City Advent Calendar: Day 14

Posted by ,

A third minifigure emerged from the LEGO City Advent Calendar yesterday, maintaining the ice cream theme which began on day twelve. It will be interesting to see whether that continues on day fourteen.

Let's open the door and find out...

Fortunately, we are returning to something more festive with a selection of presents and a red stocking! Models like these often appear in LEGO City Advent Calendars which feels appropriate and these have been designed quite nicely, featuring a spectrum of bright colours for the wrapping paper and ribbons on the presents.

The stocking is slightly more unusual and looks superb. Its shape is realistic and the white lining presents an attractive contrast with some red pieces.

Overall - 3.5 - Wrapped presents are a necessity in any LEGO City Advent Calendar and these are a nice example.

By in Finland,

That's one big stocking. Someone has to show what it looks like when a figure is wearing it!

That stocking is so obvious now, but I really couldn’t work out what it was this morning... doh!

By in Sweden,

That's some nice looking presents, this hints that a christmas tree will probably appear in the next one or two days or so probably

It'd be fun to build two of the stocking (replacing the tile on top with a white 1x1 round plate) and then attach them to the bottom of a minifigure's feet.

I'm going with "giftwrapped stocking". Yeah, someone cheaping out by making a gift out of next year's giftwrap. If they don't have a stocking to hang already, you'd still need to buy one, but this gets you out of filling it for an entire year, and allows you to claim a higher gift count for the year even when you're really shorting them.
