Perhaps unsurprisingly, LEGO's first foray into the Star Trek universe has been exceedingly successful. 10356 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D has boldly gone out of stock in the USA, and is on backorder until February in other markets.

The clear-out of items due to retire soon continues during the weekend, with over 130 items reduced in the USA and 90-odd in the UK and Europe. You can view all discounts at LEGO.com where you are, although it's not possible to order by percent discount. You can do that on our Buy listings.

Review: 31218 Japanese Cherry Blossom Landscape

Posted by ,

The Art theme has come a long way since the first Dots-for-adults examples that founded the line during 2020, encompassing LEGO versions of famous paintings as well as original works of art, such as 31218 Japanese Cherry Blossom Landscape, which will be released in January.

Not only is it a joy to behold, it's also very reasonably priced for a change.

21103 The DeLorean Time Machine vs. 77256 Time Machine from Back to the Future

Posted by ,

We published our review of the fantastic 77256 Time Machine from Back to the Future last week and mentioned its significant improvement over 21103 The DeLorean Time Machine, produced in 2013.

I did not have the chance to include comparison photos in the review, having left the Ideas set at my parents' house, though better late than never!

There is not much to say about the differences because the 2026 design is superior in every way, but I hope you find the images interesting...

Review: 21584 Nether & End Portal Journey

Posted by ,

A popular part of Minecraft gameplay is exploring the bizarre different dimensions in the game. While you'll spend most of your time in the Overworld, there are some great adventures to be had by travelling to the fiery Nether and to the barren realm known as the End.

21584 Nether & End Portal Journey seeks to provide an inexpensive taste of both of these locations. This seems like a fantastic set from official images, and I have been very excited to take a closer look at it.

Here's the press release for the latest issue of Blocks Magazine.

Blocks, the monthly magazine for LEGO fans, Issue 134 launched today and is a celebration of creativity, design, fandom and the latest developments from the brick universe. For decades, fans have wondered whether LEGO Star Trek could ever become a reality — and now that it has, Senior Model Designer Hans Burkhard Schlömer and Graphic Design Manager Crystal Fontan reveal the creative journey they went on as Star Trek: The Next Generation fans. They discuss how they approached its iconic shape, balanced accuracy with stability and overcame the engineering challenges of turning such a beloved starship into an official LEGO model.

Review: 40864 Fortune Master

Posted by ,

The annual Chinese Traditional Festival selection has included some smaller sets lately and 40813 Lucky Cat, launched last year, was delightful. The cartoony 40864 Fortune Master looks superb as well, featuring an interesting artistic style.

There are similarities between this fun character and the Lucky Cat and the Fortune Master offers a great deal of personality, aided by clever use of some alternative eyes.
