Harry Potter Advent Calendar - Day 20

Posted by ,

After receiving the expected minifigure and two models based upon The Three Broomsticks Inn, the five remaining days of the Advent Calendar are difficult to predict.

Let's see what day twenty brings...

It seems we are staying at The Three Broomsticks for another day, as a table and chair emerge. These are not particularly appealing, after receiving a round table only a few days ago, although the festive table decoration looks splendid and I like the use of ice cream cones for the table legs. Their shape works well and at least this table is accompanied by a chair, which is more than we received on day eighteen.

Overall - This table and chair look nice, but have little obvious connection with the Wizarding World.

Homer: Um, is this the chair I'll be sitting on?
Smithers: Yeah.
[Homer plays with the chair]
Now, I realize caring for Mr. Burns seems like a big job, but... actually it's just 2,800 small jobs.
Homer: Uh huh. But this _is_ the chair, right?

"You have thirty minutes to move your car. You have ten minutes. Your car has been impounded. Your car has been crushed into a cube. You now have thirty minutes to move your cube."

By in Germany,

Across all calendars, it feels like there's been 24 tables by now...

Two cherries and a leaf of lettuce. Fitting for a lonely Christmas Eve dinner.

"Is it about my cube?"

The table legs are ok at least

I mean, on the other hand, it’s nice not having burned off 100% of the unspoiled models in one single, solitary day. And then wondering if the only reason they didn’t go 24 for 24 is they feared it might negatively impact sales if they showed you that one lonely unspoiled day before you popped any seals and voided your ability to return it for a full refund.

It's an ok table in a city context but I don't think you would see a table like that in the wizarding world

I’m always wary with foliage in Harry Potter; could be full of nargles

Mummy, have you seen my jumper? (On to SW).

Wow... a table

Isn't that object on the table the little statue Commander Riker gave Captain Picard as a joke on his vacation to Risa to get him EXTRA attention?

By in United States,

I switched the food from day 18 to this taller table. I think it looks better and the "coffee table" works better with the chair. Also, the grandfather clock from day (??) needs another 2x2 brown plate to bring the clock face forward.
