40579 Eiffel's Apartment official images
Posted by CapnRex101,
Completing the trio of promotional sets revealed on LEGO.com today, official images of 40579 Eiffel's Apartment have been published.
Rumours give a good indication of how this set may be distributed, but I am sure confirmation will arrive shortly.

Pictures of the box are already circulating online, and the rumour has been around for almost a year!
Is that small side table covering the sticker legal? I thought bricks couldn't be placed over stickers?
Looks like a nice set!
Gee I wonder what set this could be attached to! It sure is a mystery!!
Looks like a nice GWP, but way too many stickers.
The person applying those stickers has amazing skill.
That pillar protruding through the apartment looks too thick and out of place. I get why it's there, but I feel like LEGO could have thinned it down a bit at least, or just omit it completely.
Why does he keep a coffin in his apartment?
I will not be getting this based on the simple fact that I will not be getting the massive Eiffel tower. But it as far as GWP’s go, it’s a nice one. Fun little design.
Maybe we will get the Eiffel Tower withe this appartment and the new Elves Winter scene??

Have you....looked at the historical images?
Very cute little set.
I have the smaller Eiffel tower and would love to get this to accompany it on display but just don't have the room for the new big kit.
Would love to see Mr. Gustave Eiffel's apartment in real life.

So... many... stickers! I'm gonna have to lie down, there are too many thoughts of misaligned stickers in my brain.
*rocks back and forth on heels muttering* Stickers! Stickers everywhere!

Wallpaper is basically stickers, so very realistic. :)
The wallpaper stickers are cool and it is a really nice GWP. However Mr Effiel's suit proves how Lego needs more forma/semi formal clothing for minifigs! They have this print from Harry Potter and a casual waistcoat (used for the accountant in Boutique Hotel) and that's about it for men's suits! (we don't really have any proper ladies dresses unless its fantasy).
Lego goes on about representing people, well they need to realise not everyone goes around in a hoodie with unwashed hair! Certainly for more historical themes we need more prints. I'm not sure why the modular buildings haven't given us more unique historical prints (Motorised Lighthouse for example gave us some great historical prints), and the modulars are clearly set in a 1930s-1950s era with things like architecture, furniture and vehicles, so why not give us some new hair pieces and/or prints as well?
Shame this GWP is only available by spending $700 or whatever it is on the Eiffel Tower (which does look cool). Fun fact for anyone who wants to see the real life Eiffel Tower, don't bother going to the top. The 2nd level is great while the top takes ages, costs more and you can't even see much because the glass is so dirty. I also highly recommend going on a tour because they get you through the lines quicker.
I never realized that Old Ben / Obi Wan Kenobi designed the Eiffel tower under an alias! ;-)
I always find it annoying that VIP weekend is before Black Friday and Cyber Monday you either spend and get the points or hope to save and I'm never able to do both.
As for the Eiffel, I hope the rumours are wrong on the price. Last time I looked at the rumours for a set they were. If not, I'll have to be satisfied with my architectural set.
It looks like there aren't any exclusive parts to this GWP, except for...stickers?

Sacre bleu! Ze girder is a unique architectural feature of ze apartment mon ami.
Talk like that will only get you exiled to Elba.
Nice pistol powered model rocket Mr. Eiffel.
Twelve stickers is "way too many"? First world problems!
Very happy Lego are doing the Maria Pia Bridge that this set with be GWP to.
If only this would be the start of a true minifig sized Eiffel Tower....
Love this set but I won't be purchasing the Eiffel Tower just to get it. Luckily I can probably round up most of the pieces to build it other than the stickers.

Lol. I thought the fig looks more like Connery as Bond.
Tower. Eiffel Tower.
I'm both impressed and repulsed by the wallpaper stickers design because wallpaper.
Ha, ha…! Stickers… Nice premium GWP, LEGO.

I feel a bit mean about my comment now because really wallpaper is stickers. I should really be uploading this set for its authenticity!
So… an official reveal of the Eiffel Tower is… soon?
I would love to live with a giant beam in th middle of my living room.
@ClassicSteam:
I've never heard anything about that. There's actually a very thin gap between any two LEGO bricks placed side-by-side, which should be enough to accomodate a sticker.
@Patrik78:
It's probably a computer render, which makes it stupidly easy to line them up. If only real life came with buttons to micro-adjust rotation and position...
@yellowcastle:
He has white hair, so clearly he's old and expects to die any day now.
@Brickchap:
They have done a _lot_ of suit jackets, but the problem is so many of them are tied to licensed IP and never transition to general use. Bruce Wayne has had at least three suits, two of them unique. Indiana Jones had a suit and a tuxedo. Lex Luthor had a 3-button suit. There have been a few suits from Harry Potter. There used to be a generic suit (used for one version of Bruce Wayne), and there was a CMF with a suit that was too small (stretched at the buttons).
I'm loving the parts use on that mini tower.

They're photos of actual bricks, so someone is good with stickers (one of them is slightly crooked, though).
Well, a set that has (almost) the same name as my username? I want it!
(But that’s a lot of stickers,,,)
Is this the first time that a GWP tied to a new set has been announced before the actual set? I mean, it kind of makes the announcement obvious and takes away some "surprise" from people who haven't been looking at rumors.
@PDelahanty:
I'm thinking no, but nothing comes immediately to mind.
Now it would be cool to have an entirely blue version of this set....apartment 65...
I thought the pistols weren't in production anymore since Western (or a few similar themes)! What an unexpected surprise!
Eiffel's Rocket Launch Pad / Revolver Armory.
Without the wallpaper, it would almost look like some star-wars vignette, but maybe because of the colors/angles.

I think they've used them since to represent worky bits on cars, such as exhaust pipes & suspension shocks.
I heard you might be able to get this if you buy an Eiffel tower. The tiny tower on the table is the only one I can afford, time to head to Pick a Brick to get those pieces! And then when I place the order this GWP will magically appear in my shopping cart ;)

The Batman semi-auto was only produced from 2006-2008, when it was replaced with the Indiana Jones version that is still produced today. The flintlock has been in production most years since 1989, with the longest gap being 2003-2008, and the most recent use being 2021. The 2-barrel sci-fi pistol has an unbroken run from 2011 to this year. This version hasn’t missed more than one year at a time since 1996, with one appearance this year in 76948. The Lone Ranger pistol might be what you’re thinking of, only being produced in 2013 for that theme (but almost every set came with two colors, since the Lone Ranger traditionally uses silver six-shooters, and anyone else who has a pistol gets a darker color to show they have regular guns).
@bananaworld:
Jurassic World used it in a set last year, where it represents a pistol.

Yeah @gunther_schnitzel really messed with my brain on that score; don't know what to think now.... thanks @gunther_schnitzel ! ;-)

don't forget the Western rifle... not seen since the 2013 Lone Ranger film, but it began alongside the pistol in the 1990's.
Do I need to buy the Tower?!?
@Murdoch17:
I only did a rundown of pistols (and left out several IP-exclusives, like the MoS Kryptonian gun) because @Phoenixio mentioned thinking the pistol used in the mini-Eiffel had been retired.
