Without doubt, then, the articles that interested you the most concerned news about, and reviews of, unreleased sets: Slave 1, Ghostbusters, Sandcrawler, Exo-Suit etc.
The availability of the Exo-Suit, or rather the lack of it, was the most discussed topic. Thankfully the supply problems have now been resolved, but not before many of you had to wait for months not knowing whether you'd get one or not. The launch of the new-look Brickset also generated a lot of chatter, not all of it positive, but I hope by now that you've come round to liking it.
However, arguably the biggest story of the year, one that's not reflected above, is the success of The LEGO Movie and the impact it's had on the LEGO Company's bottom line: profits were up 12% for the first half of 2014. Who would have predicted that the world would go LEGO crazy when we first heard about it...
So, what were the highlights of your LEGO year? What other significant stories are not represented in the lists above?

My highlight was the release of LEGO The Simpsons!
Thanks Huw, it's always good to read your review of the year on Brickset. Anything about the Exo-Suit was an instant must read for me!
Happy Random Point in the Space Time Continuum annually designated as New Year to you and all the Bricksetters around the world.
It was a great Lego year! Many wonderful sets and The Lego Movie was awesome. Best set for me this year was Metalbeard's Sea Cow. As a big fan of steampunk and pirates it was a first minute buy ;) Next year will be even better for me, as I am going on the Inside Tour! Keep up the great reviews and articles! Have a happy new year everyone!
There's been too many LEGO highlights this year for me to pick just one, but I suppose the continuing updates of the new Star Wars movie and the release of the Rebels cartoon series this year means there's lots of new LEGO Star Wars sets for me and my son to build in 2015!
Happy New Year to the Brickset team (keep up the excellent work in 2015!) and Happy New Year to all AFOLs, TFOLs and CFOLs out there - Happy Building!
The highlight of my LEGO year is the inclusion of the male minidolls Prince Charming, Prince Eric, and Flynn Rider in the Disney Princess theme. I'll admit that the Prince Eric is not the best translation from cartoon to minidoll, but it's nice for this father to have some male characters to use when playing with his daughters. And as a Disney fan, they are stand out pieces to my LEGO collection.
I wonder why the news of Series 12 CMFs achieved so many page views, any ideas Huw?
^ Probably because Minifigs in general are the biggest draw for consumers and that was the first series after TLM and Simpsons, so no one knew where they would be going next
It's possibly an anomaly but that's what the database counter says, which is incremented every page view.
Speaking of the new site layout, any way we can make "Polybag" a searchable Theme/Tag/whatever? Pardon me if it already is, but I couldn't figure it out and would like to see what tiny polybag sets are out there, especially because they're so elusive in stores anyway.
The Series 12 CMF rumors circulated just after the new site design took over, IIRC. I know there were problems with page views and "readers on-line" counts for a week or two after that.
^^ For those released since 2010: http://brickset.com/sets?query=30000-30999 will show all that are likely to be found in stores.
You can also create a query to show all polybags, e.g. http://brickset.com/sets/query-546
2014 held so many memories, and I cannot wait to share future ones with all of you. Happy New Year!
Most important news for me was the way the Exo Suit is still very easy to purchase despite its initial popularity, while the Research Lab with the three females (which came out the same day) was only available for two days, then has been listed as sold out ever since then. It's very disappointing!
