of illegal Ninjas.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Just put my order in. I had tried a little earlier and it wasn't showing as available but all fine this time. ( Apart from being very expensive. )

Gravatar
By in Norway,

I didn't wait for double points this time either, the Saturn was sold out so fast it scared me :) The old fishing store will also be a first day buy for me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@UtarEmpire - same story here. It now includes a caption "VIP Members: If you would like to purchase this set, please sign in to your account"; which I am! Come on LEGO get your act together! They're certainly not acting like the world's largest gross toy company with blunders like this.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

@Block-n-Roll I normally don't complain about NZ prices but this time it was too much and I posted a message on twitter after noticing a 25% difference between NZ and France. I received this useless answer from TLG: "The price of sets depends on many factors, local taxes and costs of transport being the main ones. Hence, difference in price."

- France TVA: 20%
- NZ GST: 15%....
- Transport cost on the online shop from NZ: NZD80...
It is ridiculous.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Was 'on backorder' when I ordered at 9:40 this morning, then it became available again. Called Lego since my last two order went stuck in the 'in progress'-status. Now it is 'in warehouse' so all seems to be ok. I agree this is a case of seriously bad timing!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not sure if anyone else experiences this, but shop.lego.com blows! There is always an issue and pages hardly ever load correctly, one would think that they would get some UX testers.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

@Scrubs : Yep, that's their copy-and-paste "response" whenever you query their pricing. I've had the exact same wording each time, including one spectacular exchange where I got that response, replied with a request for a real person to contact me ... and got back the same copy-and-paste response. Staggeringly offensive attitude to customer service.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was finally able to order it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yep, looks like it is working in the U.S. now. Ordered from my phone after having no luck from my desktop and work computer. Must have just been timing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hey Huw, SECOND most anticipated set of the year! :-)

Gravatar
By in Serbia,

It's funny how AFOLs act as KidFOLs when they cannot get the set they want immediately, haha.

Guys, did you do your homework and all your chores, have you all been good kids since the release, you super special VIPs?
That's why you can't get the set immediately - TLG's ultimate punishment, hah!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I see the link is working fine now, and had no problems adding it to checkout. On a related note, does anyone have 300.00$ I can borrow? I'm good for it come Christmas!

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

In China, the retail price is CNY3299 or USD492, a hefty 64.5% higher than the online price for U.S market. Seriously we don't understand Lego's logic for marking the prices in China much higher than the rest of world, given a factory is operating there. Already in Taobao you could see many pre-order from third party sellers who would bring in the sets from oversea. What a ironic given Lego is manufacturing the set right in China. In the mean time, do check out our review on Ninjago City. https://brickscrunch.wordpress.com/2017/08/15/the-lego-ninjago-city-70620-set-review/

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

If I ever buy one very expensive set (afte rthe Republic Dropship and the AT-OT) it will be this one.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Word of warning - the box is rather heavy and had a bit of a 'Home Alone' moment when the carrier bag handles snapped between shop and car this afternoon... worth the embarrassment though, can't wait to get started tonight!!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just picked one up at Meadowhall, they had 2 built in store and it looks spectacular in real life, can't wait to build it!!!
I quizzed the girl in the store about the large mystery set, she knows what it is but wouldn't tell!!! I said I promise I won't tell anyone but she wouldn't fall for it lol!!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

well here it comes the daddy of all of them all and the no.1 set to get for chirstmas!

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

@CMI it is probably payback for the rampant theft of their intellectual property rights that mostly seems to originate in China. :)

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I hope it'll be around for a while. I've just finally ordered the Temple, and the fishing store is coming up as well, and I sort of fear that the Parisian restaurant will retire by the end of this year (and I haven't bought it yet). So, like the London bus, I'd much prefer to wait till next year before buying this...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Just ordered mine. Definitely one of the most detailed sets I've ever seen.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Breathtaking set! Just ordered one! -Anyone knows when the next double VIPpoint campain will be?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I picked one up at the local store during my lunch break.. Employee said they had 11 sets when they opened this morning & there were 4 left after my purchase, so he expects they will be out by close tonight..

(And Laura_C wasn't kidding about it being heavy.. The shopping bag handles were painfully digging into my fingers by the time I made it out to my car..)

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Just picked one up at the local Lego Store! This is such an awesome build!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Just finished building mine this evening. This was my favorite set of the year when it was announced. But after building it, I may have to say this is my favorite set of all time! So many awesome building techniques, references to other parts of the LEGO universe/back catalog, and it all comes together in such a nice package.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

After seeing JANGBRiCKS speed build, I have to say they did a masterful job with the official images of covering up all this nasty empty space between the individual components. They definitely picked the "camera friendly side".

Gravatar
By in France,

is this D2C or will it be available at other retailers?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just moved house and was not supposed to buy more lego, but couldn't resist and was hidden in laundry closet til my partner found it :') am forbidden to build it until we finish unpacking from the move, but am enjoying sneaking peeks at the box and all that amazing detailing!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Will definately wait for this to become available through other shops than LEGO's.

But definately: MUST HAVE
